Block is the worst ICO?

Do you guys think we have reached our final floor (price wise)?. Up trend from here onwards ??

No way to know.

I invested in the Maidsafe IPO (a lot of money actually... 100 BTC). And it immediately dropped 50% after the IPO finished (mainly because some people could buy the Maidsafe Safe coins for much cheaper). I posted three messages to the Maidsafe team about this and then just forgot about it.

6 months later the price has been steadily rising as more tech is slowly being unveiled. And I believe I am now 50% in profit. Maybe even 60% when I factor in my discount.

Moral of the story is to not worry about the price in these IPO's. If you believe the team will deliver the tech, the price will rise sooner or later.

Hard to say on the floor. But I definately dropped my entire Blocknet investment a few days ago as things started to slip. I intend to buy back in. All I can say is I am glad I dropped early, because price is already 30% less then the ITO price. Like a free 30% discount for me. Unfair to everyone else, but the whole ITO thing was not really a real ITO, because people able to hold shares before the end of the offering.

All I want to say is thank you to Dan Metcalf for making his public statement about all this FUD being generated: http://www.atcsecure.com/blog/Official_Statement.pdf

This is a classic example of FUDsters generating as many remarks based on out-of-context information that really have nothing to do with the subject at hand.

I am really encouraged by how synechist and others have continued to keep a calm, cool head when dealing with this as well.

Once, the ITO ends on Nov 4th, I believe we are in for some exciting stuff, as once that happens, the price will be controlled 100% by investors that hold BLOCK, with the remaining portion burned. This will allow for only the true investors and NOT FUDsters to have more weight on the market and outcome of this project as a whole.

Congrats to the community of Blocknet coins as well as the Blocknet team. Thank you for your hard work and cool heads in dealing with this situation.

I personally would not want the dev team to be wasting their time making a better BlockNet wallet. As others have said, BLOCKS are just representative of a stake in the total BlockNet assets. I would rather have them spend time focusing on the XBridge which is how BlockNet tokens are actually going to be useful.

Great stuff. Really impressed with the BlockNet project.
Time will tell with this project. If the developments of XC reflects on this project, then I think there is a good chance of success.
I bought some BlockNet tokens last night to help round out my portfolio a bit.
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitcoinBountyHunter.com Bitcoin Bounties to catch the crooks! on: September 17, 2014, 05:32:57 PM
Great idea. Way to get the ball moving.
I think this could be successful in time.
Maybe eventually it could incorporate a timeline of updates and details to each bounty, so users could track the potential progress being made. This way it won't look so static, like nothing is happening or being done.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Wolf's XMR/BCN/MNT CPUMiner - 2x speed compared to LucasJones' - NEW 06/20/2014 on: September 11, 2014, 05:53:07 PM
BTW very good work but please clean up the OP!

I'll second that. Which is the latest version for Win 64 with AES-NI? cpuminer-multi-wolf-06-12-2014?

That 06-12-2014 version is for withOUT AES-NI.
The newest Windows 64 binary WITH AES-NI is 06-09-2014 I believe.
That one is the fastest for me.

Hey FireCoin community.

Just wanted to let you know, I have been somewhat absence the last week or so, due to being busy migrating servers and such for my personal company, etc.

I will hopefully have some good news for FireCoin in the coming weeks.

Glad to see the community is still growing bigger and bigger each day.  Grin

Yes it has been quiet around here lately. To be fair, the current project we are working on for GDN requires quite a bit more approval from banks as well as much more security, so it has been hard to come in here and tell you we have this or that done, but rest assured we will have a big announcement sooner then later.

Also, personally, I have been somewhat absence the last week due to consilidating and migrating several servers, for a personal project that I am pursuing. This project is called Bust A Block. It is a next-level block explorer and analyzer. The first cryptocoin I plan on introducing Bust A Block with is Global Denomination (GDN).

Below is a little logo (big thanks to GD for help with the logo)

Good work on the unique hashing algorithm for DeepCoin.
I am very interested in this coin.
Is the upcoming hardfork to move to the new hashing algo then? Is the current GPU miner listed going to work after the fork? What should I use to start mining this coin?

GDN supernode was moved to a new server today.

If you are using the node.globaldenomination.org you will be fine as we have updated the DNS for this already, but if you were using the old IP address (63.141.245.10) instead of the domain, you will want to be sure to change that in your GlobalDenomination.conf

The new details of the GDN supernode are below:

GDN Supernode IP: 192.151.148.178
GDN Supernode Domain: node.globaldenomination.com

Adding this as a node in your GlobalDenomination.conf file is very easy and should look like the line below:

Code:
addnode=node.globaldenomination.com

By adding this node to your configuration file, you will be ensuring you connect to this node as a peer every time you start your wallet. Since this node is designed to handle 500+ simultaneous connections you will be able to acquire more connections and blocks faster when syncing with the network.

Just wanted to remind folks that we have a IRC channel setup on Freenode.
I hang out in here quite a bit, but there are not many other idlers in there.
You can check it out using the link below:

https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net?channel=#globaldenomination

Additionally, by opening up the Social/Trollbox tab on the GDN wallet it will also take you to the #globaldenomination IRC channel.

*EDIT* Also a great place to chat about GDN is over on the http://cryptoconnecta.com chat.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FIRE] FireCoin + 97K + Fire Foundation + Weekly contest .1 BTC Prize on: August 14, 2014, 01:42:00 PM
I think getting FIRE added to a market-place such as www.Crypto-Auctions.com would be great.
We need to start somewhere and I agree, there is no need to make a FIRE only marketplace, as that would probably have an even harder time taking off.
I can't make any promises but I have a few steam gifts and such I believe I could sell on there in exchange for FIRE coins.
If there are any others with some things they could sell that would be great way to help advertise and support FireCoin.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient Proof of HDD Capacity Mining | No IPO, No Pre on: August 11, 2014, 04:03:19 PM
Is the source code available on GitHub, or just included in the wallet download?

Tried the faucet again and didn't get anything. Got the email, clicked the link and the site said it was confirmed etc but haven't got anything.

What block is Firecoin at? My wallet says 8373. Is this the official block explorer? Cause it says 8166 but it also seems "stuck".

Sorry if your referring to the CryptocoinTools faucet, I had to take the server down recently. I am in the works of swapping this out and re-installing Firecoind again. I will let you guys know as soon as I get that all back up agian.

Looks like a decent amount of action/volume at Bittrex and Poloniex on Sunday.
Bittrex looks like it had more overall volume.

Community! We need voting wave on mintpal, i made about 60 votes last 7 days.I saw very little amount of votes, that others gave to GDN.
Lets Get it higher than 200 place! We need just 45 votes! It is just 5 votes from 9 people! Go go go!

Great idea!
I will start voting right now!

decent looking coin. Bought some. can't wait for what the future holds for this one. Keep up the good work

Yessir, you picked a great time to buy. lucky you :p

GDN has a very stable and active history thus far. We are always available on the chat rooms on CryptoConnecta.com (our sister-project) and we have no intention of stopping or slowing down in the future.
