If you hold a coin and pump it to a large group without any real updates (Elon has nothing to do with the core Bitcoin/Dogecoin team), you are in it to make a profit. Buy low, sell it higher when there is FOMO. Agree, everyone needs to do their own research, but encouraging others to buy without disclosing if you own a stake is borderline illegal.

Why would the name matter? I don't understand why people point it out unless it's something like stealingbitcoins.fraud I don't see a problem with it, with thousands of names in use and many more bought just to be parked not everyone can find a domain that can stand out. Cryptsy and Mintpal sounded better, the outcome seems to be just the same.
It does matters if someone really wanted to build their brand into well known among all the similar service in the crypto market, so my assumption is always like that if a service didn't give much time to name their brand may not be very serious with their projects. I think unnamed is probably a way to stand-out. Take for example, the No Name brand of groceries in Canada. https://www.cpacanada.ca/en/news/pivot-magazine/2020-02-25-no-name-ad-campaign, some people think it is brilliant because it is a way for people to remember when compared with names like Heinz or Kraft.

I have followed Unnamed for quite a while. It was one of the first exchanges we listed our coin (NTBC) on. The exchange wallets can only be accessed by Till (the owner) and no one else. Further, he seems to have setup ssh access to the wallet server only for a fixed time window. While it seems like a good solution for security, it clearly does not scale well. Early on, the number of listed coins on the exchange was low. As a single person, it was easier to manage withdrawal requests and keep the community happy.
Now, with the increased number of coins, this model is not very efficient. Personally, I don't believe funds have gone missing. This is more of a infrastructure and personnel problem. The owner needs to find more people who can help him with the exchange side of things. He has recruited community managers, but having someone say "Thanks for the ticket. Be patient, we are working on your issue." is not going to go very far and will lead to posts like this.
In the crypto market, not having access to funds at the right time is really frustrating and means a difference in profit and loss. I am a member of the Unnamed discord and the slow resolution of tickets is the bulk of the chat. Long story short, UE needs more staff.

Hey.. If you love ELON.. You will love the super exclusive ELONG. There are just 100 ELONG in existence.
Get 1 ELONG by sending me 100 ELON. Everyone wants to go to space, but with ELONG, we will go to the Earth's core. Let's go under! More exactly - 2,900 kilometers (1,802 miles) down.

When you can look at bank fees as a percentage of the total transaction in the same currency, why can't we look at ETH fees as % of ETH. For e.g., if I transfer 1000 USD from an account in the US to Vietnam, the wire transfer fees could be 25 USD. That is a whopping 575,537.50 VND. Which could probably pay for a meal in terms of local currency.
Agree the fees could be high, but attaching the USD value is probably what makes it seem much higher.

I like coins that have both PoW and PoS. Full PoS coins are not my thing, I don't mind spending money to mine as I usually hold my coins. However, with PoS, I feel I am trading and am just paying a higher price for people who bought a few days before me.

I whitelisted you so it should reduce the time.
Thank you kindly. It is much appreciated.

Thanks for the info. My only problem is that while posting, I might quickly look up another thread or search for similar details posted before. I understand the need to stop spam, but I think it should be 1 search every 360 seconds and 1 post every 360 seconds, not both clubbed within the same window.

I wonder if this is a functionality that is expected. If I search for something using the forum's search functionality, it does not allow me to post anything for 6 minutes. I get the message that this IP has posted in the past 360 seconds. Has this happened to others?

Happy Birthday NoteBlockchain. We are now 2 years old.

Hey bubba.. Long time. What do you think of the chain now?
PS: I don't care about the politics angle, but I think I would rather explain on Twitter about WhatsApp's sharing of data with Facebook and how NoteBlockchain doesn't.

Welcome onboard kriptokyng. Good to see a Node based pool for Note. I have had trouble installing NOMP based pools for NTBC and switched to YiiMP.

What is the purpose of the coin? Some more details would really help.
Your site URL is down, please check.
If there's no purpose or whatsoever, you maybe just wasting your resources here. Because you also need to know if the dev of this coin has solid plans to list in exchanges. Because a lot of projects have never see the light of exchanges. So in effect, you will just be wasting your time mining the coin for no reason. Exactly. It is easy (relatively speaking) to clone bitcoin/litecoin repo and start a chain. Without a purpose, it is going to just be throwing away hash power.

Reading through open source is quite tricky and I don't know enough of the language(s) to understand and be certain that the code is secure. I recently had a developer help me implement DigiShield in the chain. Apart from knowing that he was a trusted developer, all I could do was compare the lines of change and analyse (to the best of my knowledge) why a function was added, what the function returned and so on.
I usually trust open source repos that have multiple forks and frequent commits. These do not automatically guarantee that the code is without malicious sections, but I feel a little more confident that more than 1 set of eyes has looked at the code.

Digishield was activated sometime on Dec 26th 2020 (not 2022 as some people might have predicted), the chain has been pretty stable. Block spacing can be seen at the following Openchains explorer https://openchains.info/coin/ntbc/blocksFollowing this, both Unnamed Exchange and AltMarkets have resumed trading. If you are on the old wallet, you will not be able to connect to the network and your wallet will STOP syncing up until the Digishield block. Download the latest versions of the desktop wallet here https://github.com/note-llc/noteblockchain/releasesMore to come this year. Stay tuned.
