1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Maximizing profits, a skill every trader should know. on: July 08, 2025, 04:35:49 PM
There are traders that have a good strategy that they use in the market, but still are unable to maximize profit they make.

I think that success in trading is in two parts, which is
- First having a strategy,
- Secondly knowing how to utilize the strategy to profit well.

After learning the first, it is important to learn the second else you will be a trader with a strategy that should work, but no profit to show for it. When you hear of traders who were successfully able flip small account sizes to big ones in a short time, it is not just because of their strategy alone, it is also due to understanding of how to maximize profits and minimize loss.
This very correct, some traders especially newbies do think that all you needed is a strategy and you will be good to go not knowing that beyond just formulating and using a strategy is the ability to stick to the utilization along side discipline with such strategy, no strategy is enough, i mean we don't get to see any on a scale of 100 they are mostly 75 - 89 and we consider it a good one , literally even a 90 is very difficult to see and  there's actually no holygrail as a strategy while trading.

Alongside all of this, we cannot emphasize the importance and the place of your emotional management, although that is expected to be factored into your strategy in other for your strategy to be complete and so does you risk and money management should come in hand and very importantly is the role of disciple, you have to be disciplined enough for you to be able to stick all of the strategy after you must have gotten one with which you desire to work with as a strategy.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin just for the rich? on: July 08, 2025, 03:01:49 PM
Someone said that Bitcoin is for the rich, but that's not completely true. It might feel like Bitcoin is for the rich due to the media focuses on celebrities and billionaires buying and benefiting from Bitcoin. This creates a perception that Bitcoin is a rich person's asset. Even during network congestion, fees can spike making small transactions very expensive. But let's not forget that Bitcoin is neutral, it can empower the rich or help lift the poor, it actually depends on how communities adopt it. So understand that Bitcoin is for everyone, you can buy tiny fractions, not until you afford a whole Bitcoin.
Everyone has got their own taught about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, maybe they have this taught that you must have more than enough to be able to afford Bitcoin meanwhile some other persons are out there getting it with the little they have and are gradually accumulating ,More Bitcoin for the future and they will definitely make even more money with the little they have made and the ones thinking that they need need that huge money are going to end up regretting for not taking the chance they had.

These big people buy Bitcoin because they are very much aware how much they stand to gain at the end of the day, meanwhile the ones who are busy thinking it is for the rich alone will be loosing out on opportunities because they have failed to understand that they can also afford it and benefit from it just like the ones they call rich are benefiting. Bitcoin is for everyone provided you can afford a dollar then you can be sure you can start your Bitcoin journey if you wan to.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Banning gambling, would this solve the problem? on: July 08, 2025, 02:23:23 PM
I came across news that there’s a senator pushing to ban gambling in our country.

So I’d like to ask fellow gamblers here, do you think this move is justified? Or is it too harsh?

We all know that gambling is addictive by nature. No matter our financial status, anyone can fall into addiction. But is banning it entirely really the only solution?
And what could be the possible consequences if gambling were banned in a country? Can you share some thoughts or examples?

Let’s have an open discussion.
If gambling is banned in a country, it is going to cause some persons to loose their job and they are going to be unemployed, some persons who work in the casino have no other job as that is their source of livelihood, meanwhile for some others they make a living out of gambling so if there's no gambling they will not have a source of income any more because and that can lead them into crime because they do not have any means of making money at the time, so that can actually lead to an increase in crime rate.

In my honest opinion i do no t see that a very vital issue of bother for almost any country a because it doesn't have much economic effect on them rather it can be a source of revenue generation for the country and so they should rather see how they can explore that industry and make most of it and make as much as they can from it for the country and the citizens too.
4  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why Nigeria is a global leader in BTC and crypto trade on: July 07, 2025, 11:43:31 PM
One thing about  many Nigerians be say dem.get hustling spirit and that thing don dey make dem dey find way to dey keep d small wey dem don gada so dat make e no scatter or day e reach time wey dem wan use am d money don loose value dis na one reason wey be say many pipo wey be Nigerians dey put bodi for d crypto mata wey come dey make am say Nigerians dey top for all this exchange come.dey help us dey rank top steady especially for Africa.

5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting led to a horrible case on: July 07, 2025, 11:25:16 PM
Killing was going overboard for a case of cheating in gambling,  it would have been even better if they had expelled the gamblers it would have been even better as they will never be allowed to gamble and they will get rid of the cheating in the game. There's always a room for restrictions and not to take someone's live. I don't care how much was involved in that game or the gamble, it's not worth anyone's live at all.

