1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 11, 2023, 11:28:40 AM

I also agree with you. Although Chelsea are in no form, they still have the ability to beat West Ham. But on the other hand, West Ham have some players who can make things happen. The match will be quite good in that respect.
What I don't do since the beginning of this season os to underestimate any team, yes Chelsea is in better form than West ham united

but then we should not underestimate West ham united for any reason.

This season have been full of surprises right from the beginning of the season, so we can still witness a surprising result in the next few hours from now.
you are right, its not good to underestimate any team regardless of their position in the league west ham united also has a chance against chelsea today but they’ve never really being problem for chelsea. Chelsea are currently struggling even after spending so much this January transfer they have managed to get some decent players now and i believe injury was the major problem chelsea was facing but now with most of their players available if the coach will put everyone in place west ham shouldn’t be much of a problem. This is football and anything can happen but I’d still place my bet on chelsea to win today.
2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: February 11, 2023, 11:12:10 AM
Exchanges are not at all secure. We must avoid keeping money in exchanges, whether it is centralised or decentralized. These resemble a market where you can only transact. You run a very high danger of having your money or cryptocurrency stolen. So, absolutely, use them only as necessary. Additionally, as is always recommended, keep your money in offline or hardware wallets. If you don't, nobody will be able to stop you from losing your hard-earned money.

6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad advice can still be gotten from forum. on: February 10, 2023, 09:55:27 PM
People with in-depth understanding of the issue are typically the ones who react to questions. Think about technical support or discussion for Bitcoin. The majority of the posts in such sections receive a small number of responses since only individuals with in-depth technical understanding of Bitcoin can answer inquiries and provide their own understanding of the technology underlying Bitcoin.
Because everyone responding to you is educated about what you have requested or can elaborate further for you, I am confident in the reputation of the forum and believe that any information gained from it is firsthand information.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: The journey of Bitcoin. on: February 10, 2023, 08:43:46 PM
Anyone who invests in bitcoin will see great returns, and you should expect the price of bitcoin to soar if more investors start considering it as a long-term investment instrument. The equation is fairly straightforward the more scarce bitcoins are, the more valuable they become. Although Bitcoin has been around for a while, I'm not sure if everyone is aware of it because the majority of people have never heard of it before. You can decide whether to share it with them or ignore them in order to identify people who are enthusiastic about investing in bitcoin. If someone has no idea what they are investing in when they buy Bitcoin, you cannot force them to do so.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: In your country, today is money the real root of all evil? on: February 10, 2023, 08:21:23 PM
Money, in my opinion, is not the root of all evil, nor is love for it. Everyday people make the choice whether to be good or bad, whether to be honest or dishonest, whether to be scammers, thieves, or saints. They give in to their greed, their lust, their envy, and their jealousy. They allow it to drive their intentions and motivations. And before you know it, they destroy their own lives as a result of poor life choices and then blame it on money. This is not so. Money is not the root of all evil; people and their decisions are.
It's true that a person's love of money can have a detrimental impact on their decisions, but it all depends on how intense that love is. In my own nation, it's commonplace these days to witness people acting dishonestly for financial gain. Everyone wants to get money quickly and easily without having to work hard for it.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 12,000 in 2023. on: February 10, 2023, 07:42:55 PM
Instead of guessing, the possibility should be carefully assessed and estimated. It is currently quite difficult for Bitcoins to go below the price level of 20 000 USD, at least temporarily. While I can't speak for the latter half of 2023, the current strength of Bitcoins suggests that price will rise. In addition, the demand for the coin affects the price. If you look at the demand right now, it is really high, which is a strong indication that the price will rise soon.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: February 10, 2023, 07:37:59 PM
Since the year started with a good results by moving from $20k to $24k this year, show that the price of BTC and crypto will move higher to satisfy investors soon. Now that the month is moving faster and investors need to think faster so that they will not miss their reward at the end of the year. The price of BTC just drop down to $22k few days ago, which is another opportunity for those that missed last year not to invest in a stable coins to do it now because, the price of BTC will surely reach $80k before the end of this year 2023.
Are you sure investors will experience $80 this year?
Even while bitcoin is currently stabilizing against recovering from last year's correction, it is still too far to make the jump from $20k-$24k to $80k. The only thing that makes more sense is to keep the price below $50k and hope to reach ATH next year. However, to get to that jump, bitcoin must experience a gradual recovery, which means the price must be at a stable level.

