1  Other / Beginners & Help / Teach me how on: January 14, 2023, 06:49:00 AM
How do you use this forum search engine properly? Occasionally you search for things and the result is not significant and you make a topic on it and you get it's been discussed a few times before, I guess someone needs to teach me how.
2  Other / Off-topic / Can Dns Servers leak data? Just want to be very careful on: January 12, 2023, 07:55:23 AM
Good day BTT Famz, is there any danger at all using DNS server on a android phone?

Smartphones of today comes with feature where you can change your DNS server and this help my phone to speed up when browsing.

I have to be careful with every changes I made, just in case, so I want to know if there are any history of hacks through DNS servers or even Data leaks.

The last is, how possible of leaking your recovery seed through the DNS server? Never heard of this but gotta be very careful.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips to Becoming a Successful Holder on: December 28, 2022, 05:22:04 AM
Get yourself a job or other business that pays you and keeps you busy, do not keep looking at your wallets everyday because the temptation is real, at one time you can get tired of holding if the assets aren't pumping when you wanted.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / All in the name of "we are sorry we got hacked" on: December 24, 2022, 04:23:34 PM
I noticed that new projects this day are not using bug bounty hunters to see how strong their security 🔐 is, it's not because they don't have the money, they raised millions and don't care..

It looks like getting hacked is a big excuse to rob people's money, they can easily blame it on hack and say 'we are sorry we get hacked' where as they pray for it or have it in mind to hacked themselves .

I read somewhere that some bugs bounty hunters find bug for few new projects that could have messed up the funds but the project team do not compensate them and ignore the bounty hunter. It's like saying ' who told you to find a bug?' .

It seems we need to take this seriously, any project that doesn't open door for legit hackers ( bug hunters ) to test-run their security or system and claim they are safuu are really not.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My 3060Ti build caused fire today on: August 12, 2022, 07:02:39 AM
Yikes, hope it's just the GPU that got burnt and not the other components.

I got lucky, the burnt GPU was partially burnt and it still works, and the GPU extender is the one that melted, cant handle the power draw I guess, this is a rig with 8 graphic cards using just 950-1000watts from the wall... Thanks for your replies @ everyone

I'm curious to know if there are good ways to tell the difference and what stops this from being an accident that could've happened with more expensive PSUs?

I'd guess cheaper parts have thinner cabling that can't handle the power going through them and maybe poor insulation/none in some areas of the wiring too.
Cables that comes with cheaper parts are too flexible compare to premium parts, try buying a PSU with Chinese names on it and a Corsair PSU you will see what I talking able, the flexible cable is what mostly cause fire or start melting.

Trying to safe pennies over quality will humble you few months or a year later when mining crypto, today I almost but down my house thank God I just went down to a store nearby, should have knew but I am sick with cough and catarrh so my nose is not working right.

Don't buy cheap risers
Don't buy cheap Pcie extender cables ( that's what I did ), in fact don't go cheap on your setup than buying cheap GPU, other parts are very important, that includes the power supply as well.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The future of crypto depends on multi chain on: August 11, 2022, 06:38:04 AM
There are still so many developers that don't understand how important multichain is, just because your project is on solana network doesn't mean everyone will want to use your project or play the game, there are few projects that I decide to let go because of their smart contract, I am a ERC 20 projects fan not solana or matic, make sure your project is available of every chains out there for easier adoption...

In the near future only multichain can bring all good projects together either in the payment field, layer 1 or gaming field, this is the definition of a fulfilled crypto future.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / What is it all about? on: May 10, 2022, 10:28:32 AM
I have been trying to figure this out, how does one create cold storage? Or do any crypto wallets have this cold storage? Why are most people advising others to go cold storage?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT could grow 35% by 2027 on: May 08, 2022, 12:41:34 PM
Maybe or maybe not, coins and tokens are certain to grow higher in future but not NFTs, Metaverse is far from completion for now but once it's complete the hype will be back, to me NFTs can easily fail and be ignored more than Metaverse in near future.

Winning a case in the court doesn't mean the accuser is clean, in some cases only God can be the judge on all our deeds in this world, courts? Hm lol many criminals got there and still walk away with no single blame on them.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to hold in peace on: April 07, 2022, 01:47:17 PM
Is it true that its wrong to hold coins for many years and never look back? Someone said coins can die in just two years, they can also lose demand and hype under a year, so how do one hold with zero worries?.
For you to avoid getting worries about your bought coins better delete all the price tracker you have, stop visiting cmc to check the price regularly and create separate wallet for your hodl coin so that you will forget about your holdings if you aim those for long term. But make sure save your private key offline or write it up on your notebook so that by the time you want to see how those coins go in future you can still open and easily dispose of the price pump.
So how will this holder know when crypto is already pumping? Imagine buying a token for 1$ each and a new ATH of 100$ happens but you don't know then a few days later the price goes down to 50$ and a few weeks later its back to 2.5$, its better to track 🐾  your portfolio.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I planned to keep my keys, good or stupid? on: April 07, 2022, 01:38:11 PM
How can you easily crave words on stainless steel? What tools did you use? Nails? Knife? Or what?.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / How I planned to keep my keys, good or stupid? on: April 06, 2022, 10:14:57 AM
Is this too much or not bad? I plan to keep my recovery keys in four separate locations, a brand new flash memory from Huawei, a brand new WD External hard drive, my book with a strong cover and my wardrobe, in my wardrobe you can't easily see it because its always dark in there, I use my torchlight to carve those words in there and its even written on the top inside the wardrobe, I tend to keep it this way for now till I can get a Nano X.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Paraswap io safe? on: April 05, 2022, 10:56:57 AM
Is it safe to use paraswap.io to buy tokens? I'm not sure because I dont want to get scammed in the process.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How to grow my wallet? on: April 01, 2022, 01:49:57 PM
Assuming I've made up my mind to hold on to a token for many years but after a year this token hit a new ATH what should I do as a newbie? Sell or not sell?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What if? on: March 31, 2022, 10:32:29 AM
No this won’t happen. They actually were thinking of switching to an algo called ProgPOW a few years back to get ASICs off the network and last minute it was cancelled. It was cancelled because the ASICs aren’t a 51% attack risk so they moved on.

If there are going to be issues with ETH going fully POS they will just revert to the old mining algo, I don’t think they will change it so ASICs get booted off the network.
Ok thanks for the reply, its just a thought though and I don't have any proof on what I posted I'm just guessing maybe my thought could happen, let's what to see what they actually decide to do, Pow or PoS its all good for me.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What if? on: March 30, 2022, 10:46:23 AM
Is it possible that ETH will release a new asic miner resistance if they later decide not to abandon the PoW algorithm? If this happens won't GPU mining be exceptionally profitable again?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Stay away from coinsbit on: March 28, 2022, 07:08:35 AM
Avoid Coinsbit exchange at all cost, this exchange sucks too bad that to pass KYC you need to send PM to their email address, also I withdraw ETH from the exchange and its been over 48hrs I never received my ETH, I wrote another PM to their email address but they claimed it's under processing, still got nothing, I'm mad at myself and sad at the same time I'm just trying to safe another victim.
