Okay lately have being observing bitcoin development & technical discussion, and any time I try reading any thread in it, it always like I'm seeing some language I don't really understand but still found it interesting.

Concerning bitcoin technical part.
Exactly how I felt, coming on here with hopes that I could find some things that would be explained in clear simple terms but no, that isn’t what I find and it created some doubts in me. Still, you get to persevere right. Any way, it’s having to stumble on here, can already see some very useful comments, with some references on where to have a head start and hope for some understanding. That’s very helpful guys, I think I would be need those as well. I’ll go ahead to bookmark that on my device for easy referencing. Cool!
it haven't being so easy for me either have been trying to study more about it through the links provided for Mr here. And so far it has been helpful at first trying to increase the lil knowledge I have about bitcoin and now I can see some crazy improvement. If you are still interested in learning I would advise you to also try the link provided by @n0nce @BlackHatcoiner and also @Amphenomenon   Grin

•What damages can a malware cause to your wallet?
•What are the signs that your wallet being attacked by malwares?
•How can it be prevented?
I think you're going at this all wrong. When it comes to malware, you should always assume the worst. Assume it's going to steal everything, and destroy all data on your computer. Once you've accepted that there is no safe online wallet, you can decide how to store your Bitcoins. So keep only small amounts on hot wallets for daily spending, and keep the majority of your coins safely offline.

"clipboard malwares"
See: How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V.
hmm this nice I. Know that hot wallet are easy to be target for hackers, keeping little asset there would actually be a smart move. So when it's comes to offline wallet which can you recommend for Me that would be more user-friendly. And easy to access.

Here is a proper beginners guide to start learning about bitcoin.

Here's the knowledge iceberg, IMO:

Level 0: Start off by visiting bitcoin.org.
Level 1: Learn me a bitcoin: https://learnmeabitcoin.com/.
Level 2: Mastering bitcoin: https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook.
Level 3: Ask questions in here and in StackExchange. Also, study the devguide.
Level 4: Documentation of Bitcoin Core: https://doxygen.bitcoincore.org/index.html.

General course around cryptography can also be helpful: https://crypto.stanford.edu/~dabo/courses/OnlineCrypto/.
I strongly support BlackHatCoiner's list of resources.
For anything technical (especially since this is posted in Development & Technical Discussion), I usually refer people to https://learnmeabitcoin.com/ and https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_Page.

For anything 'meta' (forum-specific), this post by Lauda is very helpful: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0
thanks alot guys this seems helpful but it won't gonna be easy. Nothing good comes easily though so I got to work hard I will start from the basic, and am learning I would also put what have learned to test or action so that won't just look like am just learning and not using it

Okay lately have being observing bitcoin development & technical discussion, and any time I try reading any thread in it, it always like I'm seeing some language I don't really understand but still found it interesting.

I've seen alot of users discussing here and helping others with issues relating to bitcoin technical part, and first when I came to this forum most users told me inorder to understand this forum you got to learn and also contribute and I would love to contribute still by helping others.
I think you should have posted your question in the beginners and help section. But to answer you, the best way to understand Bitcoin is to be active in this forum. The more time you spend reading through posts, the more you'll learn.

You also need to choose what aspect of Bitcoin you want to focus on. If you're interested in the technical side, study codes and techniques used. Personally, I wasn't into coding, so I focused on understanding how the system works without delving into coding. Bitcoin has many areas, so decide where you want to specialize. Don't be swayed by what others earn from this board(merits)but rather focus on learning instead.

What are the resources required to lay strong foundation.
Concerning bitcoin technical part.
During my early age and now, when ever I wanted to understand something about Bitcoin technicalities I usually read this book Mastering Bitcoin on GitHub. It gives a fully explanation of how the Blockchain, transactions, wallet and so many other thing works. All you have to do is to try and follow along as you read through get a real wallet and try observing each thing that is being taught.

I Recommend to read this as a beginner. Then later you can journey further into other advanced aspects.

thanks for the tips clearly understand what you are trying to say but if may ask when you where trying to learn about technical part of bitcoin how how did it go ? Did you later mater the technical part about bitcoin and all that.🥲 Because the wait things going is like you later give up on it and a find new aspect to focus on right

Quote
Well based on my understanding there is no special resources that are been studied to be part of the technical discussions.

