Probably mine.

The trolling and vandalism has gotten out of control. 95% of this would disappear if these were paid forums, even a very small amount like 0.1 BTC. It's only going to get worse.
Thoughts?

This seems neat. Better than the 3+ days it takes to move dollars via Dwolla into Mt GOX. Instant dwolla transfer ftw
Instant is probably a relative term. I've had a Dwolla deposit pending for more than an hour, so it doesn't appear to be automated.

These threads should be bannable offenses.

Getting Dwolla and BTC into the account is a little convoluted, but I'll give them a chance with some small test transactions.

Forgive me for not knowing this, but how does one transfer mtgox$ between mtgox accounts?

how long does it take for a USB drive to degrade?
If you bury it in the yard like some of these guys suggest, not very long.

What's with such hostility? It's one thing to think bitcoin is an unworthy project, but to actually want it to be "stomped out of existence" really crosses the line.
Honestly, a whole bunch of Aspergian basement-dweller types are really really upset about this because 1) They didn't think of it or 2) They just found out about it. Faux rage is strong with Internet males who feel left out.

Well, if that is the only thing it relies on then that is not much actually, because Bitcoin has no demand, no ventors, etc, compared to gold or traditional currencies. What is Bitcoin then more than a Ponzi scheme?
It's always a Ponzi scheme to people who heard about it last week. Bitcoin will hit critical mass whether you or whatever "humor" forum you came from think it's a scam or not. No currency had demand or usefulness before it existed, and to most people in the world, bitcoin simply does not exist yet. We will remedy that situation shortly.

how do you guys have so many?
Mined half, bought the other half. Started late last year.

Why pay taxes to a country that uses it to murder ppl around the globe under the guise of protecting your freedoms?
I specifically wrote on the back of my tax return last year, "plz no murdering, k thx!" It's all good now.

I will report the bitcoin sales as a capital gain on my tax return, but since I will just use it to offset carried-over capital loss, it won't have a material impact on what I pay. I have no problem with this.

Iceland also has one of the highest rates of Internet penetration (percentage of the population having an Internet connection), possibly even the highest. So there would be no technical barrier.

Do you sell Ciprofloxacin?

I don't see much pumping other than within the bitcoin community where it isn't required. The rest, including many large forums, are all pretty much trashing bitcoin. It's also quite difficult for the layman to buy bitcoin, so you have to be really committed if you want some. That doesn't lend itself to people making impulse buys because of media hype.

I vote for Iceland!
This is actually a good idea. Iceland is a very short flight from North America and a really cool place to visit. Plus, they're probably in the mood to talk about alternatives to traditional banking.