Some persons are extremist and would go any extent to get things done, just like going to kill a fellow player because they cheated in a game. But as a gambler be mindful of the kind of persons you engage in gambling with them so you don't end up loosing very important things in your live and even to the extent of loosing your live.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: World Cup Qualifiers - CAF. on: July 07, 2025, 11:04:10 PM
That is the reason that you see most Nigerian players in their various club's performing very well but when they come to they home clubs the perform normal without any input and shows if lack of motivation, this is the impact of corruption in the management of the Nigeria football team, supper eagles are now vultures without any results lately, and past events shows a lot of discontented in management which is the major challenges facing the 9ja main team.
Most Nigerian player only play for the Super Eagles for the sake of patriotism, ordinarily they don't get the kind of treatment they get abroad at home playing for the Super Eagles. The treatment given them out there serves as the motivation for them to perform the way they play and make name put there.  The  corrupt management system has actually birthed a whole lot in the team such that they have little to no faith in the management,  there was a time one of the players of the team had to pay for some bills for the team.

If the management team is fixed you will see that the team is gradually improving and they will do even more numbers than they are doing now. The team has got good and vibrant talent that can get the team more trophies and accolades to the team and themselves.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we make Bitcoin accepted world wide? on: July 06, 2025, 11:05:51 PM
Personally I believe some things happens naturally,  in the case of Bitcoin,  it is going to be natural that Bitcoin will become a currency that will be generally acceptable globally,  the recognition Bitcoin is gaining by the ROI it get from trading and investment is such that is catching much attention nad making more and more people want to  join in on Bitcoin, so at a limit may not necessarily need all of that publicity by classes and organising of all of such programs.

Bitcoin is making wave for it self which is a self awareness to others so it may not really need the campaigns and advertisement,  it will only take time but it will be globally recognised to the point of usage. but it is necessary to make this advertisement to those who wants to know about it.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: War or economic conflict can create opportunities to acquire BTC on: July 06, 2025, 02:44:09 PM
All the opportunities mentioned by OP are truly applicable in situations where you can be able to utilise to get opportunities in Bitcoin acquisition because most persons at that point becomes vulnerable due to the situations at that point in time. In other to survive some persons gets their assets liquidate and they want to relinquish it to persons who are ready to acquire it or probably convert it into forms that can be redeemable in the future just like investing in Bitcoin and hoping to get it back after the unrest.

In the old days, some persons do liquidate their properties into Gold and hid where they will be able to redeem after the war or the economic crisis. For the winners it's the best opportunity to min as much as they can because at that point the power demand will be mostly from them as others may have little to no need for it and there will be enough power for them to use and min even more.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think positive mindset keeps you winning? on: July 06, 2025, 02:21:25 PM
Have came across many people talked about positive mentality or mindset while gambling, and of course it's good to have positive mindset or mentality while gambling but, to what extent would you keep losing to understand that not all time you would keep counting on positive mentality or mindset than drawing a close check of your gambling statics to know that you don't need only positive mindset rather you need strategies to get winning instead of keep losing without adequate planning.
I agree that positive mentality will not win the games for you neither will it overturn the results on your behalf in your favour.  But staying positive can help your mentality enough to keeping you long in the game. Better still it does keep your emotions far away from the game just to keeping you gamble better especially when you aren't gambling just for fun but to make sure you get some profits off it even if it's not often.

You may not have to completely relay on positive mentality alone but having it compliments your success and it's a very vital ingredient needed for your gambling habits,  I'd you don't,  you are likely going to be very impulsive after a few losses.  You may even proceed to getting bankrupt due to your impulsiveness because you really want to win desperately but if you have some positive mind set, you will just know how to handle all of that and not get to that point of addiction and loosing yourself gambling.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Am I a bad father for letting my daughter gamble? on: July 06, 2025, 02:11:20 PM
Gambling at the age of 17 is the only point I am seeing some inappropriate things, in my country of residence you must be from 18 and above for you to be allowed to gamble but in some other country I know it is even less in some other countries, nevertheless there are some kids with adult age and some adults with some kid age and so the age may not matter and so the person in question may be mature enough to handle Gambling but since they are not up to the age just petit will feel really inappropriate.

