Oh, and lets not forget the fear index.

Retail investors are very uncertain about bitcoin right now.

Maybe you should actually read more then the headline  Wink

Extreme fear can be a sign that investors are too worried. That could be a buying opportunity.

-snip-

This is incredible! I remember you showed it yesterday in chat. The guy was risking from 23.7 BTC to over 30 BTC each time betting with 1.03x multiplier. Those were some ballsy bets indeed. I thought maybe he lost everything eventually, but no, his Total profit is 3.88788034 BTC . Good job! He has also won 7+ ETH and almost 17 XMR. What a lucky guy! Never played with other coins, so no neg profits at all.

Also, did you see his Client seed, truegamblersbetthefarm? Some gamblers are worth making movies about. Smiley

I just checked my btc investment and saw a huge spike.
I instantly remembered your post and needed to check his profit again...and he is down by -54.5BTC

Did someone see the live action and is the guy still ok?

The thing with provably fair gambling is that you can easily prove that the website itself isn't cheating the player.
Luckily these bad reviews are not really common and I doubt anyone actually reads them. For some reason they're always written in poor English as well  Roll Eyes

Since you mention it. Will there be considerations to make the lottery provably fair as well?

No. Lottery draw is made by trusted third party provider. And total process is completely transparent and site could not manipulate result in any way.

Is there a link to the public records for the drawings of RandomPicker?

Yes.

https://app.randompicker.com/Project/Public/ProjectsRecent.aspx?Key=550772x4478

Awesome. I didn't know that.
Why is this not linked in the 'How does it work?' tab of the lottery?

11  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin & die Steuer - FAQ on: August 24, 2018, 09:23:21 AM

1. buy 10ETH @ 650€
2. sell 10ETH @ 690€
  -> 6900€ - 6500€ = 400€
3. buy 11.5ETH at 600€

Confiscating my coins because I was unaware of your rule, which is an unjust one about having two accounts is not a decent business practice.

Please explain what the harm is to players that like to play different betting styles to have two accounts?

I like one account on autoplay for fun and the other to gamble as desired.

How is it not theft taking my coins?

As Luptin explained before, you agreed to their rules that they can refuse any withdrawals, and that funds of blocked accounts cannot be withdrawn.

I personally don't agree with the rule either, and I think that it should be made clear what would happen to the funds of a blocked account, but that's another story.

I think it was made pretty clear what happens to funds from a blocked account.

From the FAQ: " Can I have multiple accounts?
No, only one account per person is allowed. Players with multiple accounts will be blocked and all funds, including investments, will be confiscated."

From the ToS: "4.3. Each player is authorized only one account. Users with more accounts, or players who use outside scripts to interfere with our bidding system, including but not limited to VPN services, will be automatically blocked. Blocked players cannot play or withdraw funds. "

How could they have been any more clear?

Browsewrap agreements generally dont do well in court.
I dont think there is a clickwrap on registration, right? You should consider this just in case.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: June 05, 2018, 10:01:55 AM
With anxiety one of the most important steps to recovery is accepting it and not working against it.
With merit it quite the same for me. Accept that threads im interested in (altcoins) are not a place to gain merit.

If your here for money and commenting to get merit, you probably will not receive much. If your interested in topics where merit is not given out, you wont get merit.
All im "loosing" is a rank up and double reward from bounty. What i am gaining by not chasing merit is having a good time in the forum.

Maybe the sources should be higher than 80 with lower reward, not because some people feel they deserve merit but because the forum have gotten massive and 80 sources will not cover a fraction of the threads.
People interested in altcoins should just give up merit even with more sources though Tongue And that is ok Smiley

But the whole merit system is designed to work with just a few sources.
When someone gets merit from a source he gets half the amount of smerit which he can spend whereever he wants to.

There should be enough users which are visiting different topics and therefore the merit spreads most likely into every single of those as long as users use their merit.
And I think thats the only problem. Some users simply dont care about merit and therefore dont award any others with their smerit.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power consumption of Bitcoin mining on: May 18, 2018, 09:53:25 AM
This topic comes up frequently and there are some arguments I can agree with which are regular responded.

1. The current fiat system consumes much more energy. Besides the power consumption for a payment-processing systems you also need to consider that the current system consumes energy for building banks etc.

2. bitcoin mining takes place in regions with low energy costs (most likely equivalent to a power surplus) which prevents the need of energy transportation/conversion which would lead to a percentage of energy being wasted.

3. The generated heat from the mining can be used which would make the energy not totally wasted and benefits the one using the mining equipment as heater because of the mining reward. Example:http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/bitcoin-mining-greenhouse-fish-farm-1.4470295

sorry tried again to start and earned. But it doesn't show that the stone wasn't, 0 or 9999, it just writes [string "chunk"]: 13: attempt to call global 'Stop' (a nil value)

You wont see any output since there is no print in the code before the stop.
And it seems that it worked besides that stop() is case sensitive so it didnt stop through the function but an error Cheesy

I don't really understand what you need to prepare for these forks.
Either a fork will be supported by the ledger or not and if so multiple investors will most likely post here and ask for their forked coins so you dont even need to check it yourself  Cheesy.
Up until ledger doesnt announce any support for a fork you can simply ignore it, right?

The first thing that comes to mind is they would need to take a snapshot of everyone's balances at the time of the fork.

Ok, yeah. I totally missed that one. But at least investments which are older then the time of the fork would be an easy catch.

Lets hope there will be no successful fork coin in the near future Wink
Couldn't care less about all those trash forks some of which I have never heard of.
