Todd Boehly taking over Chelsea and we're yet to see the very best result of Chelsea in the present days. Rather we're beckon to watch the inconsistent terrible performance of the Blues, the owner have sacked more managers than we could possibly think of and the club's reputation is in ruins. However this season have come to be one of the promising one since appointing Mauricio Pochettino as headcoach, alot of things have been put into respective place. Chelsea have always been my favorite club because they stand tall enough to compete for major titles.

Todd Boehly ownership of Chelsea has actually affected the club as they have failed to perform very well since he took over. During the era of Roman Abrahmovic, Chelsea were one of the best clubs in England, if not the best base on success and also the world. Abrahmovic sacked managers at ease if they couldn’t get the results he wants.

Todd Boehly did just that but to me has more patience then his predecessor and he has actually sacked just two managers which are Tuchel and Graham Potter, the Lampard appointment was for interim time base so i wouldn’t call it a sack. He Boehly has also spend more in two season than Abrahmovic did in five and still no result yet.

The appointment of Mauricio Pochettino was deemed to bring success to the club but that isn’t what it is, I kind of like how Boehly still trusts him to bring the glory days back because sometimes some managers need time to implement their strategies i hope Poch is that guy.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 11, 2024, 02:49:20 PM

In the end, West Ham completely dropped out of the top ten, although at the beginning of the season at least West Ham got good results. But as far as I remember too, it seems that West Ham also had a chance to be in the top six of the Premier League table at the beginning of this season but anyway, the instability and difficulty for West Ham to maintain good performance then West Ham continued to decline in position in the Premier League table. Also, although West Ham are currently playing at home, only against Luton who are in the relegation zone, but West Ham have conceded since the sixth minute. Although indeed, there are still many opportunities for West Ham to be able to turn things around in this match but anyway, it still seems difficult for West Ham to get good results in a bad situation like this.

This game is definitely a naively competitive match. West Ham United have ability to close down on points to Manchester United who currently occupy the last European competitions place, a win will move them to within 2 points with Manchester United who have would have two games at hand. Currently Luton United are winning the game with a single goal which if it ends like that will definitely be a great victory for them. They needed maximum points today to still be in the contention to stay in the Premier League. Winning this game will put them on same points with Nottingham Forest who are on 29, with Nottingham Forest having a game later against Chelsea.

The other game against Newcastle United and Brighton is another game for a birth in the European place next season, Brighton are out of those places but a win today will bring them back into contention for the places
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is it right to invest in Bitcoin? on: May 11, 2024, 02:31:56 PM
I think the time to invest in Bitcoin is when you feel comfortable investing. You can start a plan either way, it's up to you. But first of all you need cash before starting planning. If you are ready to invest in bitcoins if you have a large amount of money and that money you absolutely want to invest in bitcoins then you can. If your invested amount is less then you can use DCA method in case you need to have additional source of income where you can continue monthly or weekly. Using the DCA method will greatly reduce your tendency to panic as a result of market downs. I have prepared and invested in Bitcoin, now it's time for you to prepare how interested you are in Bitcoin investment.

I can’t agree less with you, buying of bitcoin definitely doesn’t have time, the only thing aside acquiring the knowledge is to get the capital ready once this two are in place you don’t need to wait for a specific time to invest into bitcoin. You will see people always talking about buying the dip which yes is the right time to buy as that is when the price will be low.

But the problem is you can’t know the exact price that is the dip so to avoid missing out on buying low, the DCA method is the right or perfect strategy for it. With DCA you have the ability to buy at different prices and at the end, the average price is usually reasonable
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? on: May 11, 2024, 02:07:59 PM
I see that current youth is inspired by celebrities and influencers in big way. Did you also start investing in bitcoin because of some celebrity ? Or you know people who belong to that category ? Is it a wise decision to do so or we should do our own research for better results ?

The thing is you can’t simply just stumble upon something just like that, most people got here through social media or through reading articles. It is not necessarily that one influencer will be the reason to invest into bitcoin but it could because of group of investors that were spreading the FOMO around social media that got many people attention.

