1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Does The CryptoWorld Needs Now? on: May 18, 2015, 11:30:02 AM
It needs to be used by more people,it needs to be trendy, easy and everywhere
I think that easy and trendy are the key, every day are appearing easier ways

I couldn't agree with you more.
And in order for that to happen education is of high importance.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I managed to boost the Bitcoin economy at zero cost on: May 18, 2015, 11:27:52 AM
For those of us who are not great spenders and are not into the latest gadget it is sometimes difficult to spend our stash of bitcoins. Well, now I have found a way.

I have cancelled my 9 year running subscription to a non-profit for 180 euros per year. I will need some self-discipline to keep my donations going, but for sure they will be only in bitcoins.

Erm....
What?
I didn't get it....
3  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cheap Smartphones and android phones for bitcoin? on: May 11, 2015, 09:09:39 AM
are those second hand smart phone, or they are new? and where it will be located?, the problem with goods from usa is that for us european there are trouble with the customs

They are new.
They are just 1:1 clones of the originals.
Yeah, the Chinese are good at this  Wink

How long will these last? My friend got one of those fake Samsung S3 (or something like that, the costly one) and the touchscreen broke in a few days and it stopped receiving calls a few days after that.

Hmm, that depends, mostly on your luck.
I got 2 Samsung Note 3 clones, one for me one for my sister.
My sister dropped hers and broke the screen, the phone still works just fine though, even though the screen is cracked.
I was careful with mine yet my screen got fucked, it wouldn't work properly.

So like I said, it's a matter of luck.
The Chinese make good clones, it's just that some of them might come out faulty.
That goes with everything though.
My Mercedes came out to be faulty from the factory and it's not Chinese.

There's a simple difference: warranty. Does these clones come with a year's warranty?

Yeap, but you have to send it back to the manufacturer on your expense, and wait for it to come back.
You are better off just getting a new clone  Wink

Here we only have to give it to the nearby service center and they usually fix it in 4-5 days. I did it for my camera and I assume the same procedure holds for everything else.

As far as clone goes, it then depends what is the cost rartio with the original. If it is some 20-30% then it is tempting.

It's more than that.
I got the Note 3 clone when the Note 3 just came out.
It was selling in my country for €650.
I got the clone for $150  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Do however keep in mind that it is not the same performance.
The clone has lower performance.
It didn't really bother me though as it was still good enough.

At those prices it is worth taking one and trying out for sure. If it looks the same it may help impress the friends by having the latest overpriced model Grin

It is exactly the same, package, looks, everything, it even has the branding on the battery too.
Hell, it even comes with the manual.
But the only difference is the performance like I said.
Less ram, slower cpu. But still good enough.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ONE Minute Blocks! Bitcoin as fast as Dogecoin, faster than Litecoin? VOTE on: May 11, 2015, 06:36:14 AM
On reddit, Gavin has responded favorably to cedivad's proposal that the Bitcoin's 10 minute block interval be reduced to 1 minute.
If it is done at the next block reward halving the block reward would drop from 25 BTC to 1.25 BTC in order to maintain the 21 million BTC limit.

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/35hpkt/please_remind_me_once_again_why_we_cant_decrease/cr4wk0g

Quote
I think 1-minute blocks is a good idea. The best time to roll that out would be the next subsidy halving (makes the code much simpler).
We still need a bigger max block size, though.

Just in case his reddit account was used while his back was turned, here is a poll. Vote away!

As people comment in this thread I will update the PROS and CONS list....

PROS

Dogecoin has 1 minute blocks, Litecoin 2.5 minute blocks, and their users think this is a user-friendly advantage for these coins.
The 1MB max block increase can be delayed a few more years as the network will theoretically be capable of 30tps instead of the existing 3tps throughput.

CONS

Increase in block orphan risk for miners.

Hmm, OK.
Just one question.
Considering that, now with the difficulty rising, and a lot of times we see longer periods than 10 minutes per block,
Do you think that 1 minute blocks are feasible?

