Capire se ti hanno fregato i bitcoin con quella firma richiederebbe un bel approfondimento. Per come si è sviluppata la viceda Io credo che sia molto probabile che sia stato così ma la prova richiede notevoli competenze tecniche in materia e anche voglia di farlo. Se così fosse stato sarebbe veramente uno scam molto elegante. Ciò non fa che confermare il fatto che Bitcoin non sarà mai una valuta di massa. Tenere i bitcoin in sicurezza richiede delle competenze tecniche tantissimo al di sopra della media.

Sta entrando online più capacità di mining e conseguentemente i tempi di conferma si abbassano.
Stiamo per andare ad un nuovo record di crescita della difficoltà. Credo sarà il terzo record di fila.
Ciò mi sembra un'ottima notizia. Più hashing power vuol dire più sicurezza della rete e quindi più valore per i bitcoin.
L'unico aspetto da preoccuparsi sarebbe come questa nuova capacità si stia distribuendo. Tutti sapiamo che se ce concentrazione non è cosa buona.
Per il resto più alta la difficoltà meglio per tutti.

Questo dump non ha (almeno fino a dove ho potuto vedere io) una motivazione esterna. Qualcuno sa di qualche notizia che abbia potuto innescare l'ondata di vendite?
A me sembra piuttosto che qualcuno stia testando quanto tiene il mercato ma potrebbe essere anche qualche miner con delle necessità di cassa. Bisognerà attendere lunedì mattina in Asia per capire meglio.

I can't really see any correlation of difficulty and price. It's related to spiraling hardware specs which cares not for what traders are doing. The traders who dictate the price probably don't care as long it all still creaks along.
Well if you think about it for a while it is quite intuitive. There are 3 reasons why you would not observe a clear correlation even though the basic idea is that for any given asset price will converge to intrinsic value over time. 1. Some assets like bonds fore example are very easy to value because they have more or less predictable cash flows in the future as well as companies like S&P rating the solvency of the issuer. For bonds price and value will tend to deviate little. Bitcoin on the other hand is a different asset more akin to gold with no cash flows one can use for valuation. For these type of assets value a price can deviate significantly over a prolonged period of time. Also value becomes much more subjective and difficult to define. 2. In any case any asset must have value otherwise nobody would waste their time with it so you must think what are the value drivers of an asset like Bitcoin? As a bitcoin trader I have considered this question for long and came up with several ideas one which is the degree of security of the network or how resistant it is to attacks. Of course this is not the only value driver but it is a major one in my view. All other things being equal a cryptocurrency with more mining power backing it will be more valuable than one with less mining power simply because it is more secure. 3. The reason why you'd not observe such a correlation in the short term is because if you would you'd be making money very easily. Buy bitcoins, then buy mining equipment and start mining, price increases, sell come of the bitcoins, buy more mining equipment, make more money, repeat. |

Non credo sia proprio così. La speculazione non è legata a nessun periodo temporale in particolare anche se devo ammettere che a chi fa speculazione sui mercati con orizzonti temporali più lunghi e/o prende livelli di rischio più bassi viene chiamato più nobilmente "investitore" mentre chi fa speculazione nel breve periodo e/o prende rischi più elevati tende ad essere chiamato meno nobilmente "speculatore". In ogni case questa distinzioni è puramente fittizia e chiunque compra / vende qualsiasi strumento (bond, azioni, bitcoin, appartamenti, metalli, ecc.) con l'obbiettivo di venderlo/ricomprarlo nel futuro e fare un guadagno è sempre uno speculatore indipendentemente che l'orizzonte temporale dell'operazione sia 1 microsecondo oppure 10 anni. |

Yes. Very much. If there are no negative events in Bitcoin security and regulatory landscape I'm looking for Bitcoin to make new highs in 2016 (relative to 2015) in a conservative scenario. In an optimistic scenario I think it can touch $1000 or come very close to this figure. In any case I do expect the bullish trend to continue fueled by: 1. Increased adoption as revealed by more transactions in the network. 2. Increased hashing power and hence increased security and therefore higher value of the network. 3. Reduction of supply of new asset supply due to halving by mid 2016. Of course in the short term anything can happen as any trader with a significant position can push the price up or down. My expectation are on the mid term trend. I didnt really follow the asic manufacturers but arent the next gen asics out?
I don't know exactly but looking at the last massive difficulty increases looks like this could be the case. |

