Yesterday we had the final of the Caribbean Premier League, which was won by St Lucia Kings. First they restricted Guyana Amazon Warriors to just 138/8, with Noor Ahmad returning amazing figures of 4-0-19-3. He picked up the crucial wickets of Moeen Ali, Shimron Hetmyer and Raymon Reifer. These Afghan players are gradually becoming hot properties in franchise T20 leagues around the world. In return, Roston Chase and Aaron Jones were involved in an unbeaten 88 run stand to take the Kings home.

Ireland seems to be in good position in their match against South Africa. They are 274/7 after 48.2 overs. They may end up with a total of around 280-290, which is going to be quite decent at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi (also need to remember that this is a day/night match). Paul Stirling finally came up with a good innings, but missed century by just 12 runs. On the other hand, for South Africa both Lizaad Williams and Ottneil Baartman were quite impressive.

Heavyweight clash between South Africa Women and England Women ongoing at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, as a part of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Poms are well on top, as Proteas have only made 98/3 after 16.4 overs. Both the teams won their first match, and the winner of this match will go on top of the points table. Anyway, Group B looks a little bit easier, as it has teams like Bangladesh and Scotland. Even then, it is an all out battle between South Africa, England and West Indies to qualify for the semi-finals.

Looks like India is going to win the match against Pakistan today. Indian fans were quite disappointed with the loss in first match (vs New Zealand), but the win against Pakistan will definitely boost their morale. Nothing is assured though. Indian women were able to restrict Pakistan to a paltry total of 105/8, but then they lost a wicket early on during the chase (that of Smriti Mandhana). Now Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues are trying to stabilize the innings against Nashra Sandhu and Tuba Hassan.

The VP debate was definitely beneficial to the Rep ticket but its questionable how important it is overall. Also the timing, the point was made that people are already casting votes in some cases and hence another debate wont occur between the main candidates.
In theory less people change their minds in these last 30 days but if we consider the swing states determine the likely outcome and disregard the bigger states as already a done deal then everything that could change peoples minds does matter. Especially true if the polls are close to correct in showing a near balance of 50/50 is possible and it can still go either way, certainly it does feel that way and I expected indication of a clear Dem win by now tbh.
We have exactly a month to go for the elections. And I am quite surprised by your optimistic forecast for the Dems. During the last two elections, opinion polls under-estimated support for Trump by a minimum of 2-3 percent points. And on both occasions, Trump was trailing a majority of the swing states in the polls. This time, as per the polls he is ahead in many of the crucial states (such as Pennsylvania, Arizona and Georgia). If opinion polls are saying this, then when the results are out Trump is going to win by a landslide.

Tomorrow's match is going to be quite important for the Indian team. At this point, they have no points from 1 match and a NRR of -2.900. And we also need to remember that India is placed in a very tough team along with Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. And in order to qualify for the semi-finals, they need to finish at the top 2. Now they have 3 matches remaining, and they need to win at least 2 of them. The loss against New Zealand was quite unexpected. Apart from the loss, they lost by a huge margin as well, which destroyed their NRR.

Looks like India will start with a loss today. Chasing a target of 161, they are 91/8 after 17.1 overs. Lea Tahuhu ran through the Indian batting lineup with an amazing spell of 4-0-15-3. The highest score so far in the Indian innings is the 15 made by Harmanpreet Kaur. At the moment, Shreyanka Patil and Asha Sobhana are at the crease, but not much is expected from these tailenders. Moreover, they have less than 3 overs remaining. For India, the next match is against another strong team (vs Pakistan, on 6th October).

Nepal is one of the countries which are having all native players and now recently they are doing good job in white ball format just because of having more matches which helping them for having improvement in technique and increasing their experience which is important for the development of the game.
Even mostly Associate countries are having unpredictable results but still things are much better for few countries but in last few matches I am watching countries like the UAE and Oman are suffering which is huge setback for them because they are having adopted players which are having no consistency but still a long way to go for the players because we are having no solid policy from ICC about this and there is no person who can talk and bring changes which help this game, but recently we are having good development in African region which is good sign.
One of the reasons why I always support the Nepal team is due to the fact that they have a 100% native squad. But I am not sure whether they are doing good at the moment. They failed to qualify for the Asia Cup this time, and I am not sure whether they will be able to qualify for the 2026 T20I World Cup. At the moment, they are almost at the bottom of the points table in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 as well, as they have just won one out of the 8 matches played in this tournament till now.