I'm also a newbie interested in technical knowledge but I know what is required is a basic knowledge of coding.

learning about bitcoin technical is something that I find super exciting and awesome too but is not an easy task because most of my friends in this crypto space don't really understand the technical part about BTC so I wanted to learn it so that any time they are facing any issues I can be of help to them and they can call on me like captain Marvel

While I will take you guys opinion and advice to heart and try to be active more and more so that I can accumulate more knowledge as am accumulating more bitcoin.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much knowledge is enough to satisfy an individual on: January 21, 2024, 07:37:09 PM
One thing you need to know that, that is how human nature works so you don't need to stress yourself overthinking it, because if you are in their shoes you will also do the same. If you have alot of bitcoin you still be hunger for more so that how things work.

Quote
Additionally, I have seen so many academia , professors , yet they are still fighting for more knowledge, and the question here is when will they be satisfied?.
for example you are a body builder and you stop doing some workout you'll see your body losing shape. That you got to keep on hitting the gym, that how it is they are learning more to keep the previous things they know going and expanding it. Because if they stop chasing for more knowledge they would gradually lose their previous ones.

Quote
Even in this forum I have also seen high ranked members who are staff and with thousands of posts and merits yet they also post every day hoping to be merited as well , and the question again here Is when will they be satisfied?
. I'm not actually sure about that, about the hoping for merit stuff is ranks like ours that usually hope for merit. They just post what would benefit others and those that got benefitted may decide to merits them, we can't just say because they are hero or legendary members they don't deserve to be merited.

Quote
Finally , I have also seen my friends bitcoin wallet with so many coins in dollars yet they buy bitcoin every day , trade everyday , HODL coins everyday , so the question here is when will they be satisfied?
However, I will be very glad if someone can highlight more on this and educate me more thanks .
that's the sprit there's no stopping in accummulating  more Bitcoin. Because the more bitcoin you accumulate the more your profit that why most bitcoin investors focus on using DCA.

8  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2024 is lonely year, after marriage become even more lonely on: January 20, 2024, 06:41:47 AM
To be honest with this few details you dropped. Most people won't be able understand what you truly facing because they don't know what caused it or lead to the loneliness at first but they can try and assist you they way they understand and  that could help you too. Knowing the coursed and finding the solution actually depends on you.

On your post you said getting married, life become twice lonely. I don't that is true it's depends on the individual not the terms of getting married.

I know to have friends around is fun and awesome too, but first try your best to not be a stranger to you family before thinking of friends. Because true friends are the ones that stays with you no matter the damn situations. You got kid right? Why not make he or she your instead before thinking about those friends that left.

Create time for your families and love ones, and enjoy moment you spend with them eventually good friends gonna come around, just focus on your families and yourself first.

I won't actually say much. I'm still running on that thought, is like the referrals whose also the miners are selling their personal information for profit. 🤷

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Warning ⚠️ ARGENT WALLET DOWN!! on: January 19, 2024, 10:37:10 AM
I don't think most people here would be worried about that if what you saying is true.

Argent wallet actually for storing nft and cryptocurrencies (It only supports tokens built on the Ethereum blockchain,) so you can't store bitcoin and other top coins on it.
So alot of people here might not be making use of it. They mostly focus on holding bitcoin only.

But I still check their Twitter page if I will see anything related to what you talking about. But I didn't so where did you get the news from please?🙂
11  Economy / Economics / Re: The world's logic favours income makers, not the savers on: January 18, 2024, 06:30:19 AM
Alot of people have that crazy mindset that saving of money make them richer (without any investment backing it up) come on that ain't right. In order to be financially stable try all means to invest on something that will yield you something good at the end.

That why cryptocurrencies is here ( bitcoin), though might be expensive for some individuals but it's not necessary you must start by buying 1 BTC, you can start by buying what the quantity you can afford for.  You can exercise the DCA strategies in time you surely see your progressing in an epic way. By then you start affording more than 1 BTC.

The reason why always recommend bitcoin to new users because is more safer compared to the others.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why I get less batching unlike before on: January 12, 2024, 05:43:09 PM
That of the clateria  of being a newbie you are meant to learn first before writing or making any post you know as a student you only ask questions about what you have learned or know.
But sometimes most users are newbie because of being new in the forum but have much knowledge compares to that of legends here.

