1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: May 05, 2023, 09:43:54 PM

Youth are interested in Bitcoin because it's easy to work with if you understand the ntrigrity also it's a way to make money, over time BTC has risen, and with this, the youth may be interested in a way to do business digitally.
We need to talk more about the benefit of Biticion in other to attract more youth because the majority do not know how this coin works.

To get more young people interested in Bitcoin, we need to explain the good things about it and show them how it can be used. Bitcoin can be used for fast, cheap, and secure digital transactions, and it is not controlled by just one group, making it fair and open to everyone. By telling young people about all these benefits and how Bitcoin works, we can help them use this digital money for business and making more money.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin network fee, worrying sign? on: May 05, 2023, 08:54:48 PM
Sorry for another topic about the recent issue going related to bitcoin network congestion but I really want to know that Bitcoin ordinals so called NFTs is really going to change the fee required for the transaction in the future?

Because I didn't witness such kind of clog since 2017 but by that time there is no segwit, exchanges are clogging the network purposely and so on but later for so many years the fee issue isn't really there but all of a sudden we have to pay over 100 sats for over transaction to get into the block may create a bad image and it will create the FUD and may initiate the price drop.
Back in the day when Bitcoin was not very popular and NFT was not around, there weren't many users, so the fees were low and there were no network congestions.

But now that the popularity of Bitcoin and NFTs has grown tremendously, there are a lot more people searching for and using them, which is causing the network to become congested.

Moreover, new projects that mint NFTs or offer presales on the first-come, first-served basis require people to set high gas fees to increase their chances of getting a slot.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The purchase Bitcoin during its early stages. on: May 05, 2023, 08:24:48 PM
What is the riskiest or most unconventional action you have taken in order to purchase Bitcoin during its early stages, despite the lack of guarantees or promises that it would appreciate in value?
I became aware of Bitcoin through taking part in high-risk investment programs, also known as HYIP. At that time when Telegram had just launched, there was a well-known HYIP website that created a Telegram investment bot. I bought my first Bitcoin to participate in Bitconnect

Just trust, I remember that time people always think of bitcoin as the money that we can only get to faucet and HYIP. Many times I have a loses because that time I am addicted to HYIP, early stages of bitcoin has a lot of doubts from its investors, I found bitcoin when it is at 400-500usdt only, now long at how it grows and how many people all over the world accepts bitcoin.
Oh
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the world still see Bitcoin as a scam, or is it just a lack of interest? on: May 05, 2023, 07:54:14 PM
This question has been raised several times, and I have noticed that some people conclude that the lack of adoption is due to people not understanding Bitcoin or seeing it as a scam.
It's unlikely that this is the case today, as Bitcoin has been around for over a decade, and negative perceptions have mostly dissipated. Rather, the low adoption rates may reflect a general hesitation towards a risky investment, especially one with such high market volatility. People may be more inclined to save their money or invest in low-risk markets, despite inflation.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop comparing BTC to FIAT. FIAT is dying every single day. on: May 04, 2023, 11:14:51 PM
Look at $100k.

Now imagine owning $100k 20 or 30 years ago. Wow, that was a lot of cash! You could have bought a home, maybe a nice car and still have some money left in the bank.

Today... do the math and see what you can buy Grin

Inflation is killing FIAT every single day.

So stop comparing BTC to FIAT and see the true value of Bitcoin. Don't go "wow" when BTC hits $100k. Because $100k today doesn't value that much anymore. It's still low.

Given the poor FIAT value 1 BTC is terrible cheap these days. $30k in 2009 is not $30k in 2023. You need like $42k for the same purchasing power.

What I mean is... don't sell cheap when you do it because you might never see your BTCs again.

Sell only for your real needs. Get the house or the car of your dreams. Have some money in your bank account. Live your life. But don't keep them all in the bank, those money will disappear day by day.

