as we approach zero hour, i'd like to remind anyone who thinks this is a scam or wants out; that they can offload their ICO coins to me or others on the ANN. send pm for details.
You *should* be able to send and receive Viacoins using Vialectrum. thanks Drak. can you comment on what "unverified" means (in Vialectrum). i'm sure many are wondering.

I was asked by PM to handle the escrow for this IPO. The escrow address: 1CiNuCgeZZLiXm9WfKwuwm1yiDRgXwKGnU The coin owner will be handling the spreadsheet for all IPO investors and will then be handed over to me to distribute the ESC to all IPO investors. My escrow thread can be viewed here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133985.0i'm just curious, why are the coins being swept from the deposit address?

Thanks everyone. Great community. Up and running with Browser Wallet. Do I need to keep Java window open or may I close out Java window? Thanks again. Regards to all.
keep java window open.

from this blog post: http://blog.viacoin.org/2014/07/14/network-launch-update.html However, before we can release the full node client software (which allows the network to be mined), we need to distribute the presale coins and create checkpoints to secure the network. During this process the network must remain private which is why we have not yet published the Viacoin source code (which will be done on public launch).yes, it appears some coins are moving to the ICO addresses, but that's only part of it. stay patient. this dev is being smart, and not rushing to make the network live. watch this ANN and the blog for updates.

Thanks for the help. I have downloaded Java on my computer. I read you must have Java to run Browser Wallet. Should I be extracting the "Run" Windows batch File from the Downloaded Zip file, This loads me into FIM NRS command screen?
its pretty simple on windows. here are the steps: 1) download the latest wallet from https://github.com/fimkrypto/fimk/releases2) when the download is complete, extract the zip file - you will then have a folder called "fim-0.2.2" 3) open the folder and double click on the file called "run" (it may show as "run" or "run.bat") 4) a java window will open and execute. wait a few moments until you see it say "FIM server started successfully." leave this java process open and running. 5) open a browser and go to address: "localhost:7886" 6) log in with your passphrase and you should be good to go. remember you will have to wait for the blockchain to download before your wallet shows accurate data

hey guys...
so is this crazy climb manipulation? i have not been around XMR long enough to have a sense of its movements. this seems like too much too fast, and seems fishy.
i own some, and i want more. but i dont want to panic buy.

Polionex updates their logo and XMR takes off. Coincidence?

Since there is no active exchange at the moment, I would be willing to sell small amounts of FIM to any newbies who want to get started.
PM me for details. Small trades only.
EDIT: price would be 0.00000325, which was the last trade at DGEX

+ 1 with moderated. but only clear fud attempts not backed by any serious questions or its clear they have not looked into the project.
yes, this seems like the right move

odd how the devs have been totally silent...
no mining - no updates - just an empty wallet where a bunch of coins were purchased and no distributions yet...
things that make you go hmmmmm....
are you prepared to make an apology when the dev continues to give updates and the coin turns out not to me a scam? hmmmmm

Speculations on what the price will be once it hits bittrex?
So if you take a look at http://coinmarketcap.com/ and look at some of those coins and compare them using volume and [potential] (for us) success, then you can estimate around a $3 million dollar marketcap if this coin delivers, seeing as how FTC, URO, and REDD are where they are. In that case, $3 miillion converts to around 4790 BTC. With 10 million VIA in circulation at the start, we can divide out total marketcap by the number coins to see the value of each coin: 4790/10000000 = 0.000479 (47.9k satoshi starting price). Hope this helps, but remember, these are my arbitrarily placed numbers, not actual ones a fair analysis and its totally fine to talk about trading / price. BUT i hope that we don't focus too much on that. if you've done your research you'll know that this is more than just a clone to get on an exchange and try to make a quick profit from. if you are interested in turning your investment into really great returns, consider holding for a long time, and don't focus on the exchanges too much. i think where we can be in a year is a heck of lot more exciting to talk about than where will be in a week.

what about renting (cloud mining). are they scams?

Now, if the BTC all goes into a fund for futured development, I guess it's not as much a big deal. however, I don't recall him saying anything about what happens to the investment BTC excepet that it goes into his pocket. $360,000 is no small amount of money.
there's already enough FUD here. why assume the worst like this? VIA is ambitious and will require a lot of development (which costs money).

i get the sense that there is a great core group here intending to hold VIA long term. that's pretty cool. it's day 1, sure, but you get the sense that VIA has a real chance. so to me it's a relatively precious thing and i hate to see the wasted time and energy (particularly Drak's) dealing with people who are here to just cause problems. i guess we can take a wait and see approach. i don't hold out much hope that suddenly the trolls are going to get bored.
