I think I can explain this to you with one of My Experience ,
once i had got accumulated 0.008 btc in one day with lots of Ref from Faucet zombie users , but my account had threshold of 0.0013 btc only so after 24 hours i got paid only 0.0013 btc only , next day i increased my threshold to 0.005 btc and some coins rushed by Ref i had total accumulated 0.013 BTC and within 24 hours i got paid 0.005 [btc] , so the higher the threshold you set the higher the payout you will get as i got in my case.

High probability of being Scammed in case of Paypal.

I recently experienced one of the cases and will not recommend it .Asking for 50-55$ is way too much for a Member Account , as nothing is on risk if you scam (assuming) then the trader have nothing so my suggestions to you:

1. Either change the Payment mode
2. Or decrease the Amount.

I Think individual Campaign Managers always take care of the Spam messages and don't endorse them , i have seen some campaigns not paying for full posts and users complaining them that they were not paid for their full posts and often say please count my most again i have posted "X" posts but have got only paid for "y" posts.
so from my point of view is that you(we users) can our self often report such cases to the campaign managers , i do have seen a lots of thread opened by users stating "Is that user cheating XYZ campaign".

Double spend are very rare as posted by " johoe" he told you that Mixer probably was the main cause behind the double spend.
sorry for your loss all i can give you is a suggestion on how to bypass this double spend , always use xapo wallets for receiving your Mixed coins and then transfer the coins from Xapo wallets to your Daily use Wallet like Blockchain ,  i am sure you wont experience double spend next time !!