The governments will keep printing...
You cannot stop people from comparing Bitcoin to fiat currency. The true value of Bitcoin cannot be properly evaluated due to the continuous inflation that diminishes the value of fiat currency. While $100k held great value many years ago, its value has significantly decreased today due to inflation.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't give you instant 100 percent profits on: May 04, 2023, 10:51:41 PM

I just draw out this post due to some post I have been reading across here and it annoys me seeing people or newbies always asking after a platform to give them $100 daily, $50 daily
Certainly, they are newbies and they wish to be able to earn money daily. With a profit of $50 a day, $100 a day, they are equivalent to $1500 per month and $3000 per month, respectively.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a more pronounced and researched Cryptocurrency. on: May 04, 2023, 10:22:01 PM
The human race has developed both mentally and otherwise to the extent of making versed research in getting more detailed information about the recent happenings in crypto more expecially Bitcoin and it's possible total adoption, this has over the time help both beginners and old folks in Bitcoin world to know it's benefits and also the right targetted period to invest in it and also the need to promote it as one of the most profit expectant Cryptocurrency.

this informations has change the mind set of many to believe that Bitcoin has come to stay as the currency of the future and have to be accepted despite not being a legal tender.

Always bitcoin.

Your statement means that the internet is currently rapidly expanding, allowing both the elderly and the young to have access to it.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had a time traveling machine, then? on: May 04, 2023, 02:28:35 PM
I am not sure if I would buy Bitcoin if I could travel back to the past. Even if I did invest, I wouldn't be certain that I could hold onto it until its peak value of $69K last year, given that it would require holding onto Bitcoin for 13 years between 2009 and 2022
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE VIEW OF SOME PEOPLE OVER BITCOIN on: May 03, 2023, 11:51:36 PM
Some people don't see Bitcoin as a normal currency and think it's too risky because its value can change a lot. They also worry that it's used by criminals for illegal activities like money laundering. However, other people think Bitcoin is amazing because it's different from traditional currencies and could change how we use money. Nobody knows for sure what will happen to Bitcoin in the future, but people are still talking about it and interested in it.
You are correct, there are individuals who are skeptical about Bitcoin and view it as a high-risk investment due to its volatility and association with illegal activities such as money laundering.

However, there are also those who recognize Bitcoin's potential to revolutionize the financial industry and believe in its decentralized nature. The fact that Bitcoin is not controlled by a central authority and its transactions are secured using encryption technology is a major appeal to some people.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public Perspective towards Bitcoin on: May 03, 2023, 11:29:20 PM
I've been thinking for a while on how the perception of the public will turn into positive in regards to bitcoin and other cryptocurrency?
This is an excellent question and an important one for the future of the cryptocurrency industry. Changing the public's perception of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies may be challenging, but it is not impossible. Here are a few suggestions on how to shift the narrative from negative to positive:

Education: As with anything that is new or unfamiliar to people, education is key. The more people know about Bitcoin and how it works, the more comfortable they will be with it. A great way to educate the public is through social media. You can share informative articles, infographics, and videos that explain the basics of Bitcoin and its potential benefits.

Highlight the positives: There are many positive aspects to Bitcoin that are often overlooked in the media. For example, Bitcoin has the potential to make financial transactions faster and more secure. It can also reduce transaction fees and provide greater financial freedom to people who don't have access to traditional banking systems. By highlighting these positives, we can shift the narrative and create a more balanced view of Bitcoin.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it take to become a Bitcoin investor on: May 03, 2023, 11:07:01 PM
I have a close friend who recently purchased 0.8 Bitcoins and when we met he was happy and was like " I am now a Bitcoin investor"
At that point I go this question in mind ;what does it really take to become a Bitcoin investor .does it mean that if you own a considerable amount of Bitcoin in your wallet you are now a Bitcoin investor or there is more to it aside having a basic knowledge of crypto currencies
To be a successful Bitcoin investor, you need to have a solid understanding of the underlying technology, market trends, and trading strategies. This includes keeping up with the latest news and developments in the cryptocurrency space, conducting thorough research before making investment decisions, and setting realistic goals and risk management strategies.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we help to Bitcoin education? on: May 03, 2023, 10:51:29 PM
Imagine if there was a thing, what thing? I don't know, just imagine a thing that people could store value, just like gold, and at the same time they could exchange this thing among everyone on earth without depending of any trusted partier. This thing is also limited just like gold, and it is so limited that there is only 21 millions available, but it is not a problem because you can buy literally only $1 dollar of it in seconds. There is no way you can just print more of this thing because there are thousands of copies of every single transactions all around the world. And there are also thousands and thousands of people that are building around this thing, discovering new technologies, searching for possible fails and improving it, writing about it, teaching about it, well..

Bitcoin is the thing.

Any ideas to spread the Bitcoin education to the world?

