1425  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 01:58:35 PM
what if the other part do not return the money?

Guess it is better just go to the loan section
If the money from a loan is not returned we sell the borrowers collateral to cover the loss. However at the moment our program needs to be reworked.
1426  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 01:26:32 PM
vod was kind enough to point out a lot of flaws in my system. So this service will be down until we can fix them. No investments have been sent to us as of this post.
1427  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 02:36:24 AM
They might take issue with it but considering its not a real bank and bitcoin is not a real currency it might be ok. I should probably check at work about that tomorrow.

You seem clueless about a lot of things.   Undecided

http://www.inc.com/will-yakowicz/bank-of-america-report-bitcoin-serious-competitor-to-cash.html

I didn't know that either, I'll ask the Merrill Lynch guy at my branch about it tomorrow and see what he thinks about that article.
1428  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 02:28:11 AM
I actually hadn't considered that. Do you have an Idea on how I could fix that problem? I guess to do that I would have to do something like cryptsy does, and that seems like way more trouble than its worth.

:/ shit.

You can't fix the problem.  I can start a group of investors, deposit my money, withdraw my interest, give it to my groupmate who uses it to reinvest in your scheme.  It doesn't matter where the money is coming from - you are allowing new investments so you are paying 125% per year.

Go ask the bank you work for if its OK that you are running an unlicensed investment scheme and calling yourself a bank.  See what they say.   Undecided

Alright I get your point. Its not that great of an Idea I suppose, not so much because of the "I work at bank" thing but mainly because I just realized there really isn't anything I couldn't do to stop you from doing that.

I don't know for sure if the bank would be mad about this? They might take issue with it but considering its not a real bank and bitcoin is not a real currency it might be ok. I should probably check at work about that tomorrow.
1429  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 02:17:07 AM
Can you also fix the neg feedback? The interest doesn't compound so the 125% rate is completely wrong. Can you fix it to say the actual rate of 80% per year?

How do you stop me from investing twice with two different email addresses?

Again the rate is not guaranteed only projected.

Ok, I have included that fact in the feedback.   Undecided

If you could make that much money, why would you borrow from and pay strangers such unsustainable rates?  Get a bank loan, use your own money and keep 125% more profit.

Well because getting a loan from an actually bank is a pain in the ass at my age, even though I work for Bank of America.  This just seemed like a reasonable way for me to get enough coin in one place to turn a profit. The investors would make money, I would make some money, and people would have easier access to loans (with proper collateral).

Started this with good intentions :/

You work for the Bank of America and you are running an unlicensed investment scheme?  That's a good way to get fired.   Undecided

I don't know if doing this would get me fired.

Also could you fix where it says 125% per year in the feedback? Its only 80% per year the interest isn't compound so we don't go anywhere close to that number.
1432  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 01:57:33 AM
Its not compound interest, the interest is paid into your personal wallet at the end of the month, you only earn interest off of your initial investment. Other wise we would make no money and be far past fucked in a month.

So you vet new deposits to make sure they haven't deposited before?

Sorry man, have to leave you negative trust if you are going to be running a ponzi.   Undecided

Paying for the privilege of debt never works out.

Its seriously not a ponzi, we don't only make money from the loans we are also trading coins and stuff.

A ponzi is payments from other investors which is something we would not be doing. Again the rate is not guaranteed only projected.

If you set yourself up with a trading investment account, and we use your .6 btc and buy lets say litecoin at a low price then sell it when its higher, you gain a bit of profit from that. Then if we use some part of your .6btc to issue a loan you gain profit from that as well (once the loan is repaid). I really cannot stress enough how the interest rate is not guaranteed its just the cap for your account.

Edit: So lets say we use your .6btc to make 1.5btc in trades a loans over the course of a year. That means you made 0.504 in BTC for investments that year (again this is not a guaranteed rate) while we make 0.396 BTC. ( 1.5 btc - .6 = .9 btc - .504 - 0.396BTC)
1433  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 01:49:09 AM
125% per year is unsustainable.  This is obviously a ponzi.

Its not 125% per year at all.

Ok, what is it then?

7% per month compound interest is 125% per year.

Its not compound interest, the interest is paid into your personal wallet at the end of the month, you only earn interest off of your initial investment. Other wise we would make no money and be far past fucked in a month.

Edit: Example

If you deposit .6 BTC which is the largest amount you can invest with us currently, you can make up to 0.042 per month
(depending on the investment package) that 0.042 will not gain interest.
1434  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 01:43:02 AM
125% per year is unsustainable.  This is obviously a ponzi.

Its not 125% per year at all. Its a little closer to 80% of initial investment per year.

Edit: Also the rate IS NOT GUARANTEED! Please read the site the fine text at the bottom of the investments page.

Edit:

This Idea had way to many flaws in it for me to continue with it.

Shout out to VOD for pointing them out and saving me a huge pain in the ass.
1436  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 12:46:04 AM
after looking at your programs, it seems like ponzi to me

How so? A ponzi pays investors with other investors money, we are paying with interest from loans we issue with your money, and with profits from trades.
1437  Economy / Investor-based games / Looking for investors (Decent returns) on: October 29, 2014, 12:28:37 AM
So this started out as an Idea a few of my friends and I started to kick around.

http://www.navismarisgov.com/bank-of-navismaris.html

That is the Bank of Navismaris where you can invest and earn BTC passively!

How will you turn my BTC into more BTC? That part is fairly simple. When you invest your money into bank of Navismaris we will use a portion of your funds to issue loans. We charge interest on these loans and give you a percentage of the profit.

What types of accounts do you offer?

Investment Account (We use your investment for trading )

Interest Account (We use your investment for loans, this account type is the only account that is insured)

Mutual Funds Account (We use half your investment for trading and half for loans)

How much money will I make per month investing with your bank?

The return can be as high as 7% per month!

I kind of want to try this, what is the absolute minimum I can invest?
You can invest as little as .03 btc.

When will I get paid? Your interest will be deposited into your account on the 1st of each month.

How long until I can get my initial investment back?
If you would like us to return your initial investment, your account with us has to be at least one month old. After that you can have your funds returned to you whenever you'd like.

How do I invest?
If your interested in investing you can get in contact with me, via PM or email, and I will do my best to find the account thats right for you. After you have opened your account please reply here with this form filled out.

Thanks Phil Davis  Grin without you I would be broke as fuck right now! The fight was a little dry but with the money I put on you it was very comforting to watch you take down your opponent over and over while avoiding a large number of his strikes.

Also to everyone who bet on Teixeira tonight, thanks for the money Cheesy
