241  Economy / Gambling / Re: TonPoker - Telegram Poker Room on: May 14, 2024, 01:08:24 PM
That's actually a great question and one of my concerns as well, the phone number part.
I have 3 tg accounts, 1 private, 1 for crypto/forum related stuff and one for gambling channels and so on. Only one number is actually my number, the rest are old inactive numbers and I wouldn't be able to recover these accounts.

There should be at least an email or something be possible to add to the tonpoker account, that would at least make it possible to recover the account somehow, hopefully.

Its always good to have multiple recovery option. But TG itself uses mobile number sending code there to confirm account and that is their main feature. I think using mobile number to create account is far better than with email id as even if we lost our mobile we can always regain same number sim from telecom.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Monero survive exchange de-listings and low merchant adoption? on: May 14, 2024, 08:00:21 AM

I don't see it going down further, at least not with the excuse of exchanges delisting. I believe this was already priced in when Binance delisted it and the price fell close to $100 for a short time.

Before the Binance delisting, XMR's price in BTC was BTC0.0037 approximately. The lowest price in March was BTC0.0017. Now it's at BTC0.0021, despite several waves of bad news. I don't know if XMR will see 0.0037 again, but a price close to 0.003 seems possible, and that would mean the former price level in USD (160-170$).

And I agree with Hispo, XMR community is very strong. It could even be worth to observe its evolution for Bitcoiners afraid of further attacks against privacy, to know how a coin can be made resilient against these attacks. That doesn't mean that Bitcoin needs to incorporate things like ring signatures, which would be very difficult (and need a hard fork probably). What I mean is learn from XMR's decentralized service ecosystem.
Delisting is affecting XMR in terms of price for sure. Before it got delisted from bittrex, XMR's price in BTC was around 0.007 too. Main thing is it hadn't collapsed completely like other alts after such incidents showing there are strong community behind it supporting privacy. Now the question is, Is it enough for XMR to come back again strongly?
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Toncoin [TON] to outperform Bitcoin? on: May 14, 2024, 07:06:37 AM
It might seem other alts outperformed BTC in some point and for limited short time frame. But in reality BTC always wins in long run. Ups and downs come but BTC always bounce back hard while other alts can't bounce back after certain period of time. Thats the reality.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who's responsible for the dead coins? on: May 13, 2024, 06:06:22 PM
How can investors be responsible if a coin or token dies? Investors wouldn't keep investing or holding a coin or a token that doesn't carry any weight because the project is dying, they know it would keep losing value over time and it is much better if they dump their share and exit. No investor in the market would invest in a project that doesn't have a future, and that future can only be seen if the developers stay active and keep investors updated with their developments.

I have been a part of projects that died, and I know how investors react when they see no interest from developers and the team and receive no updates and other information about the roadmap and future developments of the project because they know they are going to lose money if the project dies.
Definitely dev team is responsible for the dead coins not the investors. Dev team must keep engaging with community and make their project interesting enough for investors to invest/hold. If one doesn't feel confidence about their investment, why would he keep holding. So as soon as he looses confidence, he just exits.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How high will altcoins fly? on: May 13, 2024, 05:41:19 PM
Are we gonna have one more chance to buy altcoins with low price ? What do you think about this

One more chance? In fact, we still have many opportunities to buy altcoins. Many predict that the bull run season will occur in 2025. Of course this is just speculation and everyone has their own opinion. I have personally accumulated several potential altcoins such as Manta and Hbar. Always do your own research and this is not financial advice from me.
We surely have more chance to buy altcoins now because their bull run has not started, Bitcoin halving has come and gone and the after effect is price dip, as of today Bitcoin price is $6.9k, so it's obvious that it's bull run has not started. Bitcoin bull season precedes altcoins bull season, and as neither has started, I still think that it's very safe to keep accumulating them, so yes, altcoins can still fly high. Although altcoins are not as reputable as Bitcoin in the crypto market, so carry out your research first before buying any of them, especially the new projects.
Just to correct BTC price as of today is around $63K not $6.9K. No one can tell how high alts can fly and specially which one will fly. All are speculative for now. But sure thing is alts season will definitely come. But Doing some research before investing is must. And patience is the key to success.

