1  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: August 18, 2014, 11:52:58 AM
So, version    "MPBBB20140815-B-0.3.0-PR2.img.zip" doesn't boot up on my PI.
However "MPRPI20140815-R-0.3.0-PR2.img.zip" works superb. Only hash rate column shows 30% for my AMU devices, all BFL is 100% correct. If I check average speed on pool's website in 1h intervals, whole my set up works on 100%. I left donation tuned on and will check tomorrow if it worked and switched back to my workers.
Thank you MineForeman.com  Wink

The August version works just fine on the PI B+.

I keep getting conflicted reports about this... I have one now I just need the time to set it up with a miner.
I meant, that it does what it was designed for, however this hash rate under devices really annoys my eyes.  Cool

The August version works just fine on the PI B+.

30% issue: it's turned out after some more testing that in fact all miners are working at full speed according to slush's pool. Only interface shows that they work on 30%. Perhaps that info will help a bit in fixing this cosmetic bug.  Roll Eyes

From now on I am fully on MinePeon, so please let us know when donation will start work, so we all can turn it on.  Wink

Great job. Thank you. Cheesy

OK. I have done some testing on my PI B+ over last 24h.
The latest image (MPRPI20130727.img) as far as I know.
So, minepeon works, picks up ethernet and usb within seconds, it does recognise all my usb hubs too. No need to login via shell, once you know your ip just login through browser. Even graphical stuff got fixed. Thank you MineForeman.com

There is only one BIG BIG problem, all my antminers work on 30-35%. If I plug in exactly this same set up (whole usb hub) to PC it goes on 99-100%. Originally I thought it needs time to pick up speed, but it didn't over 24h, so I think that is the main problem.

Last question, will DONATE work now?

I am going back to PC with my hub for time being, because i don't want to waste time, but will definitely come back to minepoen once big problem get fixed and would like to donate.

Some more info:
1. I use antminers U1 & U2 all with cooling fans.
2. Powered hubs Etekcity with 4A power supply.
3. PI B+ is powered by sony experia z1 charger 1500mA

Thank you for all your very hard work.

The Raspberry Pi lacks a real-time clock so it loses its time and date every time it reboots. To set it again with the Minepeon's Archlinux distribution you need the following command:

Code:
sudo date -s "21 JUL 2014 10:03:00"

If you head over to the Minepeon's forums there are detailed instructions on how to configure ntp so that the Pi updates its time and date automatically but that's never worked for me. Anyway, once you fix the time and date, the graphs work great!

Thanks.
What are login credentials again?

U:minepoen
P:peon
they do not work.

1. I am newbie in this field and thought all devices had temp probes, so don't worry perhaps mine don't have that option.
2. I don't use plugins, just mentioned this, because thought that you have missed it.
3. It is a hub. I have ordered the new one already. (i use antminer u1 and u2)
4. Donation would be very nice option to say THANKS. I am sure there would be quite few honest people who won't mind spare you some time. Every little helps.  Wink
I don't expect huge returns from this. I will be very happy when I get my money back. I am doing it rather as a hobby and learning new things. I like to think that I put something in virtual community and if I can get some money of it, That's great.

Perhaps undiscovered bug:
In status tab, graphical representation of hash rate is not working at all and it is stuck on wrong times.

Thank you again for creating this. Once You get donation working I will turn it on.

I just registered to let you know.

The latest version (MPRPI20140711.img.gz) works superb on Raspberry Pi B+, picks up ethernet and mines within 15 seconds.
I know it is beta, but perhaps you want this to be mentioned.
Few things if you want to fix it:
1. doesn't show temp of the devices. Cry
2. plugins tab not working.
3. mining only at 35% of total possible hash rate, (maybe it is lack of power on usb port Huh, will check properly tomorrow)

I also have deleted your pools and workers and now I see that it is great system and I would like to donate 1h of my mining time. Will donate option still work?

Thanks.
