2  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Imposto de importação? on: January 30, 2024, 10:11:14 AM

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To any Bitcoin holder who lost their seed: How did you lose it? on: January 26, 2024, 12:48:54 PM
What mistakes did you make, and what advice do you have for others to be careful?

What are the best and worst ways of storing a seed in your opinion?

The best way of storing safely your seed is write it on steel paper after that concrete it in a place where only you knows where it is. You must have a passphrase configurated on your hard wallet, it'll help you a lot if you hard wallet is stolen.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETFs - Good or Bad? on: January 23, 2024, 07:01:09 PM
The potential downsides, like institutional control and market manipulation, are real concerns. But let's not forget, isn't the current crypto landscape already a playground for whales, manipulating prices with their immense buying power? Whether it's traditional or crypto whales, manipulation exists.

However, the ETF's silver lining is undeniable: increased awareness and adoption. More people exposed to Bitcoin means a wider understanding of its potential, both as an investment and a technology. This could trigger a wave of adoption, bringing legitimacy and stability to the crypto space as a whole.

You welling on "what ifs" won't change the tide. We need to adapt, not resist. The world is evolving, and finance is no exception. Bitcoin, with its disruptive potential, is a force we can't ignore. Embracing the ETF, with all its complexities, might be the key to navigating the future of finance, not just for ourselves, but for generations to come.

Perfect.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin create an opportunity to reduce poverty? on: January 19, 2024, 10:57:12 AM
It been a big challenge in most country since the fuel subsidy and bad economy some country  are facing.A lot of people find it difficult to feed themselves and families, Now it Christmas season alot of people don’t have transport to go their various stats due to the high cost of transportation,  bad road and insecurities in some nation, some many lose intrest. As a good country the government should have free bus for less privileged to travel home for season like this.that why cryptocurrency should be taught free to individual with serious mind, with the rate of overpopulation and poverty in the country it something everyone or most people suppose to learn because the world is going digital and our currency is not appreciating compared to other currencies and the value is so low.that why am suggesting that Bitcoin and altcoin should be taught free of charge and the knowledge should be pass to the younger ones since they are the leader of tomorrow let see how it can reduce the rate of poverty or eradicate poverty entirely in every Nation. The world is suffering and Bitcoin should be introduced in every nation and should be freely

The only way of reducing poverty is the free market and voluntaries trades. The main cause of poverty is the existence of government who drains all productivity which was created in society. We have to wipe out all forms of government and abolish the idea of coletivism.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 17, 2024, 10:38:38 AM
Glancing through the article https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-rent-agreement-argentina-landlord-tenant one would conclude adoption is striving in Argentina. Paying for a house with bitcoin sounds to me a mistake or lack of financial knowledge. Bitcoin is better than Fiat. Bitcoin increases in value and fiat faces inflation. Why then would one spend Bitcoin instead of fiat on a house rent which may expire in few years? Accommodating the Bitcoin can birth the person more money to pay his next house rent. But fiat wouldn't add any interest in the bank. Moreover the house owner will not hold the Bitcoin.

You have to understand that bitcoin is a money, it is a hard money. There is no problem of paying the house rent or a product using a hard currency and it ended up prompting others to do the same.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Gold, land which better? on: January 16, 2024, 05:46:04 PM
I don't know which country you live in and what the prices are there but in general with this small amount you cannot buy a lot of gold or land so it would be better if you could convince your parents to invest in Bitcoin instead.

Buying a small amount of $200-300 per month is not a large amount, but it will give you some good profits in the long run. You may get 3-4 times that when Bitcoin rises to a new peak.

It is difficult to convince parents of this new technology, but you have to make your effort and try.

As he said above he lives in Blangladesh.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy Bitcoin is around the time of Bitcoin Halving: April 22, 2024 on: January 16, 2024, 05:39:04 PM
The months leading up to the Bitcoin halving is when Bitcoin prices is at it's lowest.

Anyone new to Bitcoin needs to buy from now until the halving. Bitcoin prices always go up after the halving from 2016, 2020 and now 2024.

Unfortunately, most people will only buy during the Bitcoin bull run hype during 2025 when the prices are at an all time high. Which is the worst time to buy Bitcoin.

Anyone that is reading this now during the halving year. You're one of the smart investors and understands Bitcoin's history. Buy when it's low. Hold when it's high. Sell at the top.

The better day of buying bitcoin is today. The second one is tomorrow, and the third one is the day after tomorrow. Every day/week or month we have the opportunity of buying some sats, whatever its price.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Bitcoin price history is important on: January 15, 2024, 04:34:34 PM
My trust in Bitcoin grew exponentially when I knew the price history of Bitcoin.
Besides other things, history is one main thing used in technical analysis. You can't analyze a market if you don't know the history of that market. History helps you determine how that market behaves at different points in time.

Bitcoin price history is necessary for all Bitcoiners, but to be a successful holder you have to understand the price history of Bitcoin.
This will help you understand the volatility of Bitcoin.
When you know the price history of Bitcoin you will understand that there is nothing new about the fall and rise of price. Also, the history will let you know that the price always goes back up after a fall and that should help you in your effort to hold Bitcoin.

When you read about the price history you'll see years like 2017 where Bitcoin peaked at just over $19000 from a thousand dollars. The volatility of Bitcoin goes both ways and you can only hold on to your Bitcoin when you know these things.

This is a graph of Bitcoin price in 2014 by Statmuse

In 2014, Bitcoin went from about a thousand dollars to under $200 and finally ended the year at just over $300. This kind of knowledge helps you keep the faith as a Bitcoin holder when the price dips.

