Currently the market sees bitcoin monopoly. If it started equally with other cryptos then it would be worth $10/coin..

There are not much known people who accept bitcoins to buy regular stuff but fiat is accepted by everyone.
So people think bitcoin only as investment.

Bitcoin is currently accepted by many deep-web people like hackers and cyber-criminals. Its also used by scammers a lot due to fact that payments are fully anonymous and irreversible.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone bought up all the existing bitcoins? on: September 03, 2014, 06:40:03 PM

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin To the Moon, A Global Strategy on: September 03, 2014, 06:37:37 PM
It won't matter how many people accept bitcoin. The real adoption begins when people start getting paid in bitcoin -and- buy things with bitcoin. People should really be pushing for this instead of Amazon, eBay, or countries to accept it...
Pretty much summarized everything. Unless people start getting paid in form of bitcoins, it won't be a grand success. The current bitcoin users are mainly the ones which have better knowledge of computers.
