Hi, I'm trying to get nicehash to point to ck solo just to try my luck. I point to port 4334 with 1 million diff. But the connection keeps on being on and off. the reason given is that the diff is too low. But I used pool verifier, and everything passed. How can I solve this? Any suggestion of rental hash power on ck solo?

Try placing a standard order and not fixed order. Nicehash fixed rental always has a problem while mining on solo CK and eventually the order gets cancelled.

If you are mining with standard then I would say give some time for difficulty to adjust. Personally I never had a problem with standard just fixed one gives me a lot of trouble.

While no one was renting, I updated the rental port 4334 to have a minimum diff of 1 million.

To those who rent: how much hash do you usually rent and how long? I’m thinking of trying my luck but I don’t know a good amount to try with.

Hello fairly new to this. When I am on the solo users page and it shows my workers and their shares, is there anyway to tell on that page if one of my miners found a block?

Thank you.

This page has all the blocks that have been found by people mining solo.  Shares really don't mean anything when you are mining solo.

When your wallet has +12.5btc then you know you found a block.

All blocks here are smaller than 1MB. Does this pool support SegWit? Extra SegWit data is being included in the blocks?

That block explorer NEVER shows the segwit component so it will ALWAYS show blocks as being smaller than 1MB.
Here's one of our blocks on a different explorer that differentiates "size" from "stripped block size":

One of my miners dropped down to 0 hashrate but it’s definitely online and working, can that mean I found something?

No solo blocks have been found today. You should restart your miner.

Is it just me or is solo.ckpool.org and de.ckpool.org down?

I can ping the server but can't seem to connect to the stratum ports, tried it from multiple IP sources to no avail. The statistics page via ckpool.org/users/xxxxxx seems stuck as well.

My Gekkoscience 2Pac stick is also reporting that the de.ckpool.org is down.

edit: and I get the same result when trying the solo.ckpool.org node

Is the solo and pool down again? Can't connect from multiple locations.

CK, any reason for the downtime? Might be useful to know if there are maintenance schedules. Thanks again.

I certainly haven't been planning anything. Previous one was an unexpected crash. This time there appears to be network connectivity issues to the datacentre.

always when the ck carries out maintenance or any changes on the pool, it warns everyone. Most likely something happened in the data center.
