161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: January 20, 2018, 09:05:57 PM
I don't think ethereum can overtake bitcoin within next 2 years.

I think a lot of people have invested in ethereum and just want it to go in that direction. Without really looking at the facts.
It's a good coin though but it's no bitcoin.

Beats bitcoin by recovery? What a lame thing comparison, bitcoin is a 10k+ asset. It's like comparing old moldy bread to a freshly made pizza.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitconnect Exit Scam - NEW on: January 17, 2018, 02:09:31 PM
Ah the day we all knew that would come..caused by greediness and lack of knowledge.
Thanks for helping out though.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why all coins are dropping? on: January 17, 2018, 02:07:23 PM
Those who're claiming it to be yet another normal correction, normal process of up & down etc ... dead wrong, they're not able to look at and understand the bigger picture here. This is not usual correction where markets would crash in a jiffy and then rebound quickly in matter of few hours to day or 2 days. What we're seeing right now is a mega shift, earth moving from under alt coins' feet. With Korea & China moving to tighten up control of alt coin markets, this will have longer lasting negative impact on markets' health. In just few days we've lost about $500B market cap, people have washed their hands off of their entire holdings in panic sellings and they're in deep red right now. When markets stabilize, coin prices will never climb back to where they were before this crash, reason being again, people in deep red with empty pockets, new investment money would be hard to come by and it would take months to restore confidence before masses would feel comfortable putting in new investment money.

You can't change the fact that for the past 4 years btc has had a big dip around this time.
I think it will be the same old same old.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you need to see to go "all in"? on: January 17, 2018, 02:03:45 PM
I don't think anything on this board can entice me to go all in. The trust in new projects is never 100% for me.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The real reason your altcoins are currently going down (important) on: January 17, 2018, 02:02:20 PM
Your explanation was quite good and accurate. I would only add that now that it's possible to short bitcoin with futures, these whales have an even greater incentive to lower the bitcoin price. They will be able to get a lot of cash from their short on bitcoin, and they will be able to buy back bitcoin at a lower price after the dump, and then go long on bitcoin and manipulate it's price to go up. They know all the fud that lives through this market, and how is it is to generate panic selling and then fomo. And you are right, the only way we ca fight this, is to hold our coins and do not participate in their money games. This will be easy to do, once real adoption starts happening. Only then, they wont be able to ride the markets as if they were their private playground.

Yes exactly, with the shorting of futures. Being a bitcoin whale has become even more enjoyable..
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Regulation Must Be International on: January 17, 2018, 02:00:17 PM
International co-operation? Isn't that another word for letting america decide what to do? And telling their lapdogs in europe and the rest of the world how they should proceed?
No thanks. The countries who don't wanna be part of it will miss out.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MARKET IS CRASHING : WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS ? on: January 17, 2018, 01:57:34 PM
If you look at the graphs from last year (the last 4 years actually) you can see the market has always went down around this time.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a altcoin valuable on: January 14, 2018, 11:09:05 PM
As a newbie, I think alt coins become valuable if it is easy to mine like Burst or other alts that don't require heavy and expensive computers to mine.

Something can be easy to mine but have no solid tech behind it at all. It needs something more than being easy to mine I think.
A clear purpose is more important imho.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC of bounty hunters on: January 14, 2018, 10:34:04 PM
I'd rather not participate in a bounty then to give my privacy up to some random people.

Bounty programs are asking bounty hunters to do KYC before they are paid for work done . What do you think of this development.
If this was requested for as one of the basic requirement for the bounty, no problem. But if this was not stated from the beginning then it is very wrong to bring this up along the line.

If the latter is the case that would be ridiculous.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's in 2018 on: January 12, 2018, 08:05:49 PM
Any idea how many new ICO's will be launched in 2018.What will be the future of new projects.
As we can see in 2017 It's like a bubble everyday new ICO's with few pages whitepaper, just a business plan no founder details,no physical address.
This question seems very difficult to answer . There is an abolute mayhem of ICOs out there . Thousands of ICOs are launched in months and that is the reason why it is hard to keep an eye on their number . Many ICOs are just made for the personal benefits and are just short termed . The condition of ICOs this year might get some improvements and we might get some relief from the shit ICOs .
Many countries have regulated ICOs and that is the reason why the genunity level of the ICOs might increase this time . There are many ICOs out there which are genuine and reliable to invest on , but most of them are just the types of ICOs which are going to be dead in months .

Almost every project, every company has been founded for people's own benefit. Doesn't mean they can't have a good idea behind them.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AIRDROP] MUSDcoin Launch - GET 100 FREE coins with only registration on: January 12, 2018, 08:02:44 PM
If you want people to join your project, a little more information in the op would be better.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KFC releases Bitcoin Bucket on: January 12, 2018, 07:31:07 PM
KFC releases Bitcoin Bucket

Not yet a day has passed since the company KFC announced the release of Bitcoin Bucket in Canada.

As they say on the official website, the batch will preserve the classic recipe, and delivery will be made only within Canada.

Also on your page in Facebook KFC report: "KFC Canada is representing Bitcoin Bucket. Of course, we do not fully understand what Bitcoin is and how it works, but it can not become an obstacle between you and the delicious chicken. "

More

This is awesome. I hope this gets the ball rolling and they will start doing btc buckets in more countries  Grin
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP or XLM on: January 12, 2018, 07:21:17 PM
Going with xlm as well. But more from a profit making perspective, I think in the end there is more profit to be made with stellar.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is yobit exchange scam? on: January 12, 2018, 07:19:29 PM
Scam might be a big word to use. But I always see wallet problems with many coins on their site.
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Ethereum? Second largest cryptocurrency on: January 12, 2018, 07:15:52 PM
So what are you trying to say? We have all seen the charts yes. And what's your point?
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DET]Dragon Exchange-new cryptocurrency exchange(airdrop) on: January 10, 2018, 05:30:11 AM
Hi, can you update me from member to full member, because by the time I applied for airdrop I am just a member and now my rank is full member. Is that possible to upgrade me to full member inside the spreadsheet? Thanks.

Only the dev can do that. Maybe he will go through the list and update the ranks as most people have probably ranked up since the registration.

I have ranked up as well, and indeed most people probably did. Dev will you check this or do we need to message you again?
Great time to launch an exchange.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: eth going strong on: January 10, 2018, 03:44:08 AM
Ethereum prices went through the roof lately, I thought things were moving too fast but eth is doing surprisingly well.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge - Hold or dump ? on: January 10, 2018, 03:42:35 AM
I use doge for trading but I have never thought of it as a long term investment, memecoin and no real development.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Ether Wallet is not Compromised - What the FUD? on: January 10, 2018, 02:32:10 AM
I made a research, of my own, and I found out that MEW's Twitter (with check) blocked EthereumBlue and that was happened last year. And so, there was a Twitter account pop out with a handle @myetherwalIet having a .bid website, that was the MEW they trying to elliminate, not the original MEW. Too sad for Blue.

Thanks for the explanation, was already checking my tokens while getting an eerie feeling  Grin