ma ho una serie di osservazioni scientifiche, psicologiche e filosofiche per dimostrartelo.
Ho capito. Io rispetto i punti di vista diversi anche se su questo punto mi troverai nelle antipode. Io penso che il trading, e la speculazione in generale, sia un lavoro intellettualmente molto sfidante, economicamente molto gratificante e addirittura socialmente utile poiché contribuisce a fare i mercati più efficienti e ciò ha un effetto positivo sull'economia. Ovviamente in questa affermazione sto lasciando fuori tutte le attività illegali connesse col trading che hanno un effetto negativo come ad esempio insider trading, manipolazione del mercato, ecc... Una cosa vorrei chiederti però. Ma se tu la pensi così perché hai fatto un lavoro che fino a dove posso capire sarebbe utile più che altro a traders e speculatori? |

Hai ragione! Sono andato subito alla fine. Hai fatto un lavoro molto interessante! Hai implementato queste osservazioni come una strategia di trading? Sarebbe interessante aggiornare i grafici nel primo post con dei dati più recenti visto che si fermano a fine 2013. |

Grazie per la condivisione. Ad occhio nudo la correlazione mi sembra abbastanza chiara. Andando a leggere sulla legge di Metcalfe su wikipedia si fa riferimento a che il valore di una “rete” è proporzionale al quadrato dei numeri di utenti. Ciò mi sembra un idea abbastanza intuitiva visto che per il singolo utente ha più valore una rete con molti altri utenti collegati. Ma nel caso del grafico in questione si parla del numero di transazioni e non di utenti anche se sembra intuitivo pure in questo case che il numero di transazioni sia proporzionale al numero di utenti. Quindi alla fine si arriva alla conclusione che il valore del bitcoin e proporzionale al numero di utenti cosa che potevamo intuire già ma questa teoria / grafico ci conferma. Davvero molto interessante. Ai fini speculativi il grafico indica una sottovalutazione del bitcoin cosa che mi trova d’accordo. |

di norma un messaggio firmato, serve solo a verificare la proprietà di un address BTC. Non è possibile dalla firma risalire alla priv key
Certamente ma è possibile firmare una transazione e poi trasmeterla alla blockchain in un secondo momento e bye bye bitcoins. |

no il wallet non era protetto, ma non lo era nemmeno quello con 0,1 bitcoin sopra, ed era nella stessa cartella, presente allo stesso momento.

mi è venuto in mente 1 dettaglio, non so se possa servire, il casinò , per poter prelevare obbligava a firmare un msg con quel wallet. io non ho mai firmato in vita mia, ho seguioto le istruzioni, ho cliccato su firma, ho inserito un codice che mi ha dato il casinò , cliccato ok e multibit mi ha dato un codice, che ho girato al casinò
Ti ricordi più o meno come era la stringa che ti ha fatto firmare il casinò? Non nei particolari ma se era un testo, una stringa esadecimale, base64, lunghezza. EDIT: se tu riuscise a recuperare la firma che hai fatto si potrebbe verificare facilmente se è stato il casinò a truffarti. |

It's great that the difficulty is going up to the highest levels ever, but don't forget that we have been sitting at around $220-$250 for a very long time. And at that time the difficulty was also increasing, not as much as now, but it was increasing. This price gives miners more reason to turn on their hardware, and that could be the reason for this difficulty jump.
They also anticipate on the price that will go up because the demand will increase due to people that are willing to buy coins before the block halving. I am fairly sure if the price stays around $500 without moving much, the difficulty will still jump with at least 5-10% per difficulty adjustment. These prices are great for miners. If the price goes up even more, then it's even better for them.
You're argument is flawed. You're missing the point that this is the highest level ever difficulty has reached and the biggest ever increase in difficulty. These are not miners "turning on" their mining equipment as you claim. This is brand new capacity joining the network at massive rates. If you mind checking the media you'll see that several miners have made announcements of significant capacity and efficiency increases in the recent past. You also miss the point that price and difficulty will never be correlated in the short term. If they would even an idiot would make money trading and that is not the case. Speculation is based on appreciating the differences in price and value of an asset and trading accordingly. Hash power / difficulty is one of most, if not the most, important determinants of the value of bitcoins. |
