I funded and improved my Bitcoin Testnet faucet. I took measures to prevent abuse. Most people should not notice any changes, spammers will find out.

Good, guess people are really excited about the new chains and resort to such drainage.

The Sacramento Kings have started trade negotiations with the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal.
The Sacramento Kings had an unexpected performance this year.
It will be good for them to strengthen their team with Bradley Beal.

It's going to be very difficult for the Kings though, I mean they have a good and solid team this season and almost upset the Warriors in their playoff series. And who's on the trading block with? Fox? I doubt that the Wizards will just get a 2-3 B-players for the King in exchange of Beal. Maybe the sticking point might be their future draft, but we will see.

There's a lot names in the trading block or might request a trade at the start of the season. And again, this will make the team very competitive. For Lebron James, I'm not seeing him leaving the Lakers tough.

I mean the Wizards really should have blown everything up a long time ago, being a perennial edge of the playoffs team is the worst thing that can happen, that's the NBA no-man's land. They dumped Wall, now get rid of Beal for picks and some talent and start over. The Beal/Porzingis/Kuzma outfit ain't taking them nowhere. They could probably dump Kuzma on some contender for a couple picks and filler.

I snatched this list off of Twitter but I thought it was cool so I’m posting it here. It shows the prominent players that are expected to be moved this off-season and the teams that have the best odds of getting them. Not so sure the Lakers would let LeBron leave and then sign Kyrie…

LeBron James: Mavericks
Damian Lillard: Heat
James Harden: Rockets
Kyrie Irving: Lakers
Russell Westbrook: Knicks
Trae Young: Lakers
Chris Paul: Spurs
Draymond Green: Jazz
Fred VanVleet: Suns
Khris Middleton: Thunder
Nikola Vucevic: Celtics
Brook Lopez: Rockets
Al Horford: Hawks
D’Angelo Russell: Suns
Dillon Brooks: Heat
DeAndre Ayton: Mavericks

Interesting list.  It would be something seeing Lebron and Luca playing together down in Dallas. If you wanted to win a championship, wouldn't you try and keep Kyrie too?  I'm going off all memory here, but I'm assuming this list says Lebron to Dallas for Kyrie because Lebron I'm guessing is locked up with LA for the next season or two.

Sad not seeing my Bulls on this list anywhere.  They are in no mans land right now, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.  Ugh

I read today that the Bulls are looking to pickup Russell Westbrook or Chris Paul so you’d better hope they don’t make any moves. Lol

Kendrick Perkins today talking about how he think James Harden will sign with the Lakers. Not sure about that either. With LeBron and Harden both resting on defense they’ll get blown out every night.

Perkins will say anything to stay relevant. Harden to the Lakers is not really realistic - they don't have enough cap space or tradeable assets. LeBron is also at all probability not getting traded.

That whole list is kinda wack. Why would a rebuilding Jazz want an over the hill Draymond? Trae or Kyrie to the Lakers is again not really viable for salary cap reasons, I mean no one really wants D'Angelo Russell. Dillon Brooks is many things but a prominent player he is not. Don't really think the Suns will trade Ayton - they just got a coach who liks to build a defense around a big man. Middleton to Thunder - like, why?

I think Shaq being as dominant as he was on the paint makes him better than any big men I have ever seen in my life. I haven't seen Kareem or Bill or Wilt because they were before my time and seen a few videos at the time but that doesn't mean that I am going to end up seeing Jokic and think he is better than Shaq was. He was unstoppable and you knew what he would do and yet you couldn't stop him.

Teams literally got 3-4 big guys just to put them behind him and foul him, think about it, teams literally built their roster around Shaq, nobody is doing that for Jokic, and will never do because that's not his style but that's the difference. Jokic is amazing don't get me wrong, he is a top 20-30 player of all time even right now, and he still has career left, but I won't put him above Shaq.

That's an interesting discussion right there. Shaq did indeed warp whole defenses back in the day. He did win four rings, so rating him above Joker is not that controversial. O'Neal wouldn't have it as easy nowadays though. There is a lot more shooting all around the league, zone defense is legal. While Shaq would be a pain to cover, he'd have issues on defense - teams would just put him into pick and roll after pick and roll and force him to defend in space.

Dude, I really like KCP.

He's been traded after winning the title with Lakers and now he's with the Denver Nuggets. I hope that he won't be traded again and he's good to stay with his team. They've got a chemistry and he's always there when he's needed on those important minutes of the game.

