Does any one have idea about facebook's crypto currency Libra? How does it work? My question specifically is for the Pakistani users since other crypto currencies are technically illegal would this Libra currency be any useful? If it's coming from facebook Pakistan government won't ban it that easily.
Also as per my understanding Libra currency is not like other crypto currencies where its tied to fiat and valued against fiat for example 1BTC~$10,000. This will not be the case with Libra. Keeping this in mind did any one tried or thought of any useful applications of Libra in Pakistan market?

I don't think this is going to happen. Maybe Facebook has such ambitious but it's not very likely . Although it's promoted like safe and and secure coin backed up with some real money and real money transactions I don't think this is enough for success and enough to attract users. So far Bitcoin isn't in any danger and I don't think this is going to change. The purpose/ use case of this coin is really different from bitcoin. Libra coin is going to be centralized, maybe this thing affects its popularity. |

Will Libra be able to replace Bitcoin? I believe it won't. So, I don't think we should ask the question in OP, because both Facebook and its coins, Libra are worse than bitcointalk.org, and Bitcoin, respectively. Facebook platform also does not have good systems to control their quality of their community posts. Actually, they have reports but such things are not enough for huge platform like Facebook. Reporters should have rewards from their good reports.
I believe Yes! This coin will be a game changer. As it is backed up a few big companies like PP, Master card and Coinbase etc. Also, more than 2.2 Billion people who are using Social media will be using it, It surely going to take down bitcoin. |

Even if the crypto is not legalized or no work is being done on it for its adoption in Pakistan by the government, the good thing is that no one is also not thinking negative about it and there is no planing to ban it. I am sure government will not be quick in its adoption so it is better that they remain ignorant and the individuals like us can benefit from it, without the fear of any bans etc. Bhai bhai bhai, kis nay kaha ban nai ha?