9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upping the stakes: what if BTC gets to $5000? on: May 11, 2015, 06:23:36 AM
we wuld for sure get rid of many weak hand at 1000 or many holder, so at 5k only true believer will remain, anyway i'm planning to sell only if i need the money, no matter the price

i love too much my bitcoin, i see them not only as a coin anymore

I am not sure if I want to know the answer to that, but I will go ahead and ask anyway.
How else do you see your coins?
10  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: FREEEEEEEE Account on: May 11, 2015, 06:20:16 AM
Can i have 1 of your spare account pls? Smiley

Why?
What are you going to do with it?
It is probably with red trust anyway?

Why don't you just create a new on, or even better just buy a Sr. member account.

Shindo1988

I cannot disagree with you there.  I am well aware of the Seven Deadly Sins.  Not very long ago I had to face them, one-by-one.

Truth be known, I have no need for MOAR.  I just like getting interesting views.  I also like sniffing out people's logic in getting to $1000 or even $5000.  Hey, I have no idea.

$5000 @ would be nice though.

*   *   *

That would be enough to consider giving very careful thought to properly giving something away.  Charitable giving is a big & complicated subject.  Many gifts wind up causing more damage than good.

-- Building a small wing of a hospital in rural Peru?

-- Funding Geology Scholarships at Peruvian universities?

(I use the above two examples form Peru because A LOT more can be done down there than up here)

I am guessing "up here" means the U.S. right?
If that's is the case then I doubt much can be done up there, no matter how much money you have - That government  Roll Eyes
In Peru - though I can't say I have much knowledge of - you can probably make wonders.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No BTC dreams in Liberland - president arrested by Croatia on: May 11, 2015, 05:58:21 AM
This sounds like the Waco siege in America -->  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waco_siege

Only difference being that it's not the government stopping people for their religious believe, but for their political believe. {And there were no shootings between the two parties}

Liberland is a "Pipe dream" ... No country will wilingly release ground within their borders for people to become totally independant from the state.

Better luck next time...  Wink .... or get a island.

Islands usually fall within the jurisdiction of a country.
So what you just said applies to islands too.

Nice research, Bruno. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Are you the big bad troll on the block?

Yeah, Bruno has a way of exposing situations.
He has this gift of bringing things to the surface.
I would never want to be on his scope, though I have never done anything wrong  Roll Eyes

Did you know that Shidno1988 once...  Shocked

Amazingly, Darren Green, Curtis' brother, hasn't been online since the Great Exposure. No wonder he was stickin' it up my ass so heavily, with Leroy Fodor joining the choir negating my findings as he, too, is currently in the process of fleecin' others in spite of my best efforts exposing his ass with his myriad lies spannin' several years, all document thanks, again, to my efforts.

Dunno him. Friend of yours?

LOL.
He is talking about me  Wink

They are probably trying to find ways to make evidence disappear.
The thing is, most of the evidence are probably in the FBI's hands.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WSJ: NASDAQ to use Blockchain Technology on: May 11, 2015, 05:50:41 AM
So, have they accepted the fact that relying on fiat isn't that viable for any longer? Apparently, they are seeing that crypto-related technology would be the future of finance and economics. This is big once they started using it.

At some point all good things come to an end. Even the smart dumb people in the room know this.

FTFY  Wink
Now, we know they are using the Bitcoin blockchain to get their job done.
The questions is: Will they be using Bitcoins?
16  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cheap Smartphones and android phones for bitcoin? on: May 11, 2015, 05:46:59 AM
Yep

Did some research on them, coinsfortech.com
They use this script for their shop
https://coigg.com/product/bitcoin-online-shop-script/ Its being sold for 19USD
My guy feeling tells me its the same owner
They scammed me, they sell a script their claiming its V6 but after i bought it and downloaded it, it turned out to be and outdated version, i never got a reply from their "support team" apparently  they Scam
Read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1010918.0

They are also over priced.. I meant a Legit cheap bit-coin electronics store

I don't think you need any special scripts to do this.
Just create a large amount of addresses and assign one address to each order.
You can check if the payment was done through the blockchain API.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upping the stakes: what if BTC gets to $5000? on: May 11, 2015, 05:42:27 AM
...

