Did you take a backup of your wallet before installing the Windows Installer over the standalone one? I am guessing it must have overwrite the wallet file and which is why you can't find that address in the new one because the address you sent the coins to were in the old wallet.
Any chance you wrote the Seed of the standalone one? that might bring back your coins too, otherwise sorry to say but they might be lost forever.

Not really. There are too many free sites out there to host a paid porn site.
Niche is the key... i had some good earning porn sites in the past and also, depends of the quality of the content but thats not my question. I'm talking about niched sites like gay cams with BTC as payment option. I think you would be better taking the same videos and putting them into a DVD/BluRay on demand service. Yeah but the thing is that buying that content (enough to fill a site) is very expensive + takes a heavy server to host that. A camsite is much cheaper as you can implement cams from a supplier with API and pay on request. The idea is to resell under my own brand with BTC as payment option but again... this is not the only part, i would aim at regular porn visitors and present them an option and very short introduction into BTC and why its better to use for porn sites. I kinda have the idea this would create a returning and very productive audience. I don't know if a explain it well... |

There may be some demand but your competition is going to be steep. There already is a lot of pornography on the internet. However, depending on the attractiveness of the models/actresses you hire you could still make a lot of bank.
There is indeed a lot of pornography but are there many that accept BTC as payment? For the general porn visitor this is THE solution... no cc and anonymous. I know there are porn sites accepting btc already but i'm thinking giving the more common porn visitor (none BTC visitor) a way to get BTC instant and go from there. Kinda like taking a kid by the hand and giving him/her the short introduction to btc. |

WU has a MTCN tracking system (wu.com) that you can use to see if a money transfer is ready to be picked up, maybe thats an option - ask them to send the money and ask for the MTCN nr to see if it's ready for pickup but apart from that my advice would be: do NOT use wu!
You can however buy BTC for WU at established websites used by many users like Unichange (Google it) but you'll have to pay a fee.

Well to make a long story short i have been looking into prices and specs and sorting out what i need to startup an Adult Tube site with a paid membership for full HD videos that only accepts bitcoins. On the side the site would also do webcams but that would launch at a later date.
Is there still need/demand for a project like this?
