If you said "I would refuse any offer", you're lying.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in tv show -The Good Wife - Episode 3.13 - Finding Mr. Bitcoin on: January 16, 2012, 03:20:01 PM
Can you ridiculous autistics stop complaining about the ip address being wrong?  That's the kind of shit that causes SA to create a 600 page thread about you.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in tv show -The Good Wife - Episode 3.13 - Finding Mr. Bitcoin on: January 16, 2012, 06:47:55 AM
I thought the episode was excellent.

BUT from my perspective, this show, and every other mass market publicity for bitcoin is a double-edged sword.  On one hand, it will cause thousands of people to Google bitcoin and learn more about it, thus helping the economy grow.  On the other hand, some of those people will find these forums when they Google, and see what a load of pedantic aspergians we have around here, and it will frighten them away.  Speaking of, does Atlas still post?

107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the point? on: November 23, 2011, 09:32:50 PM
A man from Belarus, one of the most repressive and totalitarian regimes in Europe, just moved thousands of dollars to his family in Long Beach without fees or government involvement.  Before, he had to strap cash to his body, $10k at a time and hope some corrupt customs official didn't "confiscate" it.

In short, bitcoin exists outside of your petty money-making schemes.  Go trade the pink sheets if you want to "invest" in something.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gold-plated Bitcoin bearer bar on: November 05, 2011, 03:56:20 AM
Is it actual gold plating, or "gold" plating?  Will it tarnish like your first series coins tend to?
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin dollar bill on: October 11, 2011, 04:08:51 PM
Get that fucking theocrat Guy Fawkes off of them and we'll talk.  Otherwise, you look like a fool.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Project Mainstream - So we got Bitcoin on Alex Jones. [Link Inside] on: October 11, 2011, 04:00:56 PM
In what universe is Alex Jones thought of as mainstream?
111  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing Bitbills! on: September 07, 2011, 07:41:31 PM
I'm pretty sure these guys ran away with our money.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitbills used mybitcoin. on: September 07, 2011, 07:42:43 AM
So I assume that everyone who ordered a bank card and/or bitbills before August should just write off their order and consider those coins lost?  Bitbills isn't responding to emails and doesn't appear to be filling orders.

Chalk up another failed/corrupt bitcoin business.
113  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing Bitbills! on: July 29, 2011, 08:33:47 PM
How long is the wait for brass bitbill bank cards right now?
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Price stability, difficulty changes, fairness. infnite coins is NOT inflation on: July 28, 2011, 07:54:43 AM
Every bitcoin-like currency that is created from the pure jealousy late-comers have of "early adopters" will fail.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, how many of you were hoping the price would fall off a cliff? on: June 27, 2011, 09:05:39 AM
The majority of people trading at mtgox aren't on the forums or reddit and don't care about all the FUD spread around these parts.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of bitcoins do you think are male owned? on: June 27, 2011, 04:08:46 AM
Male owned vs. female owned?

Odd question.  I take it you're female?

118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Useless Because It's Too Easy Too Get Robbed on: June 25, 2011, 08:23:27 PM
Step one to being taken seriously on the bitcoin forums: Don't use "BTC Economist" as your username!
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Useless Because It's Too Easy Too Get Robbed on: June 25, 2011, 07:28:27 PM
This isn't a question of "wallet security", it's a problem of transaction fraud.

If you're too squeamish to use it, don't.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Useless Because It's Too Easy Too Get Robbed on: June 25, 2011, 07:25:24 PM
This is the fundamental problem with the ANY currency and why I am expecting a near-term price of "I have no fucking idea what I'm talking about."

fixed