Since she has started gambling,  you should keep an eye on her or if possible make sure to stop her from gambling but if she insist, in other not to make her hide to gamble, guide her, sometimes with good guidance they are going to do well than they would gambling all alone.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC going to 120K in june ? on: July 05, 2025, 08:37:40 AM
$120K is very much possible in this July, this is just the fifth day of July and bitcoin is already up above $105k, although this was a build up from previous months but it can still hit that this July,  Bitcoin started off bullish this July,  all it needs at this point will be one major hit news and before you know it, high volatility will kick in and bitcoin will be up there, remember most often when bitcoin hits a new ATH most persons especially at retail level do delve in to the market because they see it as a bullish confirmation so the chances become even higher for further push upwards mostly when there's no news to trigger panic to the bearish position.

For traders, the push for new ATH is mostly an indication for them to be more vigilant because reversals can happen at anytime but for investors it's a time to lock in profits by rebalancing since they are mostly in for the long term as compared to the traders who wants to make profit on every market move, for them the volatility and movement are opportunities but for investors the summation of all of that makes them profit.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency holding to be considered for Mortgages. on: July 04, 2025, 11:49:28 PM
People who own crypto currency may have a good chance at securing Mortgages as cryptocurrency is about to be considered an asset increasing eligibility for it. I first came across this on X, but have had to do my research to verify the information before sharing here on the forum.
Quote
The Federal Housing Finance Administration Director William Pulte said in a post that he has instructed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to consider cryptocurrencies as part of a mortgage application. By allowing cryptocurrencies to count as an asset, borrowers who have crypto holdings could be seen as being in better financial position to pay the mortgage, potentially increasing their chances of getting the loan.

This is an indication that cryptocurrency is gaining acceptance and more adoption will follow.
If it turns out this really applies in this country,  it's a win win for the crypto community and the citizens of that country,  it will make it very easy for crypto enthusiast to using their portfolio to achieving more than just trading and holding their crypto assets.  The clear Indication that cryptocurrency is now gaining more acceptance and adoption which will further build more trust for some more investors to have a solid  reason to invest in cryptocurrency seeing  that even the government is accepting it as an asset to present while taking a mortgage.

This adoptions will not help only cryptocurrency enthusiast but will help with economic boost to the country where it's been recognised and incorporated into their economic space. The future around cryptocurrency is very promising and it will benefit those will will cease the opportunity now as in few years ahead it will be morethan what we have seen and known now.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Reaction to Economic Effect. on: July 04, 2025, 11:24:43 PM
Yes, you are right because long-term Bitcoin holders never worry about the price fluctuations of Bitcoin because they know that holding Bitcoin for the long term will definitely bring success. No matter how much turmoil there is in the world, Bitcoin is at its own pace and will continue to be at its own pace. And it is true that those who invest in Bitcoin do not worry, those who trade do because the fluctuations of Bitcoin cause traders to make profits and losses.
It has always been my style to make my Bitcoin investment mostly in the long term , I have seen over the years that it has proven to be the best and most profitable way of making some money from Bitcoin investment,  for the short time holdings and investment,  it has mostly turned out little or no ROI so it's best to continue with the long term holding , you will always have almost no effect from all of the market volatility which may transpare in the through the period of your holdings.

Those who wori most about  fluctuations are mostly short term investors who are looking  to gather some quick bucks from the investment, so they get affected by every slight move that happens and they notice it because most often their  eyes are on the chart trying to see what is going on in the market and waiting to react which further puts in volatility to the market unknowingly to them too.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes you win some time you lose the game of gambling on: July 04, 2025, 02:14:12 PM
It's really bad that he didn't enjoy his Profits, this is why it's advised to always withdraw your profits whenever you are lucky enough to win instead of gambling More...greed is actually the main problem here, sometimes you just need to be smart enough to know when to walk away...if you don't take your wins you will definitely lose it back..The mistake most people make is that they think that they can win constantly so they keep trying
Winning sometimes can make you feel like you can make more by the next bet so why not risk it all rather than just putting in the capital and taking your already made profit  only  to end up loosing it all at the end and this is exactly  the experience of many gamblers who shar similar stories most times.it only  takes another kind of discipline to immediately stop and withdraw your profit.

Some person can actually have this smartness to exit when they have made profit. But this can also have a lot to do with the kind of profit you have made because  there are certain profit you make that you are going  to have the taught to withdraw because you know  that you loosing  that amont due to your greed you are going  o feel terrible but if the profit is smaller you Amy want to double up and may end up loosing it all.

https://dailypost.ng/2025/07/03/breaking-ex-super-eagles-goalkeeper-peter-rufai-is-dead/

As the world is mourning the loss of a young and promising footballer Diogo Jota, Africa has lost a legend. Nigeria's former goalkeeper Peter Rufai is dead. He is seen as Nigeria's best goalkeeper. His career lasted for two decades and he represented the Super Eagles in two World Cups and several African Cup of Nations. The goalie also played for different clubs in Europe and was nicknamed Dodomayana. May his soul rest in peace.
A legend indeed,  not to Nigeria alone but across Africa,  his career was such that others in today modern football will want to be like him, undoubtedly his contributions to the Super eagles are memories that will never be forgotten, he's representations has forever remained memorable because of the impact made on the occasions of his appearances in various game.