I think when you are hodler, you probally know what bitcoin is and what problems it solves. The price does not matter for those are holdings the coins for a long run. The only worries that a bitcoiner has at the final of every month, he or she will be able to save in some satoshis, whatever the price at the moment
12  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: ETF BITCOIN APROVADO ? - CONTA SEC HACKEADA on: January 10, 2024, 03:26:02 PM
ETF = END THE FED
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Approves ETF - Turns out, NOT on: January 10, 2024, 10:28:23 AM
Human are desperate when it comes to getting what they want. The hack of Gary Gensley x account must be from one of those institutions that wants to trade bitcoin because they have already stashed up their bags believing that today SEC will approve bitcoin ETF. This was why they had to do the hack to give false news to the public, so that within that period, the price of bitcoin will soar. Unfortunately for the hackers, not quite long that the rumor was in the air, was when Gary Gensley cleared the air that his x account was hacked. This means that no one is safe from these hackers if they mean to hack into any of your account, this is why we should be careful with our security when using the internet. I don't care about the approval of bitcoin ETF because it will be an attack on financial freedom.

I totally agree with you. ETF is a rubbish, bitcoin do not need this fund to be aproved to have its price incresing in a long run. The price will increse naturally, this ETF only will deliver more power to the government of USA.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will any other coins like Bitcoin be discovery in the future? on: January 09, 2024, 12:57:41 PM
Bitcoin is a decentralized currency It is very difficult to say whether such coins like Bitcoin will be discovery in the future. But in my opinion such coins will not be another discovery.

What is yours opinions?

You have to understand that digital scarcity is created only once. There is no second best.

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Number of Merchants Accepting BTC Payments Surged by 174% in 2023 on: January 08, 2024, 03:44:19 PM
Quote
The increased crypto regulatory frameworks around the world have significantly helped in the mass adoption of Bitcoin, altcoins, and the wider Web3 ecosystem. For instance, El Salvador has recorded more merchants accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment since the country adopted the flagship coin as the legal tender alongside the United States dollar.

...

According to market data collected by BTC Map, merchants accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment experienced a 174 percent surge in 2023 to around 9,926 as of this report.

...

From the map provided by BTC Map, it is evident that most of the merchants accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment are concentrated around Latin America, North America, and Europe. Fewer merchants in Africa and Asia accept Bitcoin as a form of payment.
Bitcoin Adoption: Number of Merchants Accepting BTC Payments Surged by 174% in 2023

Regulations are claimed to be helping to increase Bitcoin adoption by businesses as payment method around the world. Is this for real, or are regulations just forcing such businesses to officially accept Bitcoin, although they could be already accepting it informally before the approval of such regulations?

Despite the raised percentage being really expressive (174%), it doesn't translate in great numbers when we conclude there are only 9926 businesses accepting Bitcoin as payment method in the world.

In your opinion, why do you think more businesses accepting Bitcoin as payment method are concentrated in American and European continents?

I think the main reason for that is the excessive bureaucracy created by government, taxes and so on. Merchants wants only to sell their products or services, without permission or regulations from theses thiefs called politicians
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power Of Bitcoin on: January 08, 2024, 11:15:52 AM
Cryptocurrency is slowly taking over the world and some hotels are now accepting Bitcoin as means of payment and Bulgaria as a country owns the highest Bitcoin as a country.
Around 2018 a friend of mine bought some unit of Bitcoin equivalent to $1,000 and also advise me to do same but I refused and was skeptical about it because I was of the notion that "what is really moving is coin of a currency" fast-forward 4 years later my friends share or unit of Bitcoin skyrocketed to $10,000 and I was at thr losing end just to be left with the thought of had I know.
When Bitcoin first broke out there was a man Laszlo who exchanged $10,000 worth of Bitcoin for two Papa John's Pizza from Jeremy but fast-forward to today Jeremy can purchase a million pack of pizza worth $10000 and still have more BTC left for him .
Nevertheless me falling short of the first opportunity of buying Bitcoin I'm still hoping of an opportunity to present it self so I can get the little bit of Bitcoin to my custody and I also advise both my friends and enemies to buy as much cryptocurrency they can because cryptocurrency is the currency of the future.

Bitcoin is by far the better money created by humans. Bitcon is something that you have to buy every end of month, worring about to buy any amount of sats and stacking it for a long run. It's a huge mistake to compare your experience in bitcoin with others persons I believe everyone has a specific time and correct time of understading it, the future don't get at the same time for everyone. The better thing you can do for your life is buying a little amount of sats every end of month/week or day, whenever you can do it.

Simples assim!
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I buy bitcoin ETF now? on: December 18, 2023, 08:00:55 PM
I want to buy some, I Seems to be almost sold out. Already sold for $4,626,720.67 ($5,059,485 is the maxnum amount).
Let's talk about this.

Satoshi nakamoto didn't create bitcoin to buy btc through ETF it has no sense. If you want to preserve your wealth for a long run then buy bitcoin and hold it in your own hard wallet.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: help me not to leave btc on: December 15, 2023, 02:11:26 PM
What kind of mindset should I have to stay in Bitcoin? And I think Bitcoin is about to hit the highest price ever, so how should I plan my dca strategy?
It is not too late. Your DCA strategy will depend on the amount of money you are earning and the period of time you are given. If you earn weekly, you should DCA weekly. If you earn money, you should DCA monthly.

The transaction fee is high right now, you can use lightning network.  Many exchanges are having lightning network and you can use it with a lightning network wallet.

If the amount has grown, then send it to a noncustodial wallet.

But you can use side chain instead. They are altcoins but they have low fee. Just until the time the network is not having high fee like this.

I totally agree. I would say to that young boy to use wallet of satoshi when he decides to buy bitcoin using lightning network.
