Works great!

What is with bca.multipools.club not finding any blocks since yesterday though?

Nice to see some more hash pointed this way. We're certainly due for a block!

One of my miners dropped down to 0 hashrate but it’s definitely online and working, can that mean I found something?

No solo blocks have been found today. You should restart your miner.

I Only use miningrigrentals!
Nicehash is very complicated in my opinion.

it is cheaper and I had a major issue with miningrigrentals

What kind of issue did you have with MRR? I've never hit a block with rentals from Nicehash (I've spent 25+ BTC over the years with them). I've hit several solo blocks using MRR and my last block here was with a rental from MRR. I'm sure it's just luck but I'm still skeptical of them.

Any bets, now that Halong is going to publicly display the rig in Miami this weekend, that they step out from under their veil and open up their operations to everyone.  We'll see, but doesn't look promising.  Also does anyone know where in Miami this demo is occurring.  Conference center or back alley?

I'm guessing at the conference - https://btcmiami.com/

Helllo,

I have one question can I do anything at when update goes wrong and device is brick?

Any suggestion?

I just received 3 741s from MinerWarez this afternoon. The ones I received are definitely used and have some dust in the fans and on the wires (but no bugs from what I can see). They were not in the sealed plastic bags
Did you sent iquiry to them? I wonder what they will repy.

No, I haven't. I probably won't since they are working fine. If anyone else does, let us know.

Avalons having a solo mining Zen moment before being deployed to the mine.

I'm relieved that they are hashing away happily and have one more to test tonight. I'm a bit disappointed that they showed up used after paying "New" prices for them. I wonder if they still carry a valid warranty if there are any issues?

They were not in the sealed plastic bags like the ones I received from Canaan in the past and the boxes weren't taped up on the ends either (one was partially open when the FedEx driver handed it to me). I'm off to test them out and hopefully they all work. But I agree that they shouldn't be marketed as "new" on their website.
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: August 29, 2017, 03:58:35 AM
Thanks for the update on wire transfers, I am going to go the BTC route for my order.

I have another question I have a 2450W power supply built by amitylabs (ebay store) out of the states.

I know theoretically I should be able to run 2 of these of the 1 PSU but does anyone who has run these have any experience with what these actually draw. I have no intention of overclocking the unit and at max my ambient temperature will be 35C in summer(already past that) and 20-30C until winter hits when I will easily be able to keep it at 5C. (yay Canada lol).

Thanks in advance.

if you set it at -1  I think  it will be okay.

it does about 1075 watts at the kwatt meter  on -1

settings are

-2  =  1025 - 1050
-1  =  1075 -1100
0   =  1125 -1150
+1 =  1175 - 1200

I was wondering how many people run theirs on +1 and is it stable?

15  Economy / Services / Re: Community Feedback- Any interest for Asic/GPU Hosting service in Upstate NY on: August 26, 2017, 10:49:30 PM
Depending on your electricity rates and how much you'd charge per month per miner for hosting, I have some interest as well (initially it would be a few Avalon 741's with growth potential if everything is working well). Would you be able to provide VPN access to the miners via OpenVPN or another means? I just like to be able to remotely control my gear as I currently do with another hosting provider.

There is a cheap RIGH hosting in Nevada

Only $100 per RIG with 6 GPU's.

KVM and PDU included!

www.cerad.net

Do you offer hosting for ASICs as well? Specifically Avalon 741?
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: August 16, 2017, 03:04:28 PM
Well I'm guessing Canaan isn't going to be responding to, nor updating, my payment ticket. Eight days has past since getting the scripted statement about "Lily will handle this issue."
I have always thought of Canaan as decent and reliable seller, this is a huge letdown  Angry

Same for me...they just stopped responding to me all together  Roll Eyes Sad...so sad

reply to my trying to get the BTC payment info for the order I placed on the 8th. Now hopefully 'Steve' will complete the loop so the miner -- and replacement fan for a 721 -- start heading my way...

That's funny to me as I'm Steve in FL, I'll message them again and see if I get the same response  Grin Also, their web site says OUT of STOCK. Shipping Starts August 23.
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: August 15, 2017, 02:47:19 PM
It's times like these that I miss the days of an Israeli–Swedish–American–Chinese competitive asic market (damn, three years seems like a decade in this corner of technology)

Amen to that! Miss the good 'ol days  Grin
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: August 15, 2017, 10:15:33 AM
has anyone got any response back from Canaan? Their last answer to my ticket was 3 days ago, no feedback anymore since then

Still waiting...it's been over a week now  Cry

Another day and no payment address  Roll Eyes