Anyone interested in the second match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup? Pakistan Women seems to be in deep trouble, as they are struggling at 89/8 after 16 overs. Spinners have run through their batting order, with Chamari Athapaththu and Sugandika Kumari sharing 6 wickets between them. Even if Pakistan manages to reach 100, it is not going to be enough to win this match. The bad news for Pakistan is that they are placed in a tough group along with Australia, India and New Zealand.

The match between Oman and Canada will start in some time at the Maple Leaf North-West Ground. At the moment, Nepal is leading the points table with 4 points from 4 matches (they don't have anymore matches remaining). But it may change after this match. If Canada wins, they will go on top with 6 points. In case Oman wins, then Nepal will remain at the top, and depending on margin of the win, Oman may finish at second or third place. Overall, this tri-series was closely contested, with most of the matches being quite close.

Here is the biggest failure of the Irish team, as the first attacking batsmen of the Irish team get out easily. And wickets fell in full T20 style, despite a good performance in the second T20 to win. But the Ireland team did not perform well in the ODI match, in the current situation, if the South African team performs well in one match, they cannot perform well in the next match. In cases where the match remains uneven, usually the South African team has been caught up in this new year with such a performance. South African teams usually lack bowlers, so they need to be more experienced in both bowling and batting to compete with any team and win. Why blame the batsmen when their bowlers did a horrible job? They had South Africa in deep trouble. When Wiaan Mulder got out, Proteas were struggling at 212/7. Ideally the Irish bowlers could have bundled out the South Africans for 220-230. But the Irish bowlers lost the momentum, and in the end South Africa reached a total of 271/9. And in return, they lost Paul Stirling in the first order. By then the outcome of the match was never in doubt. They have two more matches remaining in this series. I hope that they will win at least one of them.

Anyone following the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier B? This tournament is part of the qualifier to 2025 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. Two more rounds of matches remain, but now it is clear that Japan will qualify to the next phase. Next round will be 2025 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia–East Asia-Pacific Regional Final. Japan will be joined by 8 other teams (including Samoa from East Asia-Pacific), and out of these teams the top 3 will qualify for the 2026 T20I World Cup (to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka).

Rohit was so confident in his bowlers that he told his teammates that if we could bowl them 80 overs, we could bowl them out twice. Bangladesh played 121 overs in both innings, scoring 379 runs in two. Imagine how poor their batting lineup is that the opponent team has this confidence that we can bowl them out within 80 overs.
I saw a photo card somewhere on social media or in this forum. This proves how weak their batting lineup is, and the opponent did not even have to change their plan. Now we are looking forward to the T20I matches, and the result is almost obvious already. We are going to get whitewash there.
At this point Bangladesh doesn't have quality batsmen who can survive and thrive against the lethal bowling combination of Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. India had the home advantage as well. Even then, the performance of the Bangladeshi batsmen were below what was expected from them. And the less talked about their bowling, that better. India got to 100 in less than 10 overs, as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma were simply smashing the bowlers all over the park.

They all act based on their views, benefits and ratings. All American politicians are usually taught this when they are still studying in Washington. Trump is not just a politician, he is a talented trader who knows what it is to be broke, and at the same time was on top. I admit that this is why I respect him. So, he really seems to have closed his eyes to this issue a little. Apparently, he thinks that it is better to do it this way now.
Trump is not a career politician. He is more like an accidental politician. As a result, he doesn't come up with elaborate plans to fool the people who voted for him (similar to what Kamala Harris does). Rather, he undertakes realistic steps to improve the state of economy. During his term (2016-2020), the American economy made a remarkable recovery, and unemployment rates were at all time low. But then the COVID pandemic struck and all of this good work was forgotten by the voters.

That was disappointing performance by Oman in tri-series getting bowled out for just 101 runs while chasing 157. Nepal bowlers particularly Kushal Bhurtel with his three wicket deserves credit for their impressive display. While Nepal's win boosts their chances Canada home advantage still makes them favorites to win series. Oman upcoming match against Canada looks daunting and it is likely they will struggle again. Canada familiarity with conditions will likely give them the upper hand.
Nice to see Nepal finishing this tournament on a high note. They won two out of the total of 4 matches. The credit goes to captain Rohit Paudel, who scored 56 from 44 balls and stood like a one-man army. The target was too much for the Omanis (the term itself is a misnomer, since the team doesn't have any Omani citizens). Sandeep Lamichhane was almost unplayable, and returned figures of 4-0-12-2. He got good support from Kushal Bhurtel, who cleaned up the tail with three wickets.

