Difficulty up to 32MM and blocks are still moving at a nice pace. Good to see!

I don't see any connection between what has already happened at Cryptsy and Jim talking about news coming.

I agree.  But I've heard some people say the launch on the new exchange and the big news might be delayed cause of this cryptsy thing but I don't see why that would happen since these lost coins will take a long time to come to auction and they were known to be lost already.

The big news is the new exchange that is coming, but there's always more news to come.  :-)
I've been working on a new project and I'm hoping to make UNB part of it, using UNB as a payment product. (No it's not Voxels or Voxelus). If I decide to implement UNB, I think it will give us a ton of exposure. The platform is a few weeks from being released.

Great to hear Jim!

If you haven't been following along this past year, you should be aware that Naut cannot be mined at this point. It was moved to NXT and is on the nxt monetary system.

Swap to a functional blockchain is long overdue for NAUT... Is there any progress on this?

it swapped to a token on the nxt monetary system last year

Is NAUT going to remain as a token on the NXT MS?

dunno

Best pool and program for Nvidia card ( gtx 970 ) for mining ?

Thanks Smiley .

Anyone ?  Huh .
This coin is a nxt token now, no more mining since last year  Wink

So the NAUT paper wallet I made a long time ago no longer works?

no sorry

The dev of this coin really voided my coins?

What's the difference between a government or bank stealing my coins and a blockchain stealing my coins?

A blockchain is a protocol, and if permission-less (like naut) there is no comparison to a government or a bank. You the owner of your coins chose how to store them and also chose not to follow updates on the coin. There was a lengthy coin swap period. Sorry you missed out but there was a long period to swap.

you need a nxt wallet, not the wallet in the ann

Hi guys. I have a problem:

I was trying to withdraw NAUT from an exchange. Some problems happened and someone told me it's better to withdraw my NAUT to an nxt wallet, and then transfer it to the target address. I created an nxt wallet in: https://wallet.mynxt.info and transferred my NAUT there. But now I can not find any option to send my NAUT from this wallet to the destination address.

Here's a screenshot:

As you can see I have received the currency which is being shown as 0 nxt - transferred currency. The only send option is the "send nxt" button, which brings up a window that only sends nxt and doesn't show my NAUT.

What should I do now? Sad

I believe the way that online wallet works is that you need to add this plugin: NXT Monetary, it costs 50 nxt.

Has anyone checked out Bitsquare? It is a decentralized exchange. It's only in alpha now and I have not downloaded it to actually try it yet, but this is something I plan to keep tabs on and in theory could benefit uno too.

I have a proposal for any and all:

On Dec 31, News years Eve, I will send you 100K XSEED (current block chain coins) and you send me 100K XCR.

You have to accept within 48 hrs.

Nobody took me up on this offer.  If you have real faith in this coin, you will.  If you know it is going to the bottom faster than a rock thrown in the ocean, you will be selling your XSEEDS as soon as possible.

$69 volume last 24 hours...Is this your strategy to generate volume for your coin... Back to the drawing board guy.

Should be pretty clear no one is interested in buying your coin.

I'd love to verify this, but I swear there were times that massive hashing power was pointed towards mining on behalf of other wallets on the bitops - like they were gifting Bitseeds or something.  I was refreshing the page periodically during the early mining stages when I was mining on Bitops and I saw some weird jumps in hashing power that didn't make sense. Wish I'd taken screen shots.

I observed this as well.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Unlocked Thread!][ANN][BITS] BitSeeds - A Currency that Grows! on: April 28, 2015, 03:44:29 AM
The mission of BitSeeds and the BitSeeds Foundation is to assist the Rainforest Foundation in their funding efforts.  The coin was launched in a manner to allow for public participation in the mining process.  A programmatic fix for the issues the blockchain now faces would take an unknown amount of time as the damage is truly unprecedented.  We invite the public to download the blockchain and see it for themselves.

For every moment the blockchain isn't moving, the BitSeeds Foundation cannot carry out its mission.  We feel very strongly that a solution must be created that not only gets the network operational in a short a time as possible, but is also fair and transparent to the community who has invested in the coin.  We do not want to duplicate the problems that were experienced in the first 7 days of the network.

Towards that end, we would appreciate community feedback on the following solution.

We intend to create a new blockchain with the exact same number of coins that had been generated on the network as of block 76300.  We are going to use the same blockchain parameters so old keys will still work.  Coins will be sent to the exact same addresses on the new blockchain as currently exist on the old blockchain.

Consider it an effective hard fork.

While proof-of-work mining was originally desirable, the nature of the cryptocurrency space no longer affords an energy efficient manner of proof-of-work mining that is also secure enough for long term use.  The space has simply evolved that quickly and that is a reality we must face.  There is the possibility of a multipool in the future to allow miners to still participate distribution.

We are truly sorry such an unfortunate set of events occurred that created the position in which we now find ourselves.  It is truly unprecedented in this space and the original blockchain will exist as a permanent testament to that fact.  We will be happy to provide it to anyone in the future for their own research.

BitSeeds was created to cause a disruption.  It already worked and we are just getting started.

Thank you for your patience and we welcome your feedback.

As long as all coin ownership is identical and does not change I support this. On the other hand if a single coin is somehow lost in this process you will effectively have compromised the blockchain in a far worse manner than has already occurred.

Litoshi,

The foundation page lists your name, has a link to your LinkedIn profile and has a a link to your Litoshi account here. On the foundation page you claim to be a "FINANCIAL ADVISOR."

While there are many different types of financial advisers they all hold one thing in common, they are licensed. The most common licenses tie back to FINRA, however a Finra Broker Check turns up no results for your name. Which license do you carry that allows you to call yourself a Financial Adviser? Do you hold any or is that a fictitious title?