As for doing research it was definitely necessary to do that research after finding out from the social media and do some the research is what brought some people here in the forum. Research is an important thing to do even if someone introduces you to something
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 11, 2024, 09:47:22 AM

It seems Girona deliberately lost the game yesterday to allow Barcelona finish in second place since it's their legacy to be in second place if they couldn't win the league title. They played excellently in the first sixty minutes of the game and then loose the coordination after that that led to Alves equalizer. The match officials have to be blame for prolonging the game even after the extra time given elapsed but I would blame Girona more for not being defensive in that delicate time of the game. The equalizing goal would have been avoided if they handle their defensive with absolute fortification. It doesn't make any difference finishing second or third as far as the tittle race is no more and both teams (Girona and Barcelona) already qualified for next season UCL but Barcelona will definitely try to overtake and claim the second place on the table. A win on Sunday will easily grant them that second place ahead of Girona.

I don’t think Girona actually drew that match internationally but that’s one beauty or fascinating thing about football, a club can be undefeated and ends been defeated by a lower rank club and Deportivo Alaves did that yesterday. They grew in the game after Girona let their guard down. It is a painful draw for Girona.

Yes it is important for any club to currently finish as a the runner up to the tittle winners (second position) because the Spanish super cup since it’s reform to four teams is usual contested by the both winners and runners up of the Laliga and the copa del Rey. At the moment Altletic Club are the champions of the Copa del Rey while the Runners up are Mallorca. The already declared Laliga champions makes the third club and the club that finishes second will complete the four clubs.

So this gives any club finishing second a chance at another title.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 10, 2024, 11:14:40 PM
The next three remaining matches will determine Ten Hag future at Old Trafford, which I don't think the manager will retain to coach Manchester United next season. Relations within Manchester United seem to be in disharmony, there is no longer any mutual trust between coaches and players, as well as between club officials and managers. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that Ten Hag will most likely be fired, and rumors currently circulating say that Tuchel will be the next successor. It is difficult to make Manchester United develop for the better when there are so many problems within the team, since the start of the season Ten Hag has been arguing with his own players, this is just one example of the many problems within the team. The best option is to release Ten Hag, and rebuild with better squad depth, this might enable Manchester United to compete again in the top four of the standings next season.

If you ask me sacking only Ten Hag isn’t the solution to the crisis currently at Manchester United. The players have their own fair share of the blame Infact they are the main problem of the club currently. The club has actually sacked world class managers in the past and the players with them are still around. First thing this board needs to do is to make changes to the hierarchy like they are currently doing. Put people that understand football they, then offload the old players seeing off their contract and get some few signings and then trust the youth in the club and they will be ready to give their all. If after all this Erik Ten Hag didn’t deliver then it would now be right to sack him totally
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 10, 2024, 11:03:51 PM
It would be very upsetting for the Girona supporters because their team conceded in the final minutes of the extra time and as a result of that they couldn't claim all three points from the game to put them at the solid 2nd position and in line to play in the Spanish Super Cup next season in addition to the financial gain. Alaves do not really need the points, but they made sure to make Girona not get a victory against them in front of their home supporters. With very few games remaining in the La Liga Girona will make sure to try to win the next games if they want to finish 2nd place because if Barcelona win their next game, Girona would just be a point ahead of them.

Girona themselves have surpassed their expectations or goals set this season for them. They have done a fairy tail and the best gift would have been winning the tittle but wasn’t achieved, right now their on the track to finishing second which I think will be their highest position ever. This point shared with Deportivo Alaves will definitely affect their chances of finishing that second place, because Barcelona is yet to play and their opposition Real Sociedad wouldn’t make it easy for them.

Also should they end In the Third place I think they will be able to go to the super cup as the third place team last season also participated.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 10, 2024, 10:45:46 PM
The believe that they can still be able to Qualify for the Champions League can motivate the Tottenham Hotspur players to put their best performance in against the teams remaining for them to play hoping Aston Villa can drop points against those two teams. Richarlison and Maddison played well against Liverpool even though they lost, If I was the coach, I will give those players a chance to start the game. Tottenham are predicted to be one of the teams that will be better next season after the transfer market, it will be good for them to qualify for the champions league.
First Hurdle for Tottenham is Burnley, they can seem easy due to their place on the table, but they may not be easy in real life to win since they like to win these kind of games for history sake if not for the points.

Tottenham hotspur have currently put themselves in a tight situation or dilemma at the moment. They had the opportunities to go up when Aston Villa had crisis and were dropping points but they didn’t capitalize on the and rather they also dropped points not only against top clubs but also mid table clubs. Currently I wouldn’t say they stands a chance of clinching that top four spot. Aston Villa need just a single win from the remaining two fixtures. The first team to come up is Liverpool, although too tricky for them but on their day they will match Liverpool toe to toe and would win most especially as with this hunger for top four.

