β customer validation program launches for the “2.0 Catapult” mijin blockchain

http://mijin.io/en/1238.html

The exclusive validation test will take place before mijin’s public launch as open source

TOKYO – November 6, 2017 — Today Tech Bureau, a fintech and cryptocurrency solutions company, announced the start of its β customer validation program, in advance of the official launch of mijin’s blockchain open source “2.0 Catapult” software.

At present around the world, over 300 companies are leveraging mijin’s blockchain technology with both live and Proof of Concept (POC) systems running, as in September of 2015, tech Bureau set the stage for the technology’s wider use with its release of a private blockchain, mijin, that meets enterprise usage needs.

While the current version of mijin is being augmented to include enterprise cloud service as BaaS (Blockchain as a Service), the next generation blockchain technology “2.0 Catapult” mijin blockchain will be launched soon as an open source software after the launch of its β customer validation program today....

Deutsche Telekom (T-mobile) is having a Blockchain Hackathon (+ IOTA Presentation).

https://www.brand-design.telekom.com/hackathon/

The first Telekom Blockchain Hackathon brings you together with business representatives from our company and our partners. Take the opportunity to share your vision and shape the future of Blockchain. Create new ideas, prototype them, win up to 3.000€ and get the chance to realize them on a global market scale.

The current move is to bring Blockchain to professional applications and services, to be able to develop the technologies for a broader society and expose its possibilities. We asked our partners, some of the leading companies in these fields, to cooperate with us. And together with YOU we want to discover what is possible with Blockchain technology.

Therefore we invite you to join the Future Blockchain Hackathon at Deutsche Telekom to imagine, discover and develop new ideas and prototypes with us. A lot of different skills are required in each and every team - so everyone is invited - students as well as professionals.

Monero’s Multisignature Implementation Officially Enters Testing Phase

In the world of cryptocurrencies, it is somewhat surprising to see so few currencies benefiting from multisignature technology. Bitcoin has had this feature for as long as most people can remember. In the case of Monero, however, the developers had to start from scratch due to the very different infrastructure they are working with. This explains why this solution has been in development for so long. There is still no official mainnet release date at this time, though, as there is still a lot of work to be done in this regard.

To put things into perspective, some changes have been made to the Github repo for Monero’s multisig development. Until two days ago, they had the “DO NOT MERGE” tag associated with them. That indicated the developers were far from having a working product. All of a sudden, however, this tag was removed, which seems to indicate a lot of progress has been made. Moreover, Moneromoo – the person responsible for the multisig implementation – has asked the community on IRC to test and review this implementation in the near future.........

Bisq, the Decentralized Bitcoin Exchange

Chris Beams joins the show to talk about Bisq, the P2P decentralized Bitcoin exchange and open-source desktop application that allows you to buy and sell bitcoins in exchange for national currencies, or alternative crypto currencies. We get some background on the issues faced by crypto exchanges like CoinBase, and the now defunkt Mt. Gox. We discuss whether or not Bitcoin is a censorship resistant payment system and what it means to have anonymous transaction currency options. Bisq also has an interesting white paper about its own DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) to support its contributors and we discuss that in detail at the end of the episode.

Ethereum’s Casper Update On The Horizon: What You Need To Know
by William Peaster

Ethereum’s developers have announced the platform’s highly anticipated Casper update could be rolled out potentially as early as the next “Constantinople” hard-fork.

Casper will represent the initialization of Ethereum’s shift away from the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus protocol toward a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) protocol.

Importantly, the final rendtion of Casper isn’t finalized yet. ETH’s top developers are scrutinizing two renditions of Casper—what they’ve termed Casper CBC and Casper FFG.

For now, though, it looks like the devs are leaning toward the FFG version. As the Casper FFG whitepaper points out:

“Casper is a partial consensus mechanism combining proof-of-stake algorithm research and Byzantine fault-tolerant consensus theory.”

Essentially, then, the FFG version will be the “blueprint” that Ethereum follows in switching to PoS. Conversely, the CBC rendition will actually govern Ethereum’s consensus process once the PoS system is implemented.

When it comes down to it, the final edition of Casper will surely be inspired by the best parts of both Casper CBC and Casper FFG....

— Lucky Bee (@pechnikufa) October 27, 2017

This shift will allow “stakers” to secure the ETH network for annual profits by holding their coins in approved wallets as opposed to the current system in which miners are responsible for securing the network.

Seeing to it that Casper’s implemented smoothly will mark a milestone years in the coming for the team.

Indeed, the situation looks bright now, as ETH founder Vitalik Buterin’s saying everything’s mapped out nicely:

“It should be done … I would say very soon. The parts that aren’t done are fine details of the contract. The actual spec of the fork is not going to be particularly complex. It’s basically just increase the balance of a contract then change the fork choice rule by adding a couple function calls going into the Casper contract. If those details change, that would not affect anything of the client implementation by much.”

Among Groslcoin’s many wallet options, is the Samourai wallet. This hardware(you hold the keys) Android wallet, boasts it’s anonymity and security, as it allows for private stealth addresses with both TOR and VPN support, as well as onboard AES-256 encryption.

If you don’t care too much about anonymity, it’s other features may swoon you in it’s direction as well. the ability to set your own miner fee, and block explorer puts it above most other wallets in my book....

Here's a way to use ethereum smart contracts on top of iota network. You need evm-tools, basic usage is explained in guide.md, and iota.lib.js. I'll use a slightly modified version of the minimum viable token:...

Exciting Altcoin – Up 22% in 24 hours – Enjin (ENJ) – Revolutionizing the Gaming Industry

Ever played a game for hours, sometimes day to earn a rare game asset? Well, now there is a way to sell that asset using a digital currency called ENJ’s and earn actual real money (cryptocurrency converted to cash). Enjin allows you to buy and sell virtual goods between games in a digital marketplace. There are currently over 1,460,000 gamers ready to adopt ENJ and buy and sell digital assets.

This altcoin is rising even while a lot of others are falling. Most are falling because of the upcoming bitcoin fork. As users buy/sell virtual goods they will be consuming ENJ coins. This decreases the supply while increasing the demand for the coin, which in turn raises the price.

Enjin has a top notch development team as well as some heavy hitting advisors, including one of the Cofounders of Ethereum..........
