Nah, wasn't really bar getting me down, though I must admit I wasn't looking forward to dealing with the mess that I expected trolls to have created by the time I was able to return.
FWIW I don't have troll minions. There's enough trolls already. Seriously, with guys like Barrabbas in the thread, why would I need them?
Anyway, I know I haven't been very active in the thread over this weekend like I said I was going to be, there honestly hasn't been much going on, so I've been working on some things behind the scenes so that everyone here actually has something to talk about. Any thoughts and ideas are welcome, as always. Feel free to post here in the thread or PM me.
In the meantime, someone mentioned a logo contest sometime back and I was wondering what the community could come up with, so lets have some fun with that.

SeedCoin Logo Contest
10,000 SEED Contest Prize
I will pick my 5 favorite submissions next week at 11:59 PM on Sunday November 2nd. The community will then have a week to vote between those 5 submissions and the current logo. People can submit any number of logos, but I will only pick a maximum of one per entrant for the vote.
Whoever's logo wins the vote at the end of the voting deadline will have their logo adopted as the new SEED logo and they will receive the 10,000 SEED prize.
If the current coin logo receives the most votes, then the 10,000 SEED will be divided evenly among the creators of the 5 other designs that were selected to be voted on, regardless of how many votes they received.

I'm excited the dev posted! Awesome! I'm still staking and chilling out. I'm not a programmer but have some presence on Twitter and will happily share any milestones and advances made with SEED. Please do put up a moderated thread. No one here will cry about it except those that are causing the harm. Cheers!

We can't end this thread on a negative! I have a bunch of SEED and no, it's not worth as much as I invested into it. Therefore, I will hold this bag of SEED, pun intended, and wait and see what happens. From a marketing perspective it's a good name and has high branding potential. Maybe it'll start getting used somewhere and add to the value. We'll see.d.

I realized way too late that I didn't understand how this service works. I will never, ever see a return on my investment. I paid almost 1.4 BTC for 1TH/s on September 4th. It is now October 14th and I have barely made 0.4 BTC back. It's my own fault, I didn't realize that when the round is over my hash goes away. I thought it would be transferred or added in to the new round. I'm very disappointed.
Is this true? When the round is over your hash goes away?! It appears to be true from my interpretation of the information on the website. |

I delayed posting this because it was late, I was tired and thought I'd better look at it again in the morning. Nothing has changed and my direct question was conveniently dodged because he knows it reduces his credibility even further by not having any "skin in the game" as someone else put it.
An note to Barabbas:
You know how you get used to dull aches and pains after awhile or how an irritating sound somehow drifts to the background noise in your mind eventually? I wish that would happen here, but it won't. I come to the thread looking for useful information and to see questions and answers I hadn't thought of. I come here to listen to the dev talk so I can see how active they are with the coin and if they've got any neat, new ideas for it.
Yet I have to wade through a metric ton of bullshit spam and dead-horse beating posts from the same lame, broken-records that insist on spewing their tainted gospel of half-baked logic and worthless conspiracy theories over and over and over and over again. Enough already, enough. You are helping NO ONE. But that's not your point is it? It's apparent your point is attention mongering and button-pushing. You know what that makes you by definition? A Troll. That is not an insult, that is simply, exactly what you are. A spam-loving Troll. I really hate that you have so compelled me to even acknowledge you but at this point I feel like you're harming the future of this coin, however long or short it may be and that affects me directly.
How about this, do you own any SEED coin? If not, why are you here commenting on this thread? If so, why? You are obviously not happy with it, sell out, burn out, whatever, just GTFO. For the sake of humanity, GTFO.
On a side note, have you thought about offering your services as a business? You seriously add dozens of pages to a coin's ANN thread and some people use page-count as a representation of a coin's "community". Especially if they don't take the time to really drill down and see that 95% of your posts are meaningless. You could have something there though.

The former includes our top dog which is at 1 day and 10 minutes at the time of this posting...
It was my understanding that once your coin matures it will be at least 24 hours until stake payout. Once you hit a payout it will be at least another 24 hours until you get another payout. As the network gains weight stake payout can take longer. Thank you. It's already (partially) paid to our top dog... weird that the dev said it was going to be 24 hour periods and NOT 1440 blocks but then again, what does he know, really? Barabbas, a personal question I'm aware, but since you're a proponent of honesty I figured you wouldn't mind answering: Do you hold any SEEDcoin of your own? that's double the current price. You ask for 0.003 each while the price is 0.0015 try to buy 500 seed right now and see what u end up paying  That's how you would put in an offer for 500 at that price. Now you'd have to wait for someone to sell to you, and hope people don't leap-frog your price. Either stop trolling or go trade for 5 minutes to learn a thing or two about how the exchanges work.  Buying 500 right now off bittrex would land your average cost above 0.003 per, which means his deal is clearly better if you wanted to buy 500 right now, without waiting/hoping for orders to fill. If you don't want to actually run the numbers, just look at the "SUM (BTC)" column on the sell side, and look how deep you'd be buying on price with 1.5 BTC depth. Nearly half of the 500 would come from 0.005 prices. I'm surprised that some people still don't understand this. |
