1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin First Billionaire: Winklevoss Twins on: December 10, 2019, 03:56:41 PM

Does anyone know who the other bitcoin whales are?

This article (https://bitfortune.net/bitcoin-whales/) talks about a few of them. Not many, but people who really thought ahead. Nicely played.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Gold Became Money and How Bitcoin Can Become Money on: December 09, 2019, 03:46:16 PM
Very interesting read. Thanks for sharing.

As you said, we are still very early on with Bitcoin... it is hard to predict what it will really become. But so far, Bitcoin has been standing against the test of time: 10 years is not long, but at the same time, 10 years today would be equivalent to many and many decades of before, as technology advances exponentially.

If we look past the idea of making quick money, Bitcoin offers a different solution to our financial system: an alternative to this inflationary process that eats away people's buying power (and lower-income individuals will feel that the most). In this case, I believe that the intangibility of Bitcoin works in its favor, as it won't become, as gold did, a physical object that demonstrates wealth.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: November 28, 2019, 12:02:23 PM
I agree...Bitcoin is a lot more than just an investment asset. Yes, some people invest in it with the intention of high returns in little time...

But the real power that it has to help all the people becomes clear when you understand that Bitcoin is more than just something to make you rich quick... with wide adoption it allows us to have a new financial system based on decentralized technology and not gatekeepers like national banks, controlling how much money they will print and therefore how much of your money they will devaluate.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins are left? on: November 25, 2019, 04:21:38 PM
That is an interesting question... and I happened to read an article about that last week.

According to Coinmetrics on their article (https://coinmetrics.substack.com/p/coin-metrics-state-of-the-network-d2e), by block 600,000 there were at least 1,500,000 coins lost... and that can happen for several reasons, in different magnitudes: you have the 50 genesis coins, stolen or zombie coins, duplicate transactions (yes, duplicate), unclaimed rewards and so on...

It is hard to say for sure, of course. We don't know if the zombie coins are just being strongly hodled or if they are in fact lost.

One way or another... interesting read. Highly recommend!

ENGLISH version:

Hi Dan,

and the others.

this is Rasmus the Community Manager for Cyberian Mine. (Although please accept my apologies for my bad German, as I am actually Danish). I was first a customer of Cyberian, and now I am an investor in their equity as well.

We understand there are a lot of scams in Crypto, and unfortunately a lot of those were in the Mining space too. However we pride ourselves on transparency and would happily meet you in Berlin, or have a chat on the phone to help you learn more about us.

In the short term the best thing would be to join our Telegram chat: https://t.me/Cyberianmine There are a few other Germans in there, although we tend to speak English as we are in the predominantly English speaking startup scene.

We have sold out of the S17s for now. However we have a few Z9 minis left. And you can also now get a presintalled S9. The market for hardware moves quickly, and we are always trying to get the best machines at the best prices for our community.

And thank you for the kind words vinci. I'll personally be at the Miami Mining Summit (Mining Disrupt Conference) in July, maybe see you there!
6  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Hosted Mining. Made Simple with Cyberianmine.de on: June 09, 2019, 11:01:49 AM
So I've recently started using Cyberianmine and I can say that I'm quite satisfied with the results.

The platform needs quite some updates (a good dashboard would be nice), however the staff is friendly and is incredibly fast with their replies.

Setting up the miner was incredibly easy:
1. Order the miner
2. Receive a form to fill in
3. Mining starts

This was all done in a matter of hours --> no long waiting process, quick results!

Extra cool, they've got a discountcode now, which gives €25 off per item!
Code: crypto25

Hope this helps some people!

EDIT: In general I'm pleased with the service they are providing, and based on the talks I've had with the staff, it's looking like a promising company

Hi CrytoMiningKB

First of all Im glad that you like our services.

The company started out last year and has been through a lot to get to this point, but getting the best cutting edge market prices and green hydro mining locations has been top priority and always will.
But I can tell you, that hard work is still being done behind the curtains and we should have a working dashboard sometime after this summer of 2019. But to give a little teaser I have here posted 4 screendumps of a prototype of the dashboard.

