1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitminer.io real or scam? on: July 19, 2017, 04:22:07 PM
Let my post be the final "once and for all" definitive answer to whether or not Bitminer.io is a scam.

BITMINER.IO IS A SCAM AND NOT PAYING!

I went with the free 60K Satoshi daily plan and waited approximately 8 days in order to withdraw the minimum 0.005BTC amount. My withdrawal is still "Pending" with an added caveat. Apparently, Bitminer has detected that my IP address has another secondary free account listed under it (BTC Address: 18VcVHiULBuwex7vqYAaBq1XBsxoDqu2A7). I never made a secondary account and my IP address is dedicated (not shared). Due to this, Bitminer requires I "upgrade" to a paid plan in order to withdraw (yeaaah riiight).

Also worth noting when I first made the request to withdraw, I never received a notice on my account I was required to upgrade due to having "multiple" accounts. I guess this is Bitminer's way of having an excuse not to pay (as if they ever planned on to, to begin with).

You've been forewarned. DO NOT DEPOSIT YOUR BITCOINS TO BITMINER.IO. You will not see any returns.

Yup.  They told me the exact same thing.  They don't let you respond and any new ticket thy just copy and paste.    Not to mention.  Why the hell upgrade when you cant even send me my first payout.     Can someone say serious scam?

Basically.  If you use just ONE COMPUTER ONLY for it you might be fine.  But if you check the status from numerous computers.  Your SOL.  So that should be the first thing that screams SCAM.

Take this info and share it EVERYWHERE

After testing their service and hitting my payout.  I have been pending for over 2 weeks.  They can not provide me a legit answer as to why its still pending.
And they send 1 response in a ticket they close the ticket but don't actually let you respond.  So nothing is being fixed.

I have further gathered their DIRECT ip address as they use cloudflare.
Their DIRECT ip  (Their actual website)77.222.62.152
Cloudflare IP    104.27.125.78

So everyone have at attacking this Ip 77.222.62.152   (bitminer.io)

3  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: June 19, 2017, 04:56:13 PM
Hey.

Not sure if this is the right place.  Just not sure where else to post this.

Regarding Zcash mining on Slush pool.

Why is it that on average we don't find a Zcash block for about 1-24hrs?  We have a fairly high hashrate.
Other pools with lower hashrate can find them every few hours.

For slush it varies between 1hr and 24 hrs.

I live by slush's pool.   Just wondering why it can take us longer than some pools to mine zcash blocks.

Can anyone explain?

At this rate and cost for BTC miners I've almost come to a conclusion that I should just do BTC mining on the side and zcash mining (GPU mining) as my main as spending $1000-$5000 can give a quicker ROI and sweeter profit with GPU mining than spending $1000-$5000 on btc miners.   Infact spending $1000-$5000 I feel your lucky if you can make your money back in a year, let alone make any profit, unless your not paying for hydro.

So with all this knowledge we all have and slush has.  and the hardware and software we have.     Could there not be like a failsafe timout.  So if the pool notices someone hopping or adding and removing hash power constantly  and not keeping it at a steady one.  Decreasing the luck and the quantity of solving blocks in a 1-2 days.

I mean I'm sure there is away to track those kind of things.  I'm actualy certian. So if someone from a certain IP is doing that..  The Server thrown a few hour timeout period.   This would have to be over 2-4 times in a daily basis.

The server would learn who is hopping the most or who is adding and removing hashpower on a daily/weekly basis, which then tells the server who to watch out for and to throw a timeout on them if it happens to often.

It could work.  I know it can

Fluctuating hashrate has nothing to do with pool luck, gaining and losing hashpower will increase and decrease our chance of finding blocks but still does not affect our luck.

i agree with you alot. but believe it or not.  But Luck can be teased to making it more lucky.   Luck is just luck,... unless u cope wit the luck.. producing a higher % of luck.

5  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: December 06, 2014, 08:32:08 PM
Because I also dont know who else has noticed.  But this effects every single person who uses slushs pool.   Not just myself.     (I dont know why some people act like things have no solution or no hope,  or your stupid or make fun of u because you have your own opinion and a theory)
Yes, you have a theory based on some observations. That's fine. However, you haven't presented any data or proposed any possible technical reason why newly added hashing power is somehow less efficient per share at finding valid blocks. You're suggesting Slush change the pool to solve a problem you haven't shown to exist, and get offended when people tell you that no one is going to change the rules of the scoring system based around your opinion that you admit you haven't actually proven.

Thats one.  Because I didnt know people would get so picky if u just stated an opinion/theory and didnt have proof for them not to see.  I didnt know people would make such a big deal over it.       If I knew people would make such a big deal over it.  I would have been taking pictures on a daily basis  to prove it.

No I dont know WHY people are doing it.    All I know it.   a month or 2 before when it was at a stable hashrate for Slushs pool  we were having real fast and great blocks.   Now all of a sudden when its not stable were getting longer blocks.

No I cant prove this.  But it doesnt take a genious to figure it out.  All it takes is to watch the Pools hashrate go up 2 and drop 3 and fluctuate all week

Thus causing us longer blocks.

but Hey.  If you got any better idea.  Please..

Non sequitur. You still have not shown that the italicized causes the bolded. Slush is not going to make changes to the pool to solve your imaginary problem.

I like to know why everyone has to diss you every single damn frigan time you make a suggestion.     Cant escape it at all.

It's once again AN OPINION THAT ANYONE IS ENTITLED TO I dont know people have to diss you or question you every single time.  Instead of just keeping that to yourself.

It's actually a theory that I have been working on and monitoring for a few weeks now.   Forgive me for having an opinion and theory of my own that may help.