I can't be sure of Tottenham to win against Leicester but I will still risk it and bet on them. First of all, their odd for the win is pretty attracting, 2.10.

However Leicester can be a really unpredictable team as well. For example after a bad run they got a win again previously. And it was a really solid win against a tough opponent in an away game. This means they will have a quite improved level of morale against Tottenham. Leicester are still unable to solve their defensive issues though which can be a chance for Tottenham to benefit from. Especially Kane will be their biggest card in this game as usual.
a very tough and interesting match it will be, tottenham have had a very decent game lately and leicester have also had a good game as well, leicester was able to manage a draw against brighton a very stubborn side who are currently doing well and also won against aston villa so I’m certain they will be able to put up a good fight against spurs at home. Tottenham have come out victorious in their last five meetings so they are probably the best to win. Winning last match was a boost for leicester and will surely improve their confidence. I’m placing my bet on a draw

13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Tips For Newbie Traders on: February 10, 2023, 03:52:27 PM
I am yet to start trading crypto currency but i have a few knowledge about it, i watch videos online and i learn from a very close friend of mine. Sometimes he tells me Cryto can be terrible at times and you're not sure what to do next and this usually happens when you're working in a trade that you think you already know how to do well. To be completely honest, there will be times when you want to give up when things don't go as to plan. Observing oneself lose money you've already committed to trading is not enjoyable. However, what keeps you going is the resolve of your prepared mindset to handle any trading-related outcomes.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why hoard your knowledge about a subject. on: February 10, 2023, 03:23:31 PM
There are many reasons to be sincere, but in my opinion, some people may decide to conceal their information in order to get an advantage over rivals. The other explanation is that they might not feel enough secure in their views or information, which would cause them to keep it to themselves. In the case of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, some individuals may opt to keep their information to themselves in order to safeguard their assets safe or the manner they obtain their assets may be utilized longer while still few people understood it.
Its all best known to each individual why they feel they shouldn’t share their knowledge with others.
15  Local / India / Re: Does cryptocurrency have a future on: February 10, 2023, 12:23:26 PM
My advice is to never sell anything of value, physical property or even end up borrowing money to invest in cryptocurrency. Cryto is risky just as much as it can benefit you so it is never safe to be in a haste to invest because you see people making money from it. Invest with the money you feel you can afford to loose. Remember investing in bitcoin is much safer and offers less risk than investing in alt coins.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't imitate others; do what works for you. on: February 08, 2023, 03:38:06 PM
It is normal to feel good, motivated, and inspired when people share their success stories about what they did to achieve success, but what's bad is trying to imitate them because you think you can achieve quick success in the same way. Everybody has what they are good at and what works for them because they have devoted time and years to making themselves better and acquiring the best knowledge, skill, and profession that have made them excel at what they do.

It is good to be self-reliant, study yourself, know what you are good at, and improve yourself in that area. Everyone who is successful in business has sacrificed time and spent years building themselves and their businesses. Anyone who is successful in Bitcoin (crypto) has spent time learning, studying, and acquiring more knowledge about it. keeping themselves updated with revolutions and frequent adjustment to improve themselves and achieve success in Bitcoin investment.

I know of a successful pharmacist in my area who owns a big pharmacy. All of a sudden, he decided to go into politics and contest for a political position because of his friend, who was an ex-president that he could attain a lot of wealth when it was still his tenure. So unfortunate for the pharmacist; he used all his savings, mortgaged his shop, and used all the funds to run his campaign, but luck ran against him as he lost the election. After which, he started from scratch again.

