Muslims,  Traditionalists and Christians,  whenever you put Religion over Humanity,  then, you will be seen as a lousy fool and He-goat myself.

As Africans, we should be proud of our roots by spending quality time self educating ourselves about our roots. From time, Africans have always been Traditionalists until Europeans invaded Africa.

4  Economy / Economics / How to reduce the price of goods on: September 19, 2023, 07:54:14 PM
I have been thinking and trying to analyze what is really causing the high cost of food in Nigeria, I came to realize that monopoly is the major factors, Nigeria government are the enablers. How can one person be the sole major distributor, government should welcome competition in the business sector, every business person should be allowed to produce.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes Bitcoins valuable? on: August 24, 2023, 06:06:53 PM
2. Bitcoin is decentralized
One of the reasons Bitcoin holds value, and should always hold value, is because there is no single government that can get involved and print more BTC or mess with it’s price.
(....)
Among the list, I most agree here because Bitcoin is a decentralized currency which means no one can control it even the government or any institutions, that's how Bitcoin is being unique.
And it is also attractive to investors because of being decentralized, which can lead to no manipulation will happen and Bitcoin will be more transparent, just like when you are using it in your daily life as a payment method.

Bitcoin is eventually a digital store of value because ;

1.Bitcoin is decentralized
Bitcoin is not concentrated on just an organization or company ,it doesn't necessarily need any rules to be guided with.

2.Bitcoin is secure
It is very safe buying and selling Bitcoin ,even for investments one's profit is guaranteed and sure .

3.Bitcoin has limited supply
Bitcoin in it's scarcity adds value to itself.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: take advantage of opportunities on: August 24, 2023, 11:13:01 AM
When you posted this, bitcoin was at $26500. One of the best way to overcome the panic is to DCA. People may not necessary buy all the bitcoin they want to buy at once, they can continue to DCA weekly.

Just as they say opportunity comes but once,it is necessary to take advantage of any given opportunity at all times.
Getting to know that Bitcoin market price rises and falls I grabbed the opportunity of buying andselling my Bitcoin at a high price and also invest from the current market where profit can be earned .
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you go about realizing gains? If you opt not to, what is your reason? on: August 23, 2023, 09:57:51 AM
I don't know about others, but if the market turns around now, which I believe will definitely happen in times to come, I will sell the bitcoin that I bought during this unexpected bearish market. Those bitcoins are not for long-term holding, and the purpose of buying them was to realize a fear profit when the market turns around. I just wanted to be part of the people keeping the buying circle alive, even though my purchase was a small unit.

So taking profit will happen if I can see bitcoin back again in the range of $30,000+, as it will give me little profit added to the initial purpose I had when the price was at $26k+. It's only those who don't care about a shot and a few profits that will make any sales even if the price turns around today, as their main purpose is to accumulate as much as they can at every given opportunity, maybe until the market hits a new ATH. That's what could finally move them to sell off some of their holdings and record profits.
[/quote

Realizing gains typically involves selling your investments when their value has increased.its all about selling your investments when their value has gone up.
If a market happens to turn around today I'll definitely want to sell my Bitcoin,if I happen not to sell them it's simply because I believe in long -term investments.whereas m supposed to sell them when the market turns around so I can realize my gain.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream is coming close. on: August 23, 2023, 02:24:18 AM
Every drop in the price is an opportunity to buy more at a cheap price, unless the price drops below $15,000, which represents the long-term bottom. The people who are annoyed by the price drop are the same ones who buy when the price is above $100,000 and come to regret that the price has collapsed. They buy with the green candles and sell at the red candles.

Coming close? you can post your Bitcoin address and sign a message from it.
we need to read previous topics to believe the stories, what a shame.

I have learnt so much about Bitcoin and I came to understand that owning even one  Bitcoin is a great privilege .
No matter the rising and falling of prices it is better to hold onto a bitcoin.self discipline matters a lot and it aids  huge benefits, though it's difficult to hold onto a Bitcoin especially when the market price is not stable.
M on my way to holding a Bitcoin,my dream is coming true.
9  Economy / Goods / Re: Protection is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: August 21, 2023, 11:53:26 AM
Nitpick: Prevention is better than a cure.