Enough with the distraction, back to Bitseeds.

solid12345,

If you are interested in a REAL POS coin, come check out XCR, Crypti.

We had our IPO in July.  We are in development of a DAPP system on Custom block chains. SOmething that the big boys at Etherium cant get straight.  We are nearly ready to launch the CBCs.

RIght now we run a DPOS system,  That is a Delegated POS.  For the astronomical sum of 100 XCR you can register as a delegate and enable forging int he block chain.  XCR costs about 1000 sats each on Poloniex right now.  YOU DONT NEED ANY OTHER XCR IN ORDER TO FORGE.  NO MINIMUM BALANCE IS REQUIRED.

What you do need is votes from the community.  1 vote per XCR.  Each node can vote for 101 delegates, with each getting 1 vote for each of the nodes XCR coins.  So a 10,000 XCR balance in a node/wallet has 10,000 votes times 101 delegates.

Right now, things are kind of slow for the transactions, as we have not launched our DAPPs yet, but they are coming soon.  The price of XCR will likely hit 30K sats, as XCR will be a required part of using the DAPP network.

At least you finally came out and just stated what your purpose is here after all the BS you have posted in the Bitseeds thread. You are just here to throw around accusations (that you have failed miserably at proving) and shill your (sh*t)coin. You are inherently, completely and totally biased as a foundation member of that other coin, as your posts clearly prove. Unfortunately what I have learned from your attitude is that there must be a lot wrong with Crypti to take you in as a board member.

The TLDR on your posting is, "I don't like your way of doing it. You are scamming. My coin is better. Come buy my coins," spammed over a dozen posts.

Edit: For a coin that has been out for so long you have a blockchain that has 30% of the coin held in the top 2 wallets, a top 10 that holds 61% of the coin and if we extend out to the top 20 then 74% is accounted for.  Seems "fair" and "well distributed."

It's enough already, you aren't actually making a positive contribution. You're just shilling another coin and hijacking another coins thread.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: December 06, 2014, 05:10:23 AM
this forum is irrelevant and abandoned , not NAUT. This forum is irrelevant and abandoned because no one has anything useful to say here. Clearly all of you "investors" with a few bitcoins in NAUT just want a quick 10x or 100x pump so you can cash out and dump, what great "investors" and "financial geniuses" some of you are!

I don't blame BK and jyap for staying away from this place, most people do now.

If you have anything to offer NAUT in the way of development please speak up and contact the developers with your work. Otherwise your childish talk is hurting you more than any delay in POS. The real investors who haven't even heard of NAUT yet won't care if it took 2 months or 2 years when they are putting real money into the finished, correctly working, product.

tl;dr you hurt yourselves everytime you post something useless here.

Pretty much nailed it. This forum repeatedly embarrasses itself & is really not the target audience of any serious blockchain endeavor.

Hard to see how your opinion here is useful given your history. Glass houses and all.

A real decentralized network is one which would be pretty hard to shut down.

Anyone who buys this coin is throwing btc away.

Nice contribution:

[ANN] Cinnamon Coin 1.4.1 (CIN) No PreMine (POW )& POS TRADE ON COINS-E
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=299221.0

no proof of work at this time , i am coding a new client that will be released in the near future , the network is running now only on proof of stake ---

it will be posted when ready --

NOTE -- CINNAMON COIN MAY BE DEAD,

I DON'T HAVE THE TIME , MOTIVATION AND LACK SOME OF THE NECESSARY C++ SKILL TO PROPERLY FIX THE CLIENT

THERE IS NO GENUINE INTEREST FROM THE COMMUNITY OR ANYONE ELSE IN THE COIN

I SHUT THE MAIN NODES OF THE NETWORK DOWN

I NOTIFIED COINS E TO DELIST THE COIN

IF ANYONE HAS A PROPOSED FIX THAT CAN SOLVE ALL THE PROBLEMS (CURRENT BLOCK TIME STAMP NEGATIVE CANNOT BE SOLVED, DIFFICULTY NEEDS TO BE RESET FROM 292 MILLION AND A HOST OF OTHER PROBLEMS)  DO A GITPULL AND IF IT WORKS ILL MERGE IT AND RESTART THE CHAIN

BLOCK HEIGHT WHERE I STOPPED IT IS 57307,

WHILE I SOLVED EACH PROBLEM INDIVIDUALLY I CANNOT SEEM TO PUT IT ALL TOGETHER

I AM TIRED OF IT

THATS IT

update 1 year later --- nodes remain active but due to involvment in other projects and future projects in early stages of development support is discontinued at this time ---- contact me on twitter for any questions --

Be smart. Be safe.  Get all NAUT off MintPal now. And everything else. Not worth the risk.

I'm moved some off.. but I think it's an overreaction to take everything off. There's many fear pedlars in the forums and twitter who have a blatant anti-mintpal agenda.  The twitter crypto crew who attempt to behave like helpful traders are really a bunch of loosely coordinated scammers.

All you need to do is read MintPals own release:

https://support.mintpal.com/index.php?module=announce&sec=view&id=18

"How did the attack happen?
The malicious user was able to inject a withdrawal request directly into our database bypassing the risk control measures that we have in place. We have found no evidence that our server infrastructure was directly accessed in the attack."

"What about COLD storage?
This is perhaps the most important question we have been asked. We did have COLD storage setup for VRC, however in this instance, due to an error for which only we can be accountable, we had transferred far fewer coins than was required, resulting in a large proportion of coins being left in the HOT wallet."

Per their statement this was a Mintpal issue. Further they failed to properly use cold storage. Basic common sense: You should not be trusting them right now for any coin. If you have been around crypto for any length of time you should know that about exchanges by now.

Be safe, remove all coins. It's not worth the risk. They have not earned trust. No exchange has.
