61  Local / India / Re: Ideas and Thoughts for celebrating 10th Bitcointalk Anniversary in Indian board on: October 25, 2019, 05:37:19 PM
If you're planning to restrict the participation to only Indian members, I don't think the speculation game would be a good option. But, the speculation game would certainly attract a lot of people towards this subforum, but I bet, most of them would be temporary who would just want to get hands on some free coins.

3rd option would just result in spam and has been done so many times over the forum.

I believe that the first option is the most feasible one and would restrict the participation to Indians only. Talking about your privacy concern, the address would be communicated over personal messages and we can decide upon a middle-man who's identity is known(Benson, if he's free) and send the coin through him, that'd make protect your information.

22 November is about a month later, and if we plan something in the coming week, I am pretty sure we'd see good amount of participation.
Also, I suggest you add an extra "comment" to be made of some sort along with price speculation to avoid leechers/spammers
62  Local / India / Re: How do YOU convert your Bitcoins to INR ? on: October 25, 2019, 05:12:33 PM
I personally always use localbitcoins for liquidating my bitcoins, I understand that your concern must be the high exchange rates over there, but I've got a trick. Make a paytm merchant/business account, and you get the most money out of your coins if you sell them for paytm.
Transfer the paytm to your bank for 0% tx fees  Wink
Other than that, I have used Koinex exchange a couple of times.
If you've got ethereum, then localethereum is a good option to check out

this is the reason why when someone says BTC has bottom out its the opposite that you have to expect. the drop looks very sharp and if they hit the floor it can really drag the price down to probably the last bottom like $3k to which i hope not. but i'd have to dump mine as well. now that i'm also seeing uncertainty to all these. the gurus in the chat says dump so i must.  Grin no reasons at all.
The drop was way too sharp that it seemed very unnatural. My guess is some whales went and sold his coins in a very short time span. It was really unexpected since I had the idea that it would actually move sideways and would only drop a bit to around 7900 or so and then stabilize there. It is good news for those who want to buy though. It is an opportunity to hodl cause I expect a push through 9k in the near future and could possibly increase further because of the may halving about to occur next year.
Surprising that even after a steep fall, other altcoins are doing decent, hence, I don't think its a market crash. Market is volatile and is in the hands of big investors or whom we call 'whales' and rightly stated, I believe this fall is due to a huge bitcoin dump in an attempt to manipulate the market.
I'd suggest the buyers to wait and see if the price falls further down, and purchase more once it hits 7000$, bitcoin will recover and I really wish this fall is temporary, which seems so looking at altcoin markets
And it turns out that my prediction was right yet again, bitcoin is back up to 8,400$+ and is building up stronger than last few weeks. Mark my words, bitcoin is touching 12k+ this Christmas and 15k+ Halvening next year  Smiley

65  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down...now at $7,654.85 on: October 23, 2019, 02:30:55 PM
Bitcoin is down to 7450$ now and I don't see any reason to panic yet. Seems like a whale trying to manipulate the market looking at the sudden dump, building up opportunities to buy more coins for cheap  Cheesy
Buy every dump, Sell once the price is stable!

Pick : Trail Blazers : -1.5

I will look into this after today's game, Nuggets and Trail Blazers are two teams that are fun to watch, but I am a Blazers fan most especially when they are playing at home and I think that -1.5 looks very easy, but then again, there might be some injuries within the team that only make them -1.5 against the Nuggets that they beat in the semi last playoffs.
I am a Blazers fan too, and as I said, with Blazers being fairly good at aggression and Nuggets having a solid defence, this game would be a cracker. I even consider Blazers to be a good contender in NBA this season. Damian Lillard is one of my favourite backcourts, this game will definitely be close but I feel Blazers gonna take the W

L.A. Clippers v/s L.A. Lakers

Town rivals going to clash tonight. Clippers look much better than last season after signing former NBA champion Kawhi Leonard and trading with Oklahoma City for Paul George. Lou Williams would be feeling confident after a great performance last season. But talking about the games against Lakers, I don't see them being able to stop James and Davis and Lakers should come out with a victory in this one. If Clippers play Kuzma, then I am pretty sure Lakers would take the win pretty easily.

Pick :: L.A. Lakers : -3.5

Portland Trail Blazers v/s Denver Nuggets

Denver Nuggets after standing 2nd in Western Conference last season will be looking forward to continuing their success. With Denver Nuggets being one of the least scoring but heavy on defence team last season, and on the other hand, Trail Blazers being one of the highest-scoring team with 114.7 average points last season, it'll be a great game to look out for. The Trail Blazers have the best backcourt in the league, and their additions will make them that much better. Portland will bring Kent Bazemore, Rodney Hood, and Pau Gasol off the bench along with Anfernee Simons who can prove out to be a good pick early this season. Portland will be jumping for the season opener, and they will edge out the Nuggets in a close game.

Pick : Trail Blazers : -1.5
69  Other / Meta / Re: Why don't you stop SPAMMERS yourself, admins? #RaiseYourVoice on: October 22, 2019, 10:13:25 PM
When you have the balls and you know you have got mods to spread them in, why don't you give these moderators the power to limit these spammers from posting in the boards they spam in?

Simple, let's say if a spammer posts too many shitposts in gambling area of the forum just because of the specified limits to be reached to get paid from the signature campaign he/she is enrolled in, why to ban them or their signature? Why not just take such board/s/ off-limits to these spammers? How will they post there then? And once removed from the campaign, do you think they will actively participate in other areas of the forum? Keeping a list of all spammers who are limited from posting in specific areas will also help moderators to give you a final report while such users have spammed in the remaining boards they were allowed to post in or not, and then you decide whether to ban these users or to allow them to post again in those limited areas on the basis of their posting behavior.
Soft-Banning spammers automatically is a thing on other forums such as nulled, leakforums and a few others where leechers get banned if they don't contribute to the forum constructively and they stay banned till they do so.
This works fairly well for those forums where people post to collect freebies. Can you tell what algorithm should be used over here to prevent the spammers and auto soft-banning them, if you have something in mind?
70  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: October 22, 2019, 10:09:41 PM
So you haven't been contributing to the forum until before you joined this campaign and when it came, you started burstposting with multiple posts in an hour. Yeah, that's spamming/burstposting. Post every 15-20 mins including facts and information based on the topic.

Poor quality and unconstructive posts will not be tolerated on this campaign. You don't need to write an essay with each post but one word replies in spammy off topic threads or streams of constant half-assed one liners will immediately get you removed. Please just put some effort in to your posts and you'll be fine.

Users with negative feedback from Default Trust users will be reviewed and removed at my discretion. Burstposting and or spamming to be paid is grounds for immediate removal. No matter the reason.

Rules nowhere state the subforums where one's post won't be counted. Does it imply that I am free to post constructively on any subforum including the local ones?