I dont know if you people know.  But Computers and Servers are pretty damn smart so long as u use it right.   sorry for having my own opinion.  Apparently i cant type or have my own opinion without all of u dissing me every time.

Sorry im human.

Well.  People keep adding so much more hashing power and removing it all the time...Thus it brings us long blocks.    If we stayed at 1 simple speed without it changing like 2-5+ times in just 1 week.      It sucks a week or so ago.  We were solving blocks like it was raining.   Now.  We solving them like turtles.    Slow and Steadily.

I wonder if people will stop hopping and increasing/decreasing their hash power.

Who am i kidding..... Why would people stop... that would be to easy

Please read and understand Cris ! Thank You !

I dont understand why people always say that.  It wouldnt be posted if i didnt read and understand it.  just stating the obvious thats all.  Than sadly you have those super critical people.    Shit if you dont like the post or the wording.  Dont comment.. simple as that.   Instead of commenting to make a big deal about it

for all you people new to bitcoin mining, it all evens out over time.

is mining for bitcoin still profitable? I stopped mining with my 1 th rig about 3 months ago because it was costing me more to run than i was making.
You were mining for the wrong reasons. It may cost you more to mine than you make at the present moment, but if you have faith in the bitcoin system then you'd know that in the long run you'll make more from your stashed away coins than you paid to mine them in the first place. That, ma friend, is the rub!

Have faith? Is this a cult now? There are no good reasons to believe BTC will rise much at all now. The "gold rush" days are long gone, I made mine with a farm of 10 gigahash Block Eruptor blades. Back when difficulty was less than the average jump this year. Since then any gear costs more than it makes before you pay for electricity, any money made in this years gold rush is by those selling you the shovels. Back to BTC, companies like Coinbase are doing a great job making it easier for merchants and consumers alike to use BTC. To a certain extent if more people use BTC as currency that will create downward pressure on its value. If there is a huge swing to using it as currency creating more demand than what is available, of course that will cause an increase in BTC value. It will also create demand for a "new and improved!" product and BTC will collapse. Like My Space did with Facebook. Yeah...keep up the faith.

I'm urged to comment on all this here.

I agree 100% with what you said.... you cant count your chickens before they hatch or w.e that saying is.

However,  I often read nad hear people saying you cant make a living off of Bitcoin mining.  However I have been doing many many calculations of different types of setups.   And I've come to the conclusion that.  Yes.  You can make a living off of it.  But having say a part time job would help greatly.

This depends on what you use for hydro.   I'd use solar power or hydro electric(Water as my conductor)   thus cutting my hydro cost in half.

Having the right amount of equiptment.  Sometimes the best of the best miners isnt always the best.

Sometimes having slow miners will give you a better result and less costs.

But again it all comes back to the waiting game.    If your impatient...Dont bother.  If your patient... than go for it all out.

This is everyone own opinion.  My thought though.... you could make a living off of BTC mining it all depends on your setup and all

Would someone explain this to me.  it goes from 39 to 97... How the hell is that even possible.  How is it -0.97

I know im not the smartest with this stuff.  But this seems completely abnormal.

Has someone started an Attack on the bitcoin network?Huh??

Just imagine if it all of a suddent went up to 977million or w.e it is.     We would probably ALL stop mining  because none of us would be making profit.   and have to wait like 15 days or w.e for it to drop.  Still.  I'm starting to thing this is some kind of DDos Attack to make everyone turn of their miners or something like that

PS.  It went back to normal.... But i still have questions.  Why did it even say that.  How did it say that.   (Could that happen?)     It would be nice to see the diff drop by 5 or 10
12  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: November 27, 2014, 06:21:43 AM
WTF!

Again a block with over 10 hours....what is happening at slush?

This blocktimes in this order with this times are not normal, if you are looking three month back.

What is the reason for this? Is it the pool itself or is there something wrong in the whole network?

Anybody some answers?

my theory is.  These people who keep adding the extra PH/s  and than taking it away for a day and than re adding it and than removing 2 and than re adding 1.

I've been watching our hashrate Drop 1-3PH/s  and go up 1-3PH/s all in different orders for about 2 weeks now.   It's driving me nuts.  Why not just pick a speed or a pool and stay there

I think this is why were having such long blocks.. Or might be one reason

Coupons are only good until end of the month. How many do you need this purchase? Do you already have one and need one or more or do you already have two coupons?

Right now I have 0 coupons.  I'm not 100% sure I can make the purchase before November is over.  Hopefully the first or 2nd week of December For sure.

Coupons are only good till November 30th.

I'd rather give it to someone who could use it by November 30th.  I only have 1 left.

All fine and Dandy there.      I appreciate it anyway.    Just Hope Batch 6 doesnt take to long.     but also doesnt run out to fast either Tongue

Where would the cheapest place in Ontario/Canada to buy S3s or website.      Ino theres bitman. But is there cheaper and more reliable sources?Huh?

Thanks alot :d

Looking to finally start upgrading my hardware from S1s to S3s hopefully next week.

I am in BC Canada and I would have to say bitmain would be the best bet for Canada shipment, I know there is duty fees, but probably the cheapest and definitely the most reliable.

Yea thats so far What I have kept coming back to.  Bitmain being the cheapest possibility.    Thats the only thing.  oyu bay like 1.2BTC to 2 S3s  so its a bomb diggity deal.  But than the import charges u pay.... thats when u getscrewed..  Not like i have money to pay for that.

Bitcoins = my only source of income during Schoool : P: P: P: P

And im trying to work my way up to buying materials to build a shack in m backyard for a nice little/big mining farm.