The Nuggets' management will make a big mistake if they don't keep their current roster for at least one more season. As for KCP, he's under contract with the Nuggets until the end of the 24/25 season. So I wouldn't worry about him because he will most likely be with the Nuggets.
Anyway, the season is officially over, and now it's offseason time. I even wonder if there will be any major trades between other teams this summer or not.
I think they need one more player to be even better, I'm thinking someone like Doncic would fit them perfectly he is good friend with Jokic and I think he would thrive in Nuggets. With that happening I see them win couple of championships more.

Getting Doncic is not really realistic - cannot see Dallas really letting him go. Denver's biggest strength is their cadre of two-way role players is a great match for the creation abilities of both Joker and Murray. Gutting the roster for another star essentially doubling Jokic's playmaking role would be counterproductive.

The Denver core is still pretty young. They should just get a couple reinforcements via vet min contracts and run it back with the team they have. It's not like there are a lot of up-and-coming teams to leapfrog them talent-wise:
Warriors and Lakers are kinda old
Boston is super inconsistent
Miami seems to always be two players away
Philadelphia has Harden who will be either gone or older and less efficient
Phoenix looks to be kinda top heavy and a team Denver should match up well against

Not saying Denver will go all the way again, but it doesn't look as if they need to make major changes.

The one challenge Denver has is to make the squad deeper. This year they enjoyed perfect playoff health. While Jokic is a rock, players like MPJ or Murray have a less than perfect availability record, Uncle Jeff might as well slip just enough to become unplayable. They did a great job finding Braun in the draft, not too many rookies can credibly hold their own in the finals. As returning champions with a relatively young squad they might be able to snag a couple ring-chasing vets for the minimum.

I was one of those people who thought Denver couldn't win, and yes Jokic did deserved the MVP but I assumed it wasn't "that" obvious, I thought it was close enough to just let it be. But after watching the lakers series and the finals full game, I can easily say that he could be one of the best players of right now, I still put Giannis there too because I really enjoy him playing but Jokic has an unstoppable mechanism and playstyle, it is really near impossible to find a way to defend that, don't know how other teams could end up doing it.

I would guess that you need to have 2 players that can guard Jokic and the guard that plays with him at that moment, and usually people who can guard Jokic are very rare, and you need two of them, so you can switch.

The Lakers showed an interesting approach - put one big on him (Hachimura) and have another shotblocker on the court to challenge him at the basket (AD). While this lead to some turnovers, next time Jokic might be better prepared to kick it out to shooters. Also not many teams have an AD-level defender.

Occurrences like this should cause NBA team execs to rethink their talent scouting approach. The Lakers also uncovered a gem in the rough with Austin Reaves, or earlier Caruso. With all the focus on the draft the players left on the outside are a perhaps underappreciated talent pool.

Win or lose against Denver Nuggets, they are already in the history books. A bunch of undrafted players with an extraordinary coach and Jimmy Buckets. This Miami Heat team needs to get under so much pressure first in order to activate its X-factor thing. They are supposed to be the #7 but lost to Atlanta in the play-ins that they still need to beat Chicago just to join this season's playoff. And after a surprising 2-0 win in Boston, they lost 3 straight games which was so unusual that they really have to undergo a very tough situation in TD Garden for a chance to be in the finals.

I say, what a journey for the Miami Heat before heading into the finals. And let's not forget that they are missing some key players due to injuries. But somehow they beat the #1 seed in the whole NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the championship favorite Boston Celtics.

Both coaches will need to do hella adjustments for Thursday. Ham will probably scrap the three-guard lineup and put Hachimura / Vando on Jokic. Malone will need to adjust to that and also find a way to counter LeBron switching and posting up Murray. Seems the Nuggest have more to think about, but they have one W which more than compensates for that.

Think the defensive schemes next game should be a bit easier to implement, as the role players on both teams should revert to the mean with their shooting.

The first-half strategy of the Nuggets was so simple, pull Anthony Davis out by putting Jokic at a high post and it was successful. In the next half, Coach Ham made a big risk by deciding to put AD against Gordon and it worked like a charm. Coach Malone didn't adjust well and Gordon was so used to staying below the rim that he don't know what to do.
As Jeff Van Gundy said about Gordon being their key factor to winning the next game, I think I agree. There's so much room for improvement in the Nuggets team as long as they know what is happening in their environment.
Gordon could pull AD outside too and if he doesn't, punish him by shooting threes. He ain't bad at shooting those distance shots, he can make it.