Prevention is indeed better than cure.its always more effective and efficient to take proactive measures to prevent problems before they arise, rather than dealing with the consequences later.
Taking preventive actions can save us a lot from time, efforts, and resources in the long run.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Deflation on: August 21, 2023, 10:45:41 AM
Consumer electronics prices fall all the time, and this is good.  Why is it somehow bad that homes become cheaper?  Bad for the speculators on the long end, sure, but everyone else?  I think not.

Home prices have fallen to reflect economic reality.  They're not arbitrary numbers, and shouldn't be manipulated as though they were.

Good for the people that sat on their cash instead of using it to further fuel the housing bubble.

Good for all speculators who make the right call.  %^&* speculators who think that anybody but themselves should pay for their bets that go wrong.  %^*& politicians and central bankers whose interventions fuel speculative bubbles.  Too bad for regular consumers that buy into inflated markets.  That's about all you can say, and anything else is just bad economics, IMHO.

Oh, and no, a bitcoin windfall is not why I'm here.  I think most people who promote sound money do it because they really do care.

Deflation can have both positive and negative impacts on the economy.it can lead to the falling or lower prices of goods and services for consumers.
It can also discourage investments and unnecessary spendings,it is very important for policymakers to carefully manage deflation to maintain a balanced economy.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the effect of having plenty children to the national economy of a country on: August 21, 2023, 10:33:59 AM
Is there an effect both positive or negative to the county's economy when couples have plenty children?

In the past before the current economic era, around the 15th century and the beginning of the French industrial revolution, having many children was seen as fertility and good for both the family work force and country's also. The labour force was majorly manual and those who worked at the plantations were sort after as able bodied men or women.

But at the moment, what is the viability of having many children especially as it could reduce the per capital income.

Having plenty of children can have both positive and negative effects on the national economy of a country.

On one hand,a larger population can contribute to a larger work force and potential economic growth.
On the other hand,it can also strain resources and lead to higher dependency ratios.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: August 20, 2023, 06:37:08 PM
It is really annoying to fall short of funds when allocating the budget to our needs.  This list are helpful in guiding one on how to keep our expenses on tab and avoid the frustration of falling short of funds even though we always try to look for extra funds to fill our needs.

Setting the budget and knowing the reason why we always have shortage is a good way to troubleshoot our financing activitives.

In other to avoid overspending and maintain discipline,it is necessary for one to create a budget plan and put it on a scale of preference so as to be able to track expenses and prioritize needs over wants.
One can be put to self control of spending unnecessarily with this process... setting financial goals can also enhance better money management.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Am I a bad person if I manage to avoid taxes? (Hypothetical question) on: August 20, 2023, 06:06:09 PM

It must be a dilemma for all since we have been taxed over and over. I feel the same way too but because I'm an employee and my employer already is deducting those taxes from my pay, there is nothing else to do.

So, my legitimate question is, after all the robbery, a person, who doesn't pay taxes, is a bad person for the society or not? More likely I want to get answer from those whose countries have a model similar of European healthcare and employment insurance.

In the eyes of the government, everybody has to contribute. Kind of unfair sometimes with the redundant taxes but that's our duty to our government as we do benefit thru the health cards and infrastructures they built for us to use.

Avoiding  taxes can tag one as a bad person for the reason that it is illegal to do that and can have serious consequences.

In as much as the economy is not stable and depending on one's salaries to pay taxes it's important to fulfill our civic duties and contribute to the economic growth of the society.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of Farming. on: August 11, 2023, 06:22:58 PM
Land is becoming lesser and not very available for agriculture as before, There is a lot of Urbanization going on and many land space are being built on to carter for the increasing number of persons. There will be lesser organic foods available for consumption as the worlds population increase and farming space reduces. Because of this, there now has to be an improvement in farming methods and I personally consider vertical Farming to be the future of organic food farming.