I'm making a YouTube channel to simplify Bitcoin for beginners, and also making daily threads on Twitter.

Check my new thread - "Bitcoin simplified for beginners" and give me feedback:

It's fantastic to hear that you are taking the initiative to spread awareness and education about Bitcoin! Social media platforms like Twitter and YouTube can be excellent tools for reaching a wide audience and sharing information in a digestible format.

Here are some additional ideas to consider as you work to spread the word about Bitcoin:

1. Host free webinars or live Q&A sessions where people can ask questions and learn about the basics of Bitcoin from an expert.
2. Collaborate with other educators or influencers in the space to cross-promote each other's content and reach more people.
3. Consider launching a podcast or blog where you can share updates and insights about the latest developments in the Bitcoin ecosystem.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You shouldn't be worried about bitcoin on: May 02, 2023, 06:36:59 PM
I have been silently reading and watching people's post.. It's mostly filled with worries and lack of faith, bitcoin is here to exist and there are no alternatives. The technology has been recorded already so I don't think anything else would come break the efforts they puts in building bitcoin and blockchain Technology. It's just as computer is being built which includes;

1. The first Generation of computer which was built with a vacuum tubes ( At then I believe there were Thomas who didn't believe on that technology but today where are those people)? calm down bitcoin still have a long way to go..

2. The Second Generation of computer which is solely built with transistors or discrete transistors was then and upgrade of Vacuum tubes.( Yet there were Thomas that kept saying for how long will this last), I believe so..

3. Third Generation of computer was then an upgrade of second Gen, that is being built with Integrated Circuits which was far more better than 1 & 2 generation computer. So why killing your self just know bitcoin haven't reached up to 20 years or 30 years.

4. Fourth Generation which was then know for microprocessors also better than 1, 2, and 3.

5. Fifth was also the upgrade of 1 to 4 generations so it is to come till whatever generation to come..

Inclusion and summary, Why don't we have this mentality towards bitcoin and know its the latest Generation that has came to stay which through bitcoin we had a blockchain that featured all forms of technologies in the world, and yet you think one day bitcoin price will fail you? My dear this is No to my answer because those who witnessed those 1 to 3 Generations of computer aren't there again so in essence why not buy bitcoin and hold and think of 20 years to come and more, if only we can centered our heart with the progression of computer then we would patient enough not to talk about price of bitcoin at this present moments.
So please bring down your tension and feel free with bitcoin since there are more things to explore with this current Technology.

I have been reading and watching people's posts, and I noticed that many are filled with worry and lack of faith in Bitcoin. However, Bitcoin is here to stay, as the technology behind it has already been established. It's similar to the evolution of computers:

The first generation of computers was built with vacuum tubes, and although some people were skeptical at the time, the technology persevered.

The second generation used transistor technology, which was an improvement over the vacuum tube technology of the first generation.

The third generation saw an upgrade in technology with integrated circuits, which was a major improvement over the previous two generations.

The fourth generation featured microprocessors that were even more advanced.

The fifth generation was an upgrade of the first four generations.

In conclusion, we should have the same mentality towards Bitcoin as we did towards these previous generations of computers.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: FEAR + GREED & BITCOIN - Doesn't add up in 2019 on: May 02, 2023, 06:31:31 PM
FEAR + GREED AUG 2019 BTC has just had a good pump from $3000 to $10,000 apprpox.

I would have assumed F&G would have been more in the 60s/70s because we eventually got a drop to $6000 and back to $3000.

Why was F&G so low (fear) after a pump. It would suggest the sentiment was to buy?

I know it's not a science but just curious as to why the siganls and market sentiment offered by F&G didn't line up
The Fear and Greed Index (F&G) is a measure of market participants' sentiment towards Bitcoin. While it can be helpful in assessing the overall sentiment towards cryptocurrencies, it is important to note that it is not a perfect science and can be influenced by many factors.

In the case you mentioned, with BTC having a good pump from $3000 to $10,000, it makes sense for the market sentiment to lean more towards greed. However, it is possible that other factors, such as regulatory concerns or market volatility, may have kept F&G at short-term lows.

It's also important to remember that F&G is not the be-all and end-all of market analysis, and investors should consider a range of other factors when making investment decisions. Finally, market sentiment can be difficult to accurately predict, and even the most sophisticated tools and techniques may not provide a complete picture of what is driving market behavior.
