There have been several merit sources take extended breaks from the forum in recent months, resulting in the actual merit from merit sources decreasing. It may be a good time to do another recalculation of sMerit that each merit source has and consider adding additional sources. There are still many pending applicants in line before my application, Don't know how it works, does he choose them randomly or based on the user's merits distribution activities. But still hoping a reshuffling and addition of new applicants as soon as possible. |

Most of the bounty managers defend themselves with a disclaimer that they are not responsible for any delay in the payment because bounty team is in the control of distribution not the managers itself. So you can't accuse any manager if bounty team refuses to pay.
And this is common that even legit bounty takes 6 months or even a year to distribute the tokens after they list their tokens on any exchange.
Recently I have encountered another MAJOR issue for delaying the bounties which are ETH Gass fees. This is WAY WAY TOO HIGH since ICO/IEO/private sale or public sale or whatever they call it these days usually do not raises much but since they have launched the bounties/airdrop where they usually receive 5-10k participants, So sending tokens to these guys would cost them $5k+ in transaction FEES, So they usually delay the distribution so to avoid such outrageous fees. In my opinion, this could be prevented 1. Client should mention beforehand In the bounty thread that there might be a possibility that they'll distribute the tokens when the gas fees will be less. 2. Post beforehand that IF hunters want tokens before the distribution date, can pay the transaction fees, and get their tokens. |

Bad news from Ledger (again). Now, we have new information to share: on December 23rd, 2020 we received a notification from our e-commerce service provider, Shopify, regarding an incident involving merchant data in which rogue member(s) of their support team obtained customer transactional records, including Ledger’s. The agent(s) illegally exported customer transactional records in April and June 2020. According to Shopify, this is related to the incident reported September 2020, which concerns more than 200 merchants, but until December 21st, 2020, Shopify had not discovered that Ledger was also targeted in this attack. Shopify tells us they engaged digital forensics experts and counsel to continue their investigation on the matter and have reported the matter to law enforcement in both Canada and the USA.
Along with forensic firm Orange Cyberdefense we were able to establish that it affects approximately 292,000 customers. While the database is 93% similar to those exposed in the previous attack there were approximately 20,000 new customer records including, email, name, postal address, product(s) ordered and phone number included in this breach. If you’re among those who slipped through for the first time, check your emails because Ledger has sent a notification to all new winners who will start receiving phishing messages and be at risk of physical assault. I have received an email today, That I'm from one of those unfortunates, whose data has been leaked.  |