In vertical farming, Plants are grown in stacked layers under controlled conditions like green house farming.
In vertical farming,
Quote
Ensures Consistent Crop Production
One of the biggest benefits of vertical arming lies in the fact that it is extremely reliable. That means, when you opt for vertical farming, you can be assured of getting consistent crop production throughout the year. This is further made possible because vertical farming doesn’t usually rely on the weather, allowing you to cultivate crops without having to get worked up about adverse weather conditions.
Uses Space Optimally
Reduces Usage of Water
One of the biggest perks of vertical farming lies in the fact that it follows a Hydroponic growing process whereby only 10% of the water is used. This mode of farming also uses fewer fertilizers and nutrients when compared to conventional methods. Since the water is completely clean even after usage, it can be duly reused thereby reducing the total cost and cutting down on waste.
Cuts Down on Transport Cost
You can always choose to grow crops in an area where your customer lives thereby reducing transportation costs, carbon dioxide emissions, and the constant need for refrigerating your produce. At the end of the day, this not only contributes to the freshness of your products but also makes them incredibly profitable.
Doesn’t Involve Chemicals or Pesticides
When you grow food on a vertical farm, you have the chance of completely cutting down on the need to invest in pesticides. That is because your farming is practiced in a controlled environment that prohibits the entry of pests.
Limits Occupational Hazards
With indoor farming in place, no farmer is exposed to the hazards associated with using heavy farming gear. They are also well-protected from a range of ailments like malaria, issues from harmful chemicals, and the likes of it.Since this mode of farming does not affect trees and animals around inland zones, it is also an excellent way to promote biodiversity.
Larger Produce
Probably the biggest benefit of vertical farming is the fact that it helps produce more crops in general. As we already know, this mode of farming enables cultivars to produce crops consistently in a small area. Interestingly, it also boosts the amount of produce.
What do you think about Vertical Farming, do you agree that it is the future of farming really?

https://www.conserve-energy-future.com/advantages-disadvantages-vertical-farming.php

Farming is an essential means of survival in our different countries with which the world wide is dependent on, it also is a stimulator of production by cultivating crops and raising livestocks.
But recently in our different rural areas there seem to be very poor and ineffective means if farming as lands meant for farming are being used for infrastructural buildings and developments which is affecting the farming production process.
Farming contributes to the Production of food and raw materials, which in turn can stimulate the economic growth and development,do I'll advise dat those land spaces are being reserved for their purpose.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: August 11, 2023, 04:49:53 PM
You called them poor and you still criticize them for not investing? I don't know what the word "poor" means in your own perspective but going by general definition of poor, you can not expect such people who hardly feed and shelter for themselves to take a risk in investment. You can not risk like them if you don't earn like them.

In as much as they are being persuaded and convinced to invest,it is meant to be understood that  criticism cannot win them over to do the needful.

The approach to investment on the poor has to be understood as everyone out there falls into different circumstances...it isn't very easy for them to meet up to high standards.
So it is necessary for everyone to deal with issues amicably for a better society.
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Magazine Doesn't Limit to 1 Acct Per IP Address? on: July 20, 2023, 03:33:04 PM
As you see below, 20 accounts are used by me. Every week, a giveaway of at least 200 satoshis (most times 300 sats) via QR code on their Twitter page @EarnWithBM are released to the public per account holder. So I make 20 times what the average Joe makes. What is Bitcoin Magazine's business model? Just giving away money? Something just doesn't add up here.

Bitcoin Magazine is one of the original news and print magazine publishers covering Bitcoin and digital currencies. You can earn sats by Flash Fridays (at least 200 sats) and Daily read (50 sats)

50 sats x 7 days = 350 sats
300 sats per week = 200 sats (most times is 300 sats per week)
50 sats bonus per week after retweet quota = 50 sats

Total per account: 700 sats
700 sats x 20 = 14,000 sats (almost US$3.00) (a lot for a 3rd world country)

I have already successfully made withdrawals to Wallet of Satoshi from all 20 accounts. This is a way for persons in 3rd world countries to try lightning. Anyhow, an IP address restriction must be put in place to deter bad players.

20 Accounts? OP, Good Luck with all of your accumulations with your Satoshi's accumulations but you're simply driven by greed looking for quick Bitcoin or Satoshi's.
Bitcoin Magazine focuses on teaching about Bitcoin and earning Satoshi's in the process. I'm there daily to read and learn about Bitcoin.
There's also a 21 days lecture about Bitcoin,  Proof of Work, Proof of Stake and many more which has to do with nodes and transaction.
At the end of 21 days, A quiz would be conducted for you to earn 2100 Satoshi's.

