This is interesting, I hope you guys are in compliance with the rules though. And if you're not my opinion it that shouldn't invest much time hosting your operation on Reddit if the admins could shut it down over rule violation.

I wish we'd see some action. :p Doesn't seem likely though.
Where have have you been? Last weeks there hasn't been anything other than volatility. It's great if you know how to use it in your advantage. I personally prefer a stable but steady growth since I am not a hardcore trader. I just do buy low, wait some time, and sell high. Last few days? Sure. But imo, after the fall I don't think that much action is to be anticipated.

π.χ. Uphold.com.

I wonder how long it would take for google to spot and shut down such abusive use of their services.

The fees to transact cryptocurrency aren't zero, and if cryptocurrency use was widespread we would have been seeing quite a growing sum there.

I downloaded daily trading data from 2011 and tried to look at certain things. I'll start with a good remark. Here's the 24hr volume from the top 25 BitstampUSD days with the biggest BTC volumes. (Data from http://bitcoincharts.com 2011-09-13 to today) Timestamp 18/12/2013 14/01/2015 25/02/2014 04/11/2015 15/01/2015 07/12/2013 03/11/2015 10/02/2014 19/11/2013 06/10/2014 14/02/2014 10/11/2013 07/02/2014 03/03/2014 05/10/2014 01/12/2013 02/10/2013 13/01/2015 05/11/2015 16/12/2013 20/11/2013 18/11/2013 19/12/2013 26/01/2015 24/10/2013 | Volume (BTC) 137070.18 124188.89 115761.99 105959.26 83488.42 79852.42 77212.78 71860.54 71560.95 69537.66 68378.15 67237.41 66362.26 64914.82 61726.37 61544.38 60639.39 60556.16 60174.71 58806.7 57711.51 57089.08 56734.11 55829.61 55593.93 | Weighted Price 527.76 189.84 480.66 445.45 207.35 706.83 389.22 638.64 597.83 315.47 623.49 299.68 702.59 632.09 305.81 945.67 109.65 235.97 401.92 730.62 542.03 549.7 622.34 282.21 185.91 |
What does this mean? One could say that there's great diversity between significant entry points in terms of price. Also shows that trading is still holding strong after the 2013 bubble. Now for something not so joyful. More bitcoin's have changed hands during days with a higher weighted price than 333 USD than the rest. ~58% of BTC trade volume has happened above 333 USD. Does that mean that the majority of people that have traded bitcoin are at loss? Hard to come to such a specific conclusion just from the above, coming to that conclusion would require a very extensive study as well as looking at types evidence that might not even be available. The percentage certainly points towards this direction though.

It's extremely easy to quote multiple posts at once. Quoting an entire post from the thread you're replying to is a click away, there's no excuse replying multiple times one below the other to provide answers to other posters while you could have done it in a single post. As others said, this fits the definition of spamming quite well. Hope this guy will learn his lesson. :p

How am I not qualified to say the truth?
Obviously not everyone will come up with an idea. I'm just saying that if you're going to complain about the way Bitcoin is, then you should do something about it instead of whine.
Let others judge you, you can't be an objective judge of yourself due to the point of view you'll always have.

I think that OP is missing the point at large. Many people use bitcoin for various reasons. Thanks to it's neutrality and ease of getting to use an address with just basic technical skills needed it's obvious that not every user is going to have a deep technical understanding. Not every bitcoiner can program, not every bitcoiner can come up with BIPs (bitcoin improvement proposals). Whoever is a user however, still hase the chance to defend the way they're using bitcoin by complaining if it was to be threatened. After all, ideas aren't far from complaints. Especially if the person coming up with the idea can't or doesn't know how to implement it. My ego isn't huge at all.
You're not qualified to say that.

I just re-bought bitcoins at about 30% profit in terms of BTC. Good day to be a trader hodler hybrid. How did you guys do?

Time for a buy back! If your goal was to multiply your coins then it's a good day to re-enter the market. The last weeks we saw a lot of volatility, a fall was probably predicted but I didn't really expect it to take place in one day. Perhaps there's more volatility incoming.

Here's a website with user reviews. https://www.bestchange.com/unichange-exchanger.htmlbestchange is a legit website. It lists exchangers and has accurate rate calculations, so I'd assume the reviews are also authentic. In any case, better start with a small amount at first tough.

Seems minimalistic and I like the design. I also like how you can permalink a currency for sharing. Just bookmarked!
