Hereby the link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5558099
Hope it might help somebody

Error 404 not found. You sure this is correct link?

seems it's corrupt, can't get it to work on Thingiverse, so hereby the other suggestion: https://www.printables.com/model/294423-apollo-miner-funnel-92mm-120mm

For me this link worked, so let me know.

~snip~
For the interested co-miners Smiley I've modified my 6 Apollo's with a 120mm Noctua fan and 3D-printed 90-120mm adapter.
I've also added a picture with the values for 1 month running(total ran 3 months with this setup up)
~snip~
If people are interested I can sent the 3D-file for the 90-120mm adapter.

These look good.

It would be great if you can upload the 3D files somewhere, like https://www.thingiverse.com for example. There are already some mounts for other miners there, so it would be awesome to have this one as well.

Do mind I added some pictures so you have a better idea, it does need a small cutting on the top. But with a steady hand and a Dremel it is easy peasy Wink

Ohhh, you need to modify the chassis? It would be great if the model somehow screwed into existing holes of Apollo without modifications. :/
This would definitely affect resale value, right?
Most probably, I was not planning to  Grin.
I preferred to cut the chassis, instead of narrowing the funnel in order to keep flow and reduce the risk of noises due to turbulence.
While I don't know how it performs with the funnel, I personally just placed a 120mm PC fan simply sitting on top of the miner (without modifications to the hole's size) and it already drastically reduced noise and heat.
So, if anyone wants to modify the 3D model, maybe attempt that before cutting your miners. Cheesy

Adapter file would be appreciated! As others suggested, you can upload on Thingiverse or Printables. If you get enough downloads on the latter page, you will get free filament, too. Wink

I'm a rooky on all this stuff, so Thingiverse first needs a 24hour after making an account Undecided
So I'll post it once ready.

Fyi, now with 1 merit you can become Jr. Member and post images. Just the typo is preventing your image to show up. Wink

thanks for letting me know, realy appreciated, this whole Mining world opened up a lot of new things for me Undecided

Good evening all,

1st of all I would like to thank the Futurebit-team for making it easy for nitwit's to start mining.

All running nicely and steady(I did had an issue with the 1st full node, but the new one just started downloading the chain)

For the interested co-miners Smiley I've modified my 6 Apollo's with a 120mm Noctua fan and 3D-printed 90-120mm adapter.
I've also added a picture with the values for 1 month running(total ran 3 months with this setup up)

Some might say I f-ed up the smooth design, but I care more for less noise (lower RPM's means less noise) as they are in my room. With this setup you can hardly hear them.

Units are currently on eco-mode for summer temperatures, but soon will increase again.

If people are interested I can sent the 3D-file for the 90-120mm adapter.

Hope this might help somebody if needed.

Hello,

Anybody using standard unit with Rpi 4? What OS is compatible with delivered code?

I have Rri4 with umber LN and BTC Node running and now I need to connect BTC standard unit.

trying to run standard unit software on Rpi 4 getting an error message below:

I am running a standalone on a RPi 4 and here are the steps that I went thru to get it running.

How to Install 64-Bit OS on RPi 4 (4Gb) and get FutureBit Apollo BTC Standalone miner working

Get 64-Bit Raspberry Pi Image
https://downloads.raspberrypi.org/raspios_arm64/images/
Image with Pi Imager
Have to use Custom Image option for now as 64-bit version is not listed.
Raspberry Pi Imager Tool (https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/ )

Boot RPi with new card
Perform normal settings (SSH, Wifi, password, etc.)
Optionally:  sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade to get all updates applied.

Download RPi software from:
https://github.com/jstefanop/Apollo-Miner-Binaries/releases/
Get the aarch64 files and download and expand to folder of your choice
These are the Apollo miner executable along with start/stop scripts
Scripts will need editing for the user’s pool information, otherwise your mining power will benefit someone else.

Install Prerequisites for Apollo Miner
Sudo apt-get install screen
Required for the Start_all script

Update Libstdc++ code
Append a line to file “/etc/apt/sources.list”
Type: Sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list to edit the file.
Add this line:    deb http://deb.debian.org/debian sid main
Ctrl-w, Ctrl-x to save and exit.
Then run
sudo apt update
sudo apt-get install --only-upgrade libstdc++6

Confirm your Standalone Apollo-BTC is visible:
ls /dev/ttyACM*
You should see this form of output for each attached standalone miner:  /dev/ttyACM0

Cd into your miner folder and type this to get started:
sudo ./start_apollo.sh
Or this if you have more than one unit:    sudo ./miner_start_all.sh

I documented this as I was going thru sorting out the issues that I had, but I think it will get you up and running..

Thanks for posting this thread, it got me up and running with a Pi. I had to set this up due to issues with my SSD drive.

The cmd "ls /dev/ttyACM*" shows all 3 units are connected and they start hashing(flashing red light and slowly warming up of the metal underplate).

ONLY thing is I can't see any fan control lines in the scripts. So as I felt the underplate of the miner warming up, I've switched them OFF and maybe somebody can verify IF the fan on the USB miner is controlled via the Raspberry script on the 3 different settings?

Hope somebody can help this script-nitwit, before I screw up my units.

Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone! So I just bought a 850W PSU to run my full node system on Turbo. But dont find the way to connect the system and turn it on. Anyone doing this already ? Thanks

I used the Scotch (b)locks on pin 4 and pin 5(block which normally goes onto the motherboard of the PC.