Nikola Jokic 6th triple-double in the post-season. He is a monster and that prayer 3-pointer just made AD smile.  Cheesy Nuggets claiming the first win. It's damn entertaining when the Lakers got back and cut the lead by three.

Wonder how Wemby holds up tho. Players with his size have a spotty health track record. He might not get career ending injuries, more such diminishing his effectiveness a la Porizingis. That said the Spurs are the original "DNP - OLD" champions, so there is hope.

Well, San Antonio with the 1st pick in the draft this year, they did everything in their power to get some odds to get it, and it was successful.

Sometimes losing pays out Smiley .

Guess the NBA is not suuuper happy since they obviously want to see Wembanyama in a big market but since LA, NY and so on all had good seasons it is what it is.

It will definitely be good for Wemby because he will get a great coach (that just signed an extension) which is know for developing players into stars. Also since Texas has vno state income tax he can earn more money on his rookie contract.

Looking forward for summer league and so on, it's gonna be a show!

It depends on what kind of member he is if he is a bounty hunter who ignored other sections of this forum and he only knows the bounty section, and all his activity are all bounty reports then it's possible, not because you are a member of this forum you are safe from scammers it still depends on your mindset and how you do your research on all the projects you are involved in.
Some members do not know the function of a forum, they do not know how to interact, and they are only here to make money through bounty reports

13  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: AI voice replicating scams on: May 02, 2023, 05:03:19 PM
There are a few scams, e.g. "otc trades" conducted via discord, where the impersonation of a trusted party is already a topic even without AI. The easy solution is to reverse reach out anytime anyone asks for money / tells you to send money somewhere to check for impersonations. If the scammers use AI to impersonate the other person this can be also to a degree dealt with by asking a question from the past only the real counterpart would answer.
14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: May 02, 2023, 12:55:52 PM
Hypersonic weapons? Poland? UK? Oh dear... From the beginning of the invasion the Russian military capabilities have steadily been deteriorating. The number of equipment losses is well documented, the fact they have been rolling out older and older equipment as well. In terms of missiles their production capabilities have also been analyzed and estimated many times over. At this point Russia is far closer to running out of equipment than invading or attacking any other country.

I especially like the spin about how since the Russians didn't load their strategic bombers to the gills with ordnance, it means that they are running out.  To me it seems much more likely that they put in a few unstoppable hypersonic weapons and knew for sure that that would be all it would take.

Of course the Russians are not going to waste missiles for no reason.  Nobody would.  My guess is that they are saving up plenty for Poland.  And maybe a nice big fatty packed with depleted uranium for the farmlands of the British Isles.  Shouldn't bother the British very much since they are on record as saying that DU is not a problem.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of Increasingly Sophisticated Malware Infection Attempts on: May 02, 2023, 12:04:01 PM
This one is actually pretty old, a couple years I'd say. Now it's more a meme than anything else. The malicious wallet signatures were and still are a pretty dangerous thing.

I was intrigued by a scam which consists in revealing its mnemonic phrase on a forum, on twitter or other.
So I installed one of this wallet which indeed has funds. I observed what was happening and asked for explanations (to a bitcointalker): there are erc20 tokens in a wallet for example, but to transfer them you need fees. The people who install this fraudulent wallet send the fees which are instantly scanned and sent to another wallet. This is really very clever.
I would like to understand better how it works. From what I understood, the scammers use some kind of robot to instantly send the fees elsewhere.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's your take on the "seasons" topic? on: April 14, 2023, 06:48:42 PM
One rather overused term in crypto are "seasons". I admit getting sometimes a bit lost whether we have now "altcoin season", "memecoin season" or whatever else. There are also people who have theories about which season follows which. Was wondering - is their anything more than anecdotal evidence for the existence and order of said "seasons"?
18  Local / Polski / Re: Ordinals NFT na sieci Bitcoina on: April 14, 2023, 06:45:24 PM
A to zabija potencjal systemu i tworzenia nowych, wartosciowych kolekcji.

20  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now tell me if you still believe on Elon Musk. on: June 03, 2021, 12:27:57 AM
I believe Elon is a great businessman with a lot of talent for building and scaling groundbreaking ideas. I will follow any venture he himself is building and would gladly invest in it if possible. He is however not an expert on each and every topic.

He is and will remain the god of crypto memeland for the foreseeable future. As for more mainstream crypto - anytime you pump a coin based on the words of Elon or anyone else, you incur a debt. Elon or any influencer can call it in at any time by saying something opposite. I think the willingness to incur these debts from influencers should decrease over time.