If they don’t win that match they could come against Crystal palace and clinch the spot. As for Tottenham having Manchester City as part of their games is way too tricky for them and I don’t fancy them wining seriously
9  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hope yah still accumulating and holding. on: May 10, 2024, 10:08:36 PM
It's much more easier to accumulate or HoDL BTC these days with the advancement in Blockchain technology and with the steady upgrade from many exchanges, who ready to provide the best service in the market.
An exchange platform like Bybit encourage users to HoDL or accumulate BTC by giving out a $10 reward for any user who accumulates their BTC till it crosses the $100 mark. Imagine how much one user should make if they can endure and HoDL till it gets to the $100 mark and climbs to double up, with profit and rewards making the returns very profitable to the investor.

If not for the regulation palava ongoing in the country, which has made traders and investors withdraw their holding and savings for fear of what might happen later, am sure many of us would still be regular HoDLer and accumulators of BTC and cryptocurrencies in general.

Yes it’s a great thing to actually hodl bitcoin but this your perspective of holding is something I don’t fancy or advice any one to follow. The promise by Bybit is a tricky one but yet not a juicy one for someone who actually values their cryptocurrency coins. This $10 reward is for anyone who actually holds bitcoin on their exchange, which is the first thing a bitcoin holder needs to avoid. Keeping your funds on exchanges are just far too risky that anyone shouldn’t consider. The reward to risk ratio is not even close.

There are reputable wallets you can safeguard your bitcoin in and do what you want with, without any fear of exchange collapse or regulatory issues with the government. If you hodl for long you will earn more than that reward offered by Bybit or other exchanges
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the importance of this non_ custodial wallet? on: May 10, 2024, 08:56:24 AM
I'm still new here so whenever time I see people talking about non custodial wallet I don't really understand what they are talking about so that is the reason why I choose to ask this question so that you guy's can enlighten me more  about non custodial wallet. that is why is very good to ask questions in any area that you don't understand I always ask questions if there's anything I don't understand I don't care what people might say or talk about me, I'm not that type that always keep quiet even if they don't understand they will just keep quiet and pretend like they know exactly what you're talking about when they don't even have any idea of what they are talking about, well thank you so much for making me to understand what non custodial wallet means.

Seriously there is no harm in asking question regarding anything crypto related here on the forum, I can boldly tell you that majority of members here actually learnt lots about the cryptocurrency space or bitcoin from this forum, so feel free to ask.

But one thing i will ask you to place restrictions on is the type of questions you ask here, there are basically some that are not necessary because you can simply use the search button for that and I tell you there will be a thread out there on the forum about the subject matter. For example this your question has a thread here that explains it custodial vs non-custodial wallet explained.

Using the search button makes you not to look like a spammer creating repeating threads but when you ask newbies to make use of the search button you see threads like newbies are been maltreated which is not right.

For future occurrences you can learn how to use the search engine properly here
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the importance of this non_ custodial wallet? on: May 10, 2024, 08:00:45 AM
It seems you don’t understand what non-custodial storage means. It is a wallet where you have control of the keys and seed phrase. This way the assets or coins on that wallet is controlled by you, you can move funds anytime you like without having to worry for confirmation from any platform. Also it so save in such way that you don’t get the scare of a custodial wallet collapsing.

If you ask me it is one of the core principles of bitcoin; that is been your own bank. The phrase not your keys not your coins is definitely referring to any one not using non-custodial wallet.

Lastly any wallet that provides you with private key or seed phrase is a non-custodial wallet. The difference now lies on if it is open source or closed source
12  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Centralized Exchanges already violate customers privacy right by asking for KYC on: May 10, 2024, 07:40:41 AM
~Snipped

Why exchange go collect kyc from customers in Nigeria when their are not licensed by government?

Waiten them dey use the kyc documents for and who authorised centralized exchange to do kyc for their customers when the don't have licensed which AML are their trying to protect?

It’s because they want to obey the international anti money laundering complaints. KYC is just the basic for AML regulations. For an exchange asking for this KYC protocol actually allows them to reduce unwanted transactions in the exchange. For example if a criminal fails to provide a valid KYC detail then they know from a start that such customer is not to be allowed to get access to large amounts of trading volume. Should a customer uses any of this exchanges for money laundering and found guilty, then if the exchange used fails to provide the information before the court then the exchange bears the crime.