248  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: May 07, 2024, 06:27:19 PM
If KYC is must, I think they mustn't allow users play/use their casino until they fill their details and get accepted rather than let them deposit and play from the very beginning. It may be somewhere in TOS but letting them play/deposit but deny withdrawal asking KYC is totally unfair and somewhat scam/cheating. Then it will be like one way door. One can enter but can't exit.

-snip-
Of course, depositing with USDT allows users to avoid this problem. However, if you didn't pay attention to the conversion rate problem earlier, you can be sure that there will be more inattentive users who will make a deposit at such an unfavorable rate. In this case, it would make sense to remove all these deposit methods and keep only USDT until the problem is solved.

Although he said that the conversion rate will be fixed but I feel that he does not really care about players.
Professional operator will try to give the most comfortable ways for their players instead of suggesting players to go to exchange first.
I have to agree that it is better if all the other coins except USDT should be removed first, some players may not notice the conversion rate and make deposit then they will realize that what they send is reduced a lot because of the low conversion rate.
In a result, players will be disappointed and they may lose their interest to play for long term.
Yeah they must care their player/customer for their own casino reputation. Going to exchange and converting into usdt, just to play isn't sound convenient and professional. Converting crypto to its equivalent value in usd in realtime is must do thing for company goodwill. But as OP said they will disable other deposit & keep only USDT until problem will be solved, I hope they fix the problem ASAP & again open deposit many top cryptos with the feature of converting them into usd in realtime.

Yup as hugeblack  said you must gain trust first to offer such service. Otherwise why would one prefer newbie with couple of posts for these type of service. But that being said, every legit person have too start from this situation. So until you gain enough trust, you must put some amount in escrow.
254  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: May 02, 2024, 05:09:05 PM
1xbet is heavily promoted by streamers and other social media influencers in my country so I'm a bit flabbergasted that these people don't have the principle to decline their offer of promoting this scammer casino, I easily lose respect when streamers do this, yes it's money and we all need it but you still need to have some principles man.

Do you actually believe that streamers have their viewers in mind when choosing what to promote? What most of them care about most is the payment that they are going to receive from the site and since 1xbet is willing to pay more than the others those streamers tend to not reject their offer.
Exactly. Why would streamers think to simply research whether its legit or scam when they're getting paid just to promote. In my country too many streamers promote 1xbet and vlogger too start their video with 1xbet intro including exiting offer too.
255  Economy / Gambling / Re: TonPoker - Telegram Poker Room on: May 02, 2024, 04:46:56 PM
With all these new Telegram casinos popping out, I'm sure Telegram is making bank off of them or if not at least figuring out how to milk the industry.
To operate a casino on Telegram with all the features, they need a paid membership (premiums), which is already a means to generate income for Telegram because a normal Telegram user can't have up to the data limit they offer to premium users.

The rapid growth of telegram casinos I assume it is based on the demand of individuals. Inasmuch as Telegram has been known to be a place filled with spammers and scammers, there are still people who find it a safe place to interact, so bringing a casino to their doorstep is a way for the casino owners to draw an audience to their business.
So only premium users can operate casino means telegram also encourage/promote those things and may add many other features to attract more. But the plus point i think is anyone can access and play those without any restriction as other web based casino maybe geo restricted or government can ban those sites in their countries.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top altcoins are in trouble?? on: April 29, 2024, 05:49:08 PM
We can say they are performing below par. Or they're just limiting themselves now to explode once alt bull starts. What do you guys think when will alts rise again? Market goes up and down, thats the cycle but its been long since alts are down and haven't recovered as many expected.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are more people getting excited about memecoins? on: April 29, 2024, 05:22:48 PM
That's because memecoins are outperforming other coins in terms of price increments giving early investors massive profit. So people get so hyped soon after seeing new memecoin expecting the same. Also one don't have to invest big amount too but if it gets going one can yell "sky is limit" seeing their super profit. Obviously every trade have risk involved but one have to take risk if he wants to win too.

Don't know how much faster the process of getting back accounts nowadays. But it took me more than year back in 2018 after started the process of recovering my account. So just keep patience and provide them with what they asked for. And you can remind them after some months if progress haven't been made. So I hope you get your account back soon.