OK the general gist I read in the $1000 thread was that many (but there was big diversity of actions many would take) would cash-out most of their BTC were it to read $1000.  Maybe re-buy on bounces, etc.

$1000 seems a modest long-term price to me.  I'm not a seller at a measly $1000.

So, what will you do (if you have any left after selling at $1000, $2000, etc.) with any that get to $5000?

I'll sell some along the way to buy gold, most I will HODL!

Greed is not a good thing.
I have seen people lose their houses in the stock market because they wanted more.
Greed is one of the seven deadly sins.
And there is a reason that it's deadly  Wink
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Official topic for block size and transaction rate on: May 11, 2015, 05:39:49 AM
What makes this thread the "official" one instead of any of the others?

Because he said so  Tongue

Seriously as if we don't have enough block size threads.
And what's the big deal anyway?
I am sure it was going to happen at some point anyway.
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No BTC dreams in Liberland - president arrested by Croatia on: May 11, 2015, 05:35:18 AM
Taken from Fox news website: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/05/10/liberland-president-arrested-by-croatia-for-trespassing-in-no-man-land/?intcmp=latestnews

Vít Jedlička, a Czech politician who declared himself president of a tiny nation established on what he claims is a 2.7-square-mile "no man's land" along the Danube River, was arrested Saturday by Croatian authorities who said he and his self-styled fellow founding fathers of Liberland are trespassing.

Croatian authorities could not be reached for comment to confirm the arrest of Vít Jedlička, a libertarian politician from the Czech Republic. A group calling itself the Liberland Press Association, which has spoken in the past for Jedlička, made the announcement in a statement emailed to FoxNews.com.

“The president of the self-proclaimed micro-nation of the Free Republic of Liberland, Vít Jedlička, has been arrested by Croatian police for illegally trespassing an international border,” read the statement. “The arrest may have taken place on no man’s land territory. This would raise issues on the Croatian-Serbian border and could start a new crisis in the Balkans.”

On May 2, Jedlička and the rest of his cabinet declared Liberation Day for Liberland, inviting new citizens to gather in nearby Serbia to enter the purported "micro-nation" by boat via the Danube. The circumstances of Jedlička’s arrest or where he may be being held were unclear.

Jedlička’s supporters added that the arrest was unjustified and possibly illegal, saying he never actually crossed the Croatian border into the disputed territory.

They also maintain that neither Croatia nor Serbia claimed the land to be within their borders following the 2003 dissolution of Yugoslavia.

Officials from Croatia have maintained that they do not take the claims of the new nation seriously.

“The Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs does not consider claims about so-called ‘Liberland’ as in any way credible,” officials for the Croatian Embassy in Washington D.C. said in a previous statement to FoxNews.com. “Rather, it sees them as what they are – virtual witticism, and for those, we have no further comments to make.”

Embassy officials did not immediately return requests for comment regarding confirmation of the arrest.

Jedlička originally formed Liberland in April, saying he was frustrated by high taxes and intrusive government in his own nation. He claims to have researched unclaimed land and found an unspoken-for sliver where he maintains international law allowed him to stake a claim.

More than 300,000 people from around the world have applied for citizenship in Liberland, according to Jedlička. They have been approved, even though most will never live in -- or never set foot in -- Liberland.

“We believe we can set up the last state on the planet,” Jedlička told FoxNews.com in April. “We are taking the best parts of the American Revolution and the U.S. Constitution and applying it here.”

... and everyone scalded me for saying Vit just made himself a target.

OK, here is what I don't understand.
Both Croatia and Czech Republic are members of the EU.
And if I am not mistaken Vit is still a Czech citizen.
Therefor there was no illegal trespassing.
So why the arrest for illegal trespassing?

Does this work on Bluestacks?
Has anyone tried it?
I see it was mentioned before but I don't see any posts that confirm that.
