If you head over to the Minepeon's forums there are detailed instructions on how to configure ntp so that the Pi updates its time and date automatically but that's never worked for me. Anyway, once you fix the time and date, the graphs work great!

Err, those are supposed to work. Make sure that you are actually logging in as minepeon and not as another user.

Did you ever change the password? Because that's the only thing I can think of that's stopping you.

Any chance of getting an updated build of what ever version your on on the img folder?

Also just to make you aware incase you dont, the plugins menu was not working and cgminer booting on start was not either.

Working on it now, as you know it is alpha stuff and I am experimenting with the init system.  The one you have now is using systemd and I am working on putting some out using the traditional busybox init.

Systemd had a lot of advantages, it monitor's processes, had exemplary hardware handling, all sorts... it is also very complex but that is the way Linux seems to be heading these days.

Init is old and stable but it does not have ANY hardware handling and if a process dies.. it just dies.

Switching between the two is a bit of a process, something you will never want to do on a production system so I am taking my time to make sure I get it right when I decide what system to use for minepeon 0.3.0.

Anyways, the beaglebone init image is compiling now and the raspberry one is next in the queue...  providing that the compiler does not turn out a pile of slag (it happens) I will image them up and put them up in http://minepeon.com/img/testing/ tomorrow.

Hope  someone  can Help me  before I buy a Raspberry B+

Im using a pc  for mining  with  6 x red fury USB,  2 x AntMiner U2   and  6 Block Erupters........   All in three D-Link hubs DUB-H7  version.

Im trying to find without any luck  if mineon  works  with the Red Fury  (some posts say  "yes" with a modified version of cgminer,  some says "no" ....... ,  but all of them are  old  ones).


My little answers........

- At this moment,  could you mine  with Red Fury and mineon  with the Raspberry ??   
- Is enough 1 x Raspberry  for 14 usb miners
- go for Raspberry b+ or Raspberry b ?? is there any  problems with the 30% hash rate from usb ports or is fixed?

Raspberry PI B+ trials - the story so far.
Having lost my spare RPI I went out and bought a B+, totally forgetting to check if it was 100% compatible with the B.
Tried the "latest" MinePeon image (0.2.4.6) and of course got no USB or Ethernet.
Googled a bit ands decided to try the Arch Linux upgrade route on an older RPI. This fell over because my older RPI is very finnicky about SD Cards and borked every time I tried it.
Then tried starting from a recent Linux Arch image (works fine) and manually adding and configuring MinePeon (and Apache, php, rrd etc.). This failed due to my inexperience and the refusal by git to bring in the minepeon/http directory.
Finally decided to try MineForeman's testing build (MPRPI20130727) which booted fine. Struggled a bit to find the correct login/password (see higher in this thread for the answer) and then wondered what to do next when presented by "#" in Putty 

After some fiddling and more Googling I found the following:

• bfgminer starts automatically on boot
• "screen -r" brings up the bfgminer control screen
• You can add your own pools and delete the pre-configured ones, but changes are not saved! (or not to the right place)
• Edit /opt/minepeon/etc/miner.conf to set your pool(s) instead
• There is also a file called /opt/minepeon/etc/miner.user.conf, contents appear to be identical to miner.conf, so I edited this too
• Reboot and mine away!

I haven't yet found out how to get the web interface working (if there is one), for the moment it just gives me a 503, perhaps Neil could give me some pointers?
Working fine with 2 Bi*Furies, next job to get the Gridseed Dual connected.

Finally a note about USB 3 hubs. I got one that was recommended for USB ASICS, a Tecknet 10 port with 12V 4A supply. This hub has been the bane of my life under Windows and totally failed to work with the Raspberry PI B or B+ (lights up on insertion and then goes out). I changed to a cheap and nasty unbranded USB3 hub with a 5V 4A supply and it's working fine.

I hope that this post will be of help to new RPI B+ owners.

OK, so not so good. Installed MPRPI20140711 test build which is missing the miners (/opt/minepeon/bin just has hashrate.php in it).
A "git pull" told me that I was up to date.
I could always grab the source and compile it, but that means going through all the rigmarole of installing the compiler etc.

On the plus side, the web interface works just fine.

Back to the older version for the time being.

[ETA] Found that the "default" miner command was incorrect, changed to point to /usr/bin/bfgminer.
It does not appear to start automatically, but can be run from the command line and then the web interface picks it up.

OK. I have done some testing on my PI B+ over last 24h.
The latest image (MPRPI20130727.img) as far as I know.
So, minepeon works, picks up ethernet and usb within seconds, it does recognise all my usb hubs too. No need to login via shell, once you know your ip just login through browser. Even graphical stuff got fixed. Thank you MineForeman.com

There is only one BIG BIG problem, all my antminers work on 30-35%. If I plug in exactly this same set up (whole usb hub) to PC it goes on 99-100%. Originally I thought it needs time to pick up speed, but it didn't over 24h, so I think that is the main problem.

Last question, will DONATE work now?

I am going back to PC with my hub for time being, because i don't want to waste time, but will definitely come back to minepoen once big problem get fixed and would like to donate.

Some more info:
1. I use antminers U1 & U2 all with cooling fans.
2. Powered hubs Etekcity with 4A power supply.
3. PI B+ is powered by sony experia z1 charger 1500mA

Just working on a new test image that should fix most of those issues... No donate as of yet but both the status and pools page are fully functional.  The settings page is 90% complete and the plugins page loads (no test past that).

It will be called MPRPI20140804.img.gz and will be available in the test area (http://minepeon.com/img/testing/).

Just as a warning, the server code is starting to make it's appearance in this release.  The eventual outcome of this is that you will be able to go to https://mineforeman.io/ to manage your mining... at present all it does is erroneously tell you your mining rig is out of date though .

How do you plan to make this such that someone compromising your server cannot hijack every miner using it?
