Thanks for the answers.
So just to be clear, should I keep my coins or should I sell 50% of them in case the rumors of it dropping are true?
To be clear, you should sell all your coins to me at 100k I'll buy 50% of your coins for 101k

Rumors of what dropping? This is a rumor free zone here. Everything (proven by the tech demonstrated over the last few days) points to up.

using the new wallet I just need to put the old wallet.dat in the new folder? thanks
Correct. I think the new appdata folder changed to xcurrency though. [drive]:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\XCurrency\ Also, you might need to redownload the blockchain when setting this new client up so don't fret if your coins aren't there until the blockchain updates. yes thanks, I'm already syncing the wallet and then I'ill put my wallet in. It's a lot faster if you just move the blockchain from the old folder. Oh I thought about it, but I didnt try it. I'll do it right now then. Thanks I got an error when I tried that last night from the new client, had to delete old blk*.dat files and redownload the BC. All working well now... so you still might have to sync even after trying that.

Artooooo.. We shouldn't be Doing anything before at least a week prep time We should first have good discussions About ethics, then get arguments and information together. After that first observe The boxes and The people there.. Maybe then when new updates come out we can give it a first try and evaluate, learn and get maybe new people in
+1 Compleately Agree and this community is by the Way Fucking AMAZING!! Maybe a dossier or 'rules of xcurrency community'... as a foundation would be helpful. I know dogecoin could never get this together, but would have helped. Ex: 1. Be good to each other. 2. No FUD here or other forums. 3. Answer FUD with facts, not emotion. 4......

Finally able to test this new release. Sending distmix command to mp acct. Will let you know what I finds.
(MP doesn't respond as quickly as a normal wallet would so there will be a delay that's unnecessary in this test. )

hey there... getting weird error when trying to open app - 'can't open database file blkindex.dat' on the new wallet. I think I saw somewhere what argument to set your app data folder to. Can anyone help?

- transactions are processed over 30 minute windows
I thought that Dan got it to much, much quicker in the testing, no?

I'm curious about nodes also. If every wallet is an Xnode and every Xnode gets transaction fees for payments passed through it, wouldn't the smartest thing to do be to just run thousands of empty wallets and rake in fees?
I believe you need a certain amount of coins in the wallet to earn fees, but I could be mistaken. You're correct. Current balance needed for xnode is 550.

Looks like multipool is down again. I love doing this beta multipool with y'all, but I want to reiterate my point before that I hope this isn't taking resources away from things that are more important. It'd be easy enough to get coinking.io, or something like it, to do a promotion to do a XC only payout - I know they already have this capability and multipooling is their bally wick, plus would turn into a marketing opportunity. Again, if this isn't like taking Dan's or any other dev's time to sort out and administer, then let's hash away, if it is... pull the plug and transfer this over to someone who does this better.
Aaaaannnd we're back!

when is the EM news today? or is there EM news today? any idea ?
I'm still waiting for REV2, I think we should wait for the latest update first, some words fro one of the DEVs would be nice. EM is still due to become available for testing around the end of the week (which does not entail Friday BTW). We don't have to do any more work on the EM app before releasing it as far as I know. It should be ready to go. It'll be Rev 1.5 anon tech, plus EM. We'll merge Rev 2.0 with it once EM is tested and working as it should. rev 1.5 anon tech ? sooooo xnodes are coming back? From what I gathered. EM was implemented with the 1.5 branch. The EM release is just for testing EM feature. Once the EM features has been tested, it will be merged with the 2.0 multi-path codes. 1.5 anon tech is not coming back.... So you're saying I can no longer setup xnodes to rake in XCheddar? Wat...? Where did I mention anything like that? I am saying the dev said the test for EM is a completely separate thing from rev 2. The EM release is JUST for testing EM ONLY..... nothing else. Forgot to mention that, yup that release is only meant for testing em. So how much more than the 3.33%/year from staking could I potentially earn? Do I have to put any work like I would have to with a Darkcoin Masternode? Nope... wallet IS the xnode. Yield would be determined by network volume and your random selection of your node(s).

In the midst of buying XCurrency.com from the current owner... Let me know if you all want it later down the road
That sounds dangerous.

The Coin Control noob friendly guide is ready! If you have any suggestions/corrections etc, feel free to advise! It is created in XC official forum, but it should be available for everyone to read! That looks good.. for two reasons huh ? If anything is technically off or wrong I will fix and edit asap! ps: there are some forum loading problems right now for me I'd add a step for the user to backup wallet after encryption.

Already discussed. Nothing does stop you. Here XC behaves exactly as BTC, being 5 years open source heavy tested on the main net. So why XC, not BTC? I am honest to believe that anonymity is not prime feature of XC. But community is configured aggressive not just for criticism but for regard another main feature of XC. Fair question and one I'm sure the XC team will need to better define and compress into an elevator speech. I'm also pretty sure the team is flattered you're already drawing the comparison to BTC. I'm not sure I fully understand the superiority of the tech so I'll let others fill in, but I do know: no mining -> so that takes care of the pesky unnecessary power consumption POS -> so that makes holders interest, which is nice and helps offset 'some' volatility P2P -> So messaging and blockchain transfers don't need to go through any central node Multi Layered for Privacy -> I can't do a good job describing this, but this is a big deal for consumers here in the US

Just engaged a very old friend, he is working for ISIS now, LOL, unbelievable amazing job. They don't know XC but they actually take advantage of BTC to get support. The anon feature of XC is very attractive for them you know.
Careful what you say online FBI is gonna come blow up your doors and water board you for infos about "your old friend" Right now no one has privacy online until something revolutionary comes along.. Wonder what that may be?.. FBI means nothing for me. I'm not citizen of the states. I'm also not a ISIS supporter. LOL But XC might support these people who are fighting for freedom. Please don't.

Where source code rev2 never i hope I think it needs to be released. Is there any closed source in crypto? We don't want to be the first. Yes there is pretty much every anon coin, sorry decision has been made even old tech won't come out for a long time. Sorry my english, i'm want launch rev2 on Linux Ah! That'll be released shortly as per the IRC chat. I don't speak officially for the team, just something I saw on there and no definite timeline.