Look at P2P, if they do not have the KYC of the customers it will be hard to actually get hold of a vendor if they use the exchange to carry out any crime.

Exchanges are under the international law of AML to ask for KYC of any customer using their exchange. The country law is just secondary
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a newbie make investment before learning? on: May 09, 2024, 11:21:45 PM
Yea, it is a very good thing to do. Learning is the first step to any success and without good knowledge, there will be obstacles along the line which can lead astray.
In crypto and Bitcoin investment, learning is very important because of how volatile Bitcoin market is.
You need knowledge to be able to understand the basic concepts behind Bitcoin, keys and address and lots more; without these knowledges, you will never know the exact way to start and you will easily get scammed due to ignorance, that is why it is very important to learn before you start your investment.

Seriously the question is someway unnecessary to me, because how can you possibly even invest in something that you don’t have knowledge, how do you plan to buy that thing or product, how do you keep it, what the risks involved in this, even a Ponzi scheme scammer will tell things like this before they scam you, so OP since your question is can one make investment before learning, the answer is NO.

The knowledge People say you should seek isn’t necessarily those high or advanced knowledge like how is address created, or how is keys generated. But rather what do they signify, which wallets are best for storage. This are basic knowledge that are necessities which must be known.

Man City are a different animal in a title race late in the season. This Tottenham team is painfully average, I don’t see them being capable of stopping Pep’s men.

I actually think Arsenal are more likely to drop points than Man Cigy.

Sadly even though I don’t want Manchester city to win another league title again which will make it a record four times in a row and break a premier league record. Right now it is all but certain that they will win because the remaining fixtures to me seems favourable on their side than on Arsenal’s side. The two teams have a big game with the traditional big six but Arsenal looks set to drop points than Manchester City

Arsenal have won once at Old Trafford since 2007/2008 season, although Manchester United are poor this season, them getting a whopping from Crystal palace and out of European football places I think they will definitely have to make a shift in the upcoming matches. The Tottenham match against Manchester City is another similar type of match with the Manchester United and Arsenal one but City are definitely a team to cause an upset on.

One thing i am certain about is this tittle will definitely go down the wire till the last day of the season
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 09, 2024, 04:50:17 PM
Ancelotti actually doesn't really need a pure striker, this coach has experimented with making Vinicius jr and Rudrygo play important roles in the front line and they are also the players that Real Madrid has relied on the most so far, Anceloti rarely uses Joselu's role as the main player in the line in the future because Ancelotti was doubtful about his abilities, but in fact Joselu's performance last night was able to dispel Real Madrid's concerns that they would almost fail to qualify for the UCL final if Joselu was not there, who was smart enough to take advantage of Manuel Neuer's negligence.

Seriously I will disagree with you on this, Ancelloti definitely needs a natural striker and we have seen how he gets those goals when the striker is there. Yesterday he had Vinicius on the striking role and you will definitely tell me that Vinicius was wasted there in the first half he couldn’t come out to play but when he switched roles In the second half Bayern Munich were left in trouble due to his mesmerizing runs. When Ancelloti had Benzema they won games through him but this season they were relying on a midfielder Bellingham to help win the games we all know that goals from midfielders easily dry off and if you check well he doesn’t score that much again.

The goals scored yesterday by Joselu we’re definitely striker instincts goals, normal players wouldn’t poach on the goal like that but Joselu isn’t reliable like that due to his age so personally I think this magnificent madrid team will definitely do well with a proper striker
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 09, 2024, 04:34:40 PM
With the way Real Madrid played yesterday and won the match at the dying minutes to extra time, is the same way they will put up all their seriousness on the final day to make sure that they win the trophy. PSG is not as strong as Real Madrid, and it was Dortmund fate this season that they will be playing in the finals, if not PSG played better than them but they were unlucky and that is why you see that their balls was hitting the goal post in both first and second leg of the matches. That luck will not be on Dortmund side on the finals but rather it will be on R.Madrid side.

Yeah Madrid were once again Real Madrid, they had their chances in the first half and couldn’t convert. Bayern last night actually played well too but not on the standard of Madrid. Tuchel to me managed that game well in the first half and before the goal but made it worse with his substitutions after the goal and madrid through the brilliant Vinicius capitalized on that.

