Bump, and also for everyone safety, I was doing some trades on LocalCryptos, and a friends and family payment almost got charge backed out of my account as the PayPal account had been "hacked" into. PayPal say that I'm most likely going to be able to keep the money (but I haven't gotten it yet, it's been 5 or so days now)

what is the point of testnet coins here? testnet is moslty to test the new dev of the main network just like bitcoin main network with zero economic value.
What are you talking about?? The Bitcoin Testnet is literally used by developers to test what it would be like using the real Bitcoin main net, but without the consequences you would have from losing real Bitcoin.. From https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Testnet: "The testnet is an alternative Bitcoin block chain to be used for testing. Testnet coins are separate and distinct from actual bitcoins, and are never supposed to have any value. This allows application developers or bitcoin testers to experiment, without having to use real bitcoins or worrying about breaking the main bitcoin chain." OP is using the Bitcoin testnet for exactly what it was intended for. |

Why would I use something like your site when I can just use swaps built into wallets, such as the Exodus one:  Changelly ( https://changelly.com) also works really well for me (no KYC, less than 30 mins to complete) |

I got scammed on Facebook Marketplace about a month ago trying to buy a couple L3+ miners, still can't believe I was stupid enough to fall for it  I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy of Facebook Marketplace, in all honesty as far as I can tell now, the best place is from the manufacturers themselves. |

Unfortunately, some shitcoin managed to change this: There is a shitty/scammy ethereum ICO thing right now giving people shares in exchange for testnet btc, this is totally screwing up the usability of testnet and also causing antisocial dickwads to waste all our time begging for testnet coins without disclosing that the only thing they want them for is to make a quick buck. Wait, why would someone even want Bitcoin testnet coins?? It's not like they can sell them off? If I remember correctly some users offer this service, but considering your rank and reputability, it will be difficult to get a loan of testnet coin. It might be different if you offer collateral though. Take a look at the dev & technical discussion board or mining board (can't remember which one).
Or you can try regtest as mentioned above. There is no other choice since testnet coins are not free.
The whole point of Bitcoin testnet coins are them to be worth nothing so you can test with them. You shouldn't be able to sell them, I don' think that's the point. But yeah, it probably would be hard to get that amount of testnet coins, so what I would recommend is starting your own private BTC chain which isn't actually to hard, I've done a couple times myself. You can also use the standard bitcoind node and use the regtest mode (specially for creating your own private btc chain on demand, more info here: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/83740) Another option would be using Litecoin public testnet or something similar to bitcoin, but this would only be useful if you only need to use basic functions like sendtoaddress, estimatefee, getblock etc etc as they are pretty much identical. Just to be clear, you'll be using two " different" telegram accounts? - It'd be better if you could refrain from shifting the conversation to another platform [Telegram is a safe haven for scammers].Good spot actually, I do have two, but I just logged into local cryptos and swapped it around to @enzogla And yeah, would prefer to keep conversation away from Telegram, but I have dealt with trusted people on Telegram before perfectly fine. Have a look on eBay - I've had a dug around and there are plenty of currency bundles from Germany, Zimbabwe, and Venezuela.
Ironically though, given that everyone is trying to collect this stuff now, the prices of high notes can get quite absurd. E.g. I've seen $100 trillion notes being listed at more than $300 USD apiece and that seems to be the going market rate.
Definitely not a great buy imo. Just accept a slightly lower denomination (still in the billions/millions) and move on.
Just checked eBay, yeah the prices seem to be quite large haha. I also checked local cash currency exchanges here in NZ, and none that I could find could swap to any of those currencies  I'm talking to stackitup though, hopefully I can get some off him  |

Hello, i have many banknotes as collection, would be happy to sell them for btc will send you pictures tomorrow when i reach them It would be awesome if I can see the photos Is it also possible if you include your username in the photos? Knowing that some countries banknotes have become pretty much worthless (like the Bolivar), I'm curious to know if anyone is selling banknotes of them? It would be pretty cool if I could start collecting banknotes from around the world, and I guess buying them as collectors items with Bitcoin would be pretty cool  Are you looking only for very-inflationist banknotes or are you open to others? Mostly inflationist I think, but I wouldn’t mind others if you do have others I think a lot of the South American postal services are rated as one of the worst for theft and loss of items. They probably also have really strict border controls, but if you can get past those issues this is quite an interesting idea. I think a lot of people have similar collections (I've seen people with each note as they went down in value even more - eg starting at 10 Bolivar to 10 billion Bolivar or whatever the "equivelant" bank note is now. It'd be really interesting if you could find someone with a set of those with similar years on them too...
Do you think they would steal some almost worthless banknotes? |