Bangladesh women's team beat Scotland women's team by 16 runs in the first match of ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Bangladesh women's team batting first against Scotland women's team managed to score 119 runs on the scoreboard, in response Scotland women's team managed to score only 103 runs in twenty overs. Scotland is a relatively weaker team than Bangladesh so Bangladesh should have scored more in the first innings. Bangladesh women's team is in the group but there are strong teams like South Africa, England and West Indies, so if Bangladesh is not able to show good performance against those teams, then Bangladesh women's team will definitely be defeated.
Sad to see Scotland lose. It would have been a slap in the face of the ICC if they had won. Without any concrete logic, they reduced the number of participants to just 10 teams (and that too without any meaningful qualifier tournament). And this meant that meritorious teams such as Thailand, Netherlands and Nepal had virtually zero chance to qualify for the tournament. That said, Scotland should have won today's match. It was a golden opportunity for them, after they managed to reduce Bangladesh to just 119/7 in 20 overs.

✂✂✂✂ Are illegal aliens not allowed to vote? I reckon Trump can make one more promise to increase his ratings. He can promise to give all those illegal aliens that have entered America's borders from 2020 to 2024 their citizenship if he is the winner on November hehehehe.
Trump is not lunatic enough to do that. And actually it is one of the policies from Kamala and her team to bring as many illegals as possible to the United States and make them citizens in the long term. In the short term, there is a real possibility of these illegals being used for voter fraud operations masterminded by the Dems. One thing that you should remember is that most of the illegals are being herded into crucial swing states, such as Arizona, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan.

Ireland defeated South Africa in the second match of the T20I series. Ireland performed well in the T20 series, managing to set a big enough target. T20 and ODI formats are not the same, you have to bat patiently in ODI matches. Many of us thought Ireland would perform well in the ODI series after seeing Ireland's excellent performance in the T20 series. But South Africa team is strong in ODI format, their batsmen have managed to bat well with patience. Where Ireland's batsmen could not bat well with patience. No Irish batsman could score more than 21 runs. Ireland defeated South Africa in T20 series but it is very difficult for them to defeat South Africa in ODI series. South Africa won the first match to take a 1-0 lead. I think Ireland will be whitewashed in the ODI series.
The team balance is simply not there with the Irish team. Some of their players (especially the Adair brothers and Craig Young) are performing really well, while some others are not living up to the expectations. As a result, the performance of the team overall has been volatile. Given the fact that South Africa is without many of their regular players, it was expected from Ireland to give a few upset wins. The results from the 4 matches so far has been pretty mixed. But overall, not too many positives for Ireland.

In today's 1st ODI match of Ireland vs South Africa team South Africa team scored 271 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs. South Africa team batsman Andrew Balbirnie was dismissed for 20 runs from 28 balls. Paul Stirling was dismissed for 2 runs from 2 balls. Curtis Campher was dismissed for 20 runs from 36 balls. Run out. Team Ireland now comes out to bat. 87 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20.2 overs. Batsmen of the Ireland team are under a lot of pressure with the loss of 6 wickets for which the chances of the Ireland team to win this match are very low.
Ireland is just looking hopeless. Now they are 113/8, chasing target of 272. So far, the top-score is 21 made by George Dockrell. Lizaad Williams took 3 wickets so far. If Ireland batsmen can't score runs against fringe bowlers in the South African squad, then I don't know how they are going to play against the big-3 teams. In the top order, Andy Balbirnie and Paul Stirling looks horribly out of form. A lot was expected from Harry Tector, but turns out that he is good for nothing. And Lorcan Tucker is absent for this tour.

Early on today, we had the disappointment from Namibia. Now the same is happening with Nepal. In the match against Oman, they are struggling at 55/2 after 7 overs. The two openers - Aasif Sheikh and Anil Sah are back in the pavilion. Now it is left to Dev Khanal and Kushal Malla to stabilize the innings. Remember that Nepal has won just one match out of the three they played so far. If Oman wins today, then they will finish ahead of Nepal. The Nepalis fielded a full-strength side this time. I don't know what went wrong with them.