When I first came into the forum I easily get criticized by my actions
just as @Doan9269 said you being criticized then doesn't mean they hate you I think was actually your actions that got them that mood at that moment. And I won't blame them I know haven't spend much time in this forum but have seen some newbies post trust me it wasn't encouraging at all.
That why as newbie let's mind our actions. And should be cautious of what we say.

•What damages can a malware cause to your wallet?
Silly question.
•What are the signs that your wallet being attacked by malwares?
How about your coin balance goes to zero in your wallet Tongue
•How can it be prevented?
Switch to Linux OS asap is the best prevention and protection..
99% of all malware is made for windows os, and you don't need to worry about this things anymore.
However, you still have to use your head to avoid common phishing attacks.

That would be really heart breaking and there's nothing you can do to.make it reappear 🥲

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would it be like owning a Bitcoin in 2024? on: January 10, 2024, 05:19:20 PM
Is blissful since holding bitcoin, bitcoin growth as being amazing since all those years. Wish I started holding bitcoin around such years it would have been epic but still is never too late to still partake in this great opportunity.

Back to you at first if you looking for 100% guarantee shows that you ain't ready. Yeah we all know that no investment can be 100% safe, even bitcoin but still the risk in bitcoin is not like that of the others alot of time many holders back then have given up on BTC but still end up making a huge profits. For instance during the 2022 around November bitcoin dip to the price range of $15k and alot of holders sold theirs in losses.
But some still lose hope and left theirs on their Dex wallet but now bitcoin price is at the range of $45,474 and this is just the beginning ☺️  because soon bitcoin will beat it's old ATH. So if you planning to invest on bitcoin always make sure is long-term investment.

16  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto: a place where everyone makes money, but few secure it on: January 09, 2024, 04:07:52 PM
The funny thing that with the knowledge you ain't still safe from losses you still gonna experience that shit because losses are inevitable (just like batman though he has good knowledge but ain't still safe in Gotham).
But the knowledge can help in managing those losses and risks. That why you got to be smart too know the best time to invest or as
@hugeblack said learned and considers Bitcoin a long-term investment and starts with DCA. With that your losses and risk will reduce.

BMalware may not likely damage your wallet. What malware will do is to steal your keys so that the hacker that steal it can use it to spend your coins. Malware may not steal your keys but able to make you send to a wrong address, like the clipboard malware. So malware will most likely compromised your wallet instead.
So base on your valuable point got me thinking you specifying "clipboard malwares" because clipboard hijacking Malwares normally copy data intercept data being copied and pasted and replace it with malicious code. That why they can replace addresses by changing it to the hacker address. So was force to make some research and found out that they different Malwares with different uses to hackers right
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Concerning Malwares on: January 08, 2024, 08:33:59 AM
Good day

I've being this forum for not quite long , coming here at first didn't understand anything about bitcoin technical part first time I encountered a discussion in this thread it seems interesting, got me feeling dizzy was like seeing some words haven't seen before.
But I was still moved to learn about it then I actually started learning about  technical part of bitcoin and I can see some improvement. But I'm still on the wallet part during my research found out malware can cause damages to our wallet (software wallet because is connected to intern) . And mostly use by hackers but still don't get it clear. I actually vibe learning from different sources and this forum one of them.
My questions are:
•What damages can a malware cause to your wallet?
•What are the signs that your wallet being attacked by malwares?
•How can it be prevented?
Any one opinion is appreciated, thank you.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit decay on: January 07, 2024, 03:14:12 AM
At first didn't know smerit can decay, was force to research about it because of this threads and came across post related to this.
Unused smerits shouldn't be destroyed but sent to merit sources after 1 month.
Didn't know we where also hodl smerit  Cheesy because what the extent of you keeping it when you know it will end up disappearing  (decay) when you should have just  put it to use than to let it waste.
Good grief i found out sooner. Anytime I have smerit I will quickly make used of it by meriting post worth meriting than to let it decay.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie, be careful of the Bitcoin information you process on: January 07, 2024, 02:25:49 AM
This when learning from different sources Is Comes in. Because kind of person that don't learn from one source Instead I tend to gather information from different sources (like in an RPG games 🤭).

Due to the fact that there's always a true or false information whenever there's any certain information.
And also you practicing learning from different sources will also help in proper understanding.

So not by doing research is by doing it properly,  Cheesy