Such Attitude on Bitcoin Magazine,  and you won't do same on Bitcoin Talk? Man you must be super greedy and hungry.  Introduction of IPand Capcha can solve all of these mess.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: I want to get spot bitcoin ETF news directly from the SEC on: July 13, 2023, 08:29:53 PM
However, it should be taken into account that after this news the market will react positively, but also that it will not be long-lived because who can say with certainty that large investors will really invest billions in such a fund?

Examples from some other countries where such an ETF exists have shown that large investors are not too enthusiastic about it, although we can hardly compare such a market in Canada with that in the US.

This is right,  so far so good, The market has been positively moving and no signs of a negativity.  Since they are friendly and less difficult, having regulations in the same process they'll do a great deal for these investors. It also supports Bitcoin adoption in very good way. Sure we'll see investors investing billions.
In Europe they have taken this to another level, they have embraced crypto more unlike the United State. ETF will definitely thrive in Canada more than the United States of America  who are normally leaders whenever it comes to such innovative technologies and ideas.
This is unlike the United States. As for the original owner of the post, you will need most importantly a first hand information from a journalist or reporter who works with the company.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Landed properties is the best investment on: July 07, 2023, 06:00:49 AM
indeed land property is quite promising, even though it is below gold, but its resistance to price inflation is still strong compared to other industries, apart from land real estate which is part of a better version of land property or industry so it is also no less interesting, at least for mid-term promising land or real estate to be the best option in the industry for investment.

The importance of property ownership and real estate cannot be overemphasized, for an individual who craves financial stability owning land and apartments is more than a valuable asset, having shelter is a basic need so being a property owner automatically gets you profit from rents and sales if you decide to sell.

Real estate is in my opinion one of the best forms of investing for the near future if managed properly, like in my country imagine having a housing apartment that can accommodate 28 students and tenants at a college situated environment, that's not just massive profit, it's also a reoccurring flow of tenants even when students are done with college and move out you're almost guaranteed more students so long the college still functions.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: July 05, 2023, 05:43:17 PM
In my country there is also inflation, but the level is not too high so that it still allows people to survive and again the government in my country is quite focused on reducing the inflation rate.
I noticed your story seems more difficult than what I could imagine, maybe there are many parties related to the increase in inflation in your country, such as money laundering, excessive printing of money by the government and the lack of supply of commodity needs which causes scarcity and or hoarding of goods to increase market demand that aims to make more profit than sales, you need to pay attention to things like that and discuss with elements of society to find a way out in your current position.

The country in the story does relate to mine, inflation rate within just the past few months have been really high, cost of living, petroleum products prices, removal of subsidy on crude oil when no proper infrastructure in place yet is really taking a toll on the citizens, transportation costs, food prices, drinkable water prices, clothing and accomodations, electricity tariffs, basically everything is affected by the other, just like  dominos.

Several other factors are also responsible for the high cost of living like money laundering, embezzlement of public funds by government all these sum up to the increase in demand and hoarding of commodities, sadly the government really care less about the average citizens and the poor because no matter how high the inflation rate is they'll still be able to afford and live comfortably.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Back to 2019, Harry Maguire or £80million for Bitcoin? on: June 28, 2023, 04:03:00 PM
Don't find this amusing in anyway possible, that's because, So much have been said about Manchester United Captain-England defender Harry Maguire who was signed from Leicester City for £80million 2019.

He must have been delighted to make Manchester United his number one choice,  but judging for the past three years, Harry Maguire hasn't been much of a useful player to the club as he should be.  Some say he is the worst value for money signing in Manchester United's history.

He has let so much pressure on him and has responded sluggishly, Such a player for that value should be worthy of high performance for the club but all we see is horrible shows and lack of self belief.
Yes the idea would be said to be biased,  but, I honestly think Manchester United should have invested into Bitcoin than buying Harry Maguire,  The Bears and Bulls off course wouldn't have caused more horrific scenes, also increased blood pressure on Manchester United fans.  In financial circumstances I mean crises, Man United would have falled back to the Pumps Bitcoin had. So back to 2019, Harry Maguire or £80million for Bitcoin? Genuine Opinions!

PS: Don't shoot the messenger. 🙃