Rest on legend,  your legacies will always be remembered and to the others who passed on yesterday,  may their souls rest peacefully.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you examine your gambling experience? on: July 03, 2025, 07:15:51 PM
Since I'm not gambling to make money then I don't have to examine myself because I'm not an addicted gambler. It's important to always monitor your activities on gambling and properly check if you are stepping out of line. Sometimes examine yourself and ask yourself some little questions, if you suddenly develop the urge to start gambling for Profit it means that your idea and your focus has changed.
Not gambling for money but for fun has to be a conservative way of trying not to let your emotions interfere with your gambling activities,  you may say you are really sure and certain that you will not get emotionally attached if you suffer losses because you have taught to gamble for fun but you  an get addicted to fun and it has not to do with the fact that you are doing it for money or something but that drive to have fun can put you at risk of addiction.

The urge to start gambling for profit though increases your chances of addiction but it helps redirects your pattern on your gambling approach and so it'd a different game from what I has been much earlier,  nevertheless subjecting this new perspective of gambling under serious discipline can still keep you gambling healthy and not loosing yourself gambling.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: World Cup Qualifiers - CAF. on: July 03, 2025, 04:47:32 PM
With the way things are going now, am forced to think that even some of the home-based players if they are allowed into the Super Eagles, they won't even give in their all too, because they are seeing the behavioural pattern of the NFF , they themselves are human beings too, and they won't want to be treated bad. NFF just need to fix up, if not for the fact that they want to be petty with the way they run the affairs of football in Nigeria, if not tell me what is the big deal in administering football activities across the country.
You just made a very striking point,  some home based players if given the opportunity to play in the super eagles,  they will only se that as a platform to have an international appearance and put themselves in a position to be in the international market for possible chance outside Africa where football can give them much more after seeing what other Africans and Nigerians are doing and gaining on the international platforms.

NFF officials needs to look beyond their personal gains and interest and begin to consider national honours even more, that will give them even a better reputation than they have now which by default will attract international engagements and investments which overall will benefit them again in the long run much more than the poor management system they operate within the NFF which has caused some players not to give as much as they do when they are on international assignments away from the super eagles squad.

19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Charts Correlates with the News on: July 02, 2025, 11:59:09 PM
For the traders here, have you noticed how negative news or narratives often align with the chart?

If you pay attention, you’ll see that just before a breakdown after several days of distribution, a negative news story tends to appear in the media, and then BTC dumps hard.

I’ve observed this pattern repeatedly, and I’m curious if it’s coordinated.

I’d love to learn more about this. Your opinions are welcome.
I'm usually of the opinion that the chart is a representation of the total behaviour of speculators around the world in the market,  its so clear that even the news are usually obvious on the chart due to the effect  this news on the speculators and economics of the nation as at that times whenever there's a high impact news you see candle stick build ups and massive volatility to the bullish direction or the bearish direction.

Going by this, my opinion has always been to stick to technical analysis.  Because in it reflects all of the activities of the market which is later represented on the chart. If you pay attention to technical analysis and a bit fundamental analysis younare good to go because  the resultant of the analysis is always found on the chart.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most stupid tool for criminals to use is Bitcoin on: July 02, 2025, 11:18:43 PM
The power that Bitcoin gives us has never been seen before, if someone told you in 2005 that sooner we will start seeing the worth of our leaders you will say impossible.

Today we can know how much Trump Bitcoin wallet is worth, the more popular you are in this world the easier it is to figure your Bitcoin worth, unless you don't share your address at all, this is the only way your identity remain unknown.
Sharing your wallet address is usually a matter of choice and people usually wants to know your holdings as a public figure who is into cryptocurrency, my personal opinion will be not to share it at all. I wouldn't if I'm in such position because that may expose me to some security risk which I wouldn't want to be exposed to especially as I'm in such a position of attention so that people out there will want to know all of such Information of me because of the position I occupy but if I have measures for security then I may allow.

I didn't have an idea about  what Bitcoin was as at 2005 and honestly I really do wish I did, maybe now I would have been amongst one of the top crypto millionaire currently.