The guy imitated his friend, thinking he could win and acquire more wealth than he had, but he was wrong. He was really doing well in his field; some of his other friends convinced him not to contest because he had no concrete knowledge about politics, but he refused to listen.

I think it's good to do what works best for you and not to imitate others. just my opinion, though.

Regarding the man, I'll only remark that he didn't take the time to make a plan. He presumably assumed that because he has the resources, he could quickly leap into a new trade and overlooked the fact that it's challenging for many others.

Some people have followed in the footsteps of others and succeeded in life. it should be mentioned that you should never let your imitations be your end point. The point where most people are is in their desire to merely resemble those they are copying. If you're trying to emulate someone, you should strive to be better than them rather than to be on par with them.
17  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The State of Nigeria education. on: February 08, 2023, 03:27:21 PM
The current state of Nigeria education is very alarming. The educational sector needs revamp, the system is messed up, decaying and backward in every aspect. ASUU threatening strike, government yet to meet up with ASUU negotiation, no teachers and lecturer promotion for years, no salary increment. How do they want the teachers and lecturers to be comfortable teaching. Check out the last strike took almost 1year before it was called off. Reason the delay, time and frustration meted on students which is not proper hence students finding their way abroad to study making Nigeria to loose both manpower and resources to other nations of the world. And another thing is this, after finishing your higher education, getting a job is another prayer point waiting for answers. May God help us in this country.
The educational system in Nigeria is wholly dysfunctional, and I keep blaming our leaders because they have taken advantage of the underprivileged while their children are abroad enjoying the good and well-organized governments of other nations while their fathers the people we refer to as our leaders—are here laughing at the expense of the underprivileged who will never have the opportunity to study abroad. Do you not recognize how they are all making investments in themselves?
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin My Best Chrismas Gift on: February 08, 2023, 03:20:27 PM
So I decided to put some smiles on my face this season by buying Bitcoin as a Christmas gift for myself.
yesterday I and my friend/colleagues went to a shopping market for some Christmas shopping we were 6 in number and we all went to the market after receiving our Christmas bonuses from work.

My colleagues bought some fine shoes and other expensive items/ wears for themselves and every one of them was expecting me to do some picking myself because we all agreed to go on group shopping but on our way to the market I already have a rethink and a change of mind.

I decided to spend my money buying myself some Christmas gifts which is Bitcoin instead of buying some expensive clothes or shoes I decide to carry the digital BTC  in my wallet, instead of wearing shit that will soon get worn out.
By investing money to improve your financial situation rather than using it to buy ineffective products, you made a wise choice. Although having a beautiful appearance is important, investing money should always come first in life. You can give yourself the best Christmas present ever with this. The reason your friends opt to purchase clothing and footwear is because they are unable to manage the risk associated with bitcoin. However, over time, as your investment grows profitable, it may encourage them to learn more about bitcoin and to comprehend its risks.
19  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Dear Nigerian youths dont let politicians use you as a tool for violence on: February 08, 2023, 02:35:34 PM
Since independence violence has been a frequent practice and nearly every general election held in Nigeria has been affected by violence.
My mother used to tell me stories of how people are fighting and killing themselves, so ever since I was a young child when an election is approaching i always had this fear.
A lot of bad things happen during election which results to loss of lives and properties.

My people! As Election day is quickly approaching with only a few days left. I've heard reports and seen evidence in my community of politicians using some young people as weapons of violence. Let everyone know that no matter what we do, our lives are much more valuable than the meager sums of money we are given to use as justification for violence against others.
Let everyone know that voting is about exercising one's freedom to choose their candidates, not battling someone else because they did not vote for their preferred candidate. Please let know our point of view can never be the same, with that I don't see any reason why we should let politicians use us as a tool of violence.

Please i urge my fellow youths to refrain from letting any politician take advantage of us and we should turn out in large numbers on election days to cast our votes for the betterment of this country. As we all pray for free and fair election may we all witness it. Amen