I see you undermine that Dortmund were lucky, in as much as I will say they were they definitely had their fair share of the game in good performance. Dortmund had done their work early by scoring and you wouldn’t expect them to come out and challenge PSG toe to toe with PSG fast attack so they let them have the possession and did their bit. I don’t call that luck I call it reward for patience
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 08, 2024, 11:18:07 PM

Real Madrid odds to win every Champions League are quite high since the beginning of each season. They are dominating this league and in today's game, they did it against a hard rival, like they did before against many teams, coming back from behind and trash them.
The final game was played today in my opinion, unless Borussia Dortmund are preparing a surprise.

Real are just that miraculous club that people think they are. Of all days had they lost today it will have been painful because seriously it was today that they were more of a better team or club than the opposition. They dominated the game ahead of Bayern and it was Manuel Nuer that kept them in the tie. Before he made the costly mistake that lead to the equalizer.

We all will say that Madrid are lucky but we shouldn’t  down play how brilliant the substitutions were. I had been watching the way it was hard for Vinicius and Co to breakthrough the defense and the only option I was guessing was then crosses and when Joselu was the player that came to mind and went on to come on and made the difference
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 08, 2024, 10:23:03 PM

They should change the coach completely, then both the offensive and defensive lines will be drastically rebuilt. What Ten Hag is doing hasn't worked for more than one season, in case anyone hasn't noticed yet. So I think most of the problems will be solved once they change coaches, which I understand they are not going to do.

I am always baffled as to vie many of you think that most of Manchester United problem will be solved when they let go of the coach Erik Ten hag. Yes the coach hasn’t performed well but have all thought of the past, most of the departed coaches weren’t just a bunch of average players but world class coaches and they had problems with getting Manchester United back to the glory days and fail with most of this players too. This hasn’t worked because they are players in the club that think they are better and to me need to go because even if they bring another coach they will still exhibit same character after few games

I like the way the new share older is actually restructuring the club from the top where decision making is taking place, after that then he can move move ahead to other areas
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 08, 2024, 09:42:14 PM
Oh come ooooon! I hope that United goes to relegation at this point, they have seen a whole year of Real Madrid preferring to not even play with any strikers, leave the striker position wide open, and still not prefer Joselu over no players? I mean Joselu is so bad that I wouldn't get him to any team that is trying to go for European competitions in any of the five big leagues.

At this point, I think that the best thing he could do would be just going to some Saudi team or MLS team, or find some terrible European league and be striker of a good team there, because he has no place at a club like United. Plus they already have Hojlund, why the hell would they need a striker like him? Obviously there is definitely something wrong going on within the team for sure.

Such a harsh word for a player, had Madrid not seeing at least a quality about him they wouldn’t have signed him in the first place. Madrid were definitely sure of what they were getting into before they signed Joselu on loan, they just wanted a back up striker and not someone that could be a first team player and Joselu was definitely perfect for it. So saying he wouldn’t cope in some European clubs is way harsh too me, he can go to Barcelona today and be a better back up to Lewandowski too.

But I have to agree with you that he isn’t the player that Manchester United need at the moment. Manchester United need a player that is currently on his prime and not past it to combine with a potential like Rasmus Hojlund to boost their attack. The budget player that comes to my mind is Isak of Newcastle. He is one of the best in the league currently and can easily play as a double striker to Hojlund in a diamond formation

Right at it Joselu just sent Madrid to the UCL finals
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 06, 2024, 11:44:49 PM
This is what I'm looking at as well before the match with Palace started. I thought there's no way they would let Chelsea overtake them for the last spot to qualify for any European competition. It's funny how they were challenging for the top 4 but now they are free falling.

D-D-W-D-L in the last five matches. If these results won't get the manager fired then ETH should consider himself extremely lucky.

United are definitely in a very big mess right now. They are on the verge of not playing any European competitions with the FA cup final been the only game for redemption at the moment, should they win then that will qualify them to the Europa league. With the way they are playing i don’t see them winning that game either. This loss to Crystal palace proves not how shambolic only they are but also the importance of Bruno Fernandez in the team.

Erik Ten Hag who to me is definitely under pressure will have to weigh his option as Bayern Munich and Ajax are lining up for his signature. As for Manchester United they are skeptical about sacking because they don’t seem to find another manager with the purpose of staying for a long period of time. The other options aren’t way much better than Ten Hag. The new United board are relying on him with the belief that he had so many injuries to the first team players and Also that he lack support from the then board