*Please disregard the 3rd one where it mentions ‘Antminer S9 mini’ as this model doesn’t exist
of course😁

Recently, Hdac Tech - Korean branch appointed a new leader, Michael Yun as its CEO. Michael is an elite from Korea University with experience working in Shinhan Bank, one of the biggest banks in Korea, for over 20 years. He strives to make Hdac Tech a revenue-producing company that lists in the NASDAQ market within 3 years. He is also very hardworking as shown by his willingness to work even on the Korean Thanksgiving day to manage a chain split attack within a couple of hours. He woke up and 2AM and worked for 20 hours straight.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LIKE IT OR NOT, BITCOIN IS AN INVESTMENT on: September 30, 2018, 03:22:13 AM
Many people still thinks that bitcoin should be a currency. They stick to main idea, i understand. On the other hand, bitcoin is really great and offers alot of benefits to its holders. I think it’s a really good investment and i don’t have any problems with that.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO PEOPLE STILL HAVE CONFIDENCE IN BITCOIN? on: September 30, 2018, 03:19:28 AM
Apparently some of them really started to loose their faith. But for me, i still believe in bitcoin and feel calm because i know that everything will be fine. Patience is the key, we all know that.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bought bitcoin at $20k last year on: September 30, 2018, 03:17:11 AM
Well, i think many people also have been there. It’s very important to choose the right time before buying any coins. But no need to worry, just be patient because bitcoin will have a really good future. No doubts.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No women in Bitcoin you say? on: September 30, 2018, 03:13:37 AM
Women are everywhere dude. No need to be surprised at all. I think we all should appreciate women more, because many of them are really smart, intelligent and hardworking creatures. They deserve to be respected and they surely inrested in bitcoin Cheesy
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your investment strategy? on: September 30, 2018, 03:11:11 AM
I usually choose hold to die especially if i’m not sure about what to do. The market seems very unpredictable sometimes. And i don’t wanna make a wrong move so i just think it’s better to wait. I mean, it’s not a proper strategy but at least i hodl.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold?? on: September 30, 2018, 03:08:18 AM
To be honest, sometimes i think its even better than gold. I really love being into crypto and btc from the day one. I like how its getting stronger day by day. And i see that people just getting more curious about it. Apparently the future is bright.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you know its time to sell your altcoins? on: September 28, 2018, 10:21:11 AM
The truth is i never know the right time to sell my altcoins. Well, there is no timeline or particular answer to know what time is the best for selling. I just observe the market and trust my instincts. Sometimes the result makes me happy but sometimes i regret  Cheesy
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto bring more risk than benefit? on: September 28, 2018, 10:18:15 AM
We always ask these questions but as i can see there is no specific answer. Because everyone has a different point of view about cryptocurrency. I admire the benefits of crypto eventhough it has some risks.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Shall I buy BTC? on: September 28, 2018, 10:15:24 AM
For me, i think i would give chance both bitcoin end ethereum equally because i really believe that they surely have a great future. They both strong and reliable. It’s actually hard to choose only one.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty is like a Box Chocolate on: September 27, 2018, 07:21:11 AM
Sure, i totally agree. I think i’m not a lucky person about bounty rewards but still keep trying. I don’t know what i will get in return. But i need more money same as everyone else. Bounty campaign is a good opportunity if you’re lucky to get a really good token in the end. It’s worth to try.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn token and coin free ? on: September 27, 2018, 07:17:50 AM
Well, there are many airdrop campaigns that you can join. On the other hand there are various bounty campaigns, too. Signature, translate or some reddit campaigns are quite fine.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be accepted in shops by 2025? on: September 27, 2018, 07:15:33 AM
It’s very likely that crypto will be accepted in shops by 2025. I think it’s a really good time for expecting that happen. Because crypto is still kinda new thing. But i’m sure everything will be better by 2025.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto on: September 25, 2018, 08:40:54 PM
At least you still have a job, lol. Next time you should be more careful because crypto is literally addictive. I know sometimes crypto looks so tempting but you can’t be sure about your future. I also think that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. So you’re right.
