hey, this is excellent news !! any planned ETA ?
Early June probably. Shouldn't take much longer.

btw, how will you identify old users with fees ? do you have the database of users ? I am among them and would of course love to have my fees converted to the new exchange
Yes, I have an old database of former mcxNOW users.

765  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [ANN] RAWX Altcoin-Börse (inkl. Vorschau) on: May 24, 2016, 07:09:17 PM
Danke sehr Smiley

Either way some points he claimed are valid. No credible admin/developer runs a exchange as 'hobby' project!
One becomes really afraid reading this. Keeping cash from other people isn't a 'hobby'.
Especially with all these exchanges going up in flames the last years.

Maybe I have to explain this a bit further.
I was 20 years old and studying computer science at that time. It being a hobby doesn't mean you do it less carefully, at least not for me.
It was a very small and exotic exchange anyway offering only one trade pair. I regarded it as my contribution to the Solidcoin currency project for which not many exchanges existed.
I want to add that all this was 5 years ago. Not many professional services existed and nearly no one earned their living from crypto currency services. Furthermore, the legal status of Bitcoins was completely unclear in Germany back then.

One more thing: I closed the exchange for a reason: because I knew that I wouldn't be able to adequately continue running a service like that, so I decided to close it.
Now, with all the experience I collected it will be a very different story.

So no need to be afraid at all Wink

What are your plans for the future and will you support the exchange even if it will only make minor profits at the start?
Backgrounds is this constantly opening, closing and reopening of the exchange pissed off a lot of users.
How will you handle this in the future?

I really had a lot of fun on the exchange (lots of drama). I am looking forward to the reopening and success.

Keep up the good work !

Thanks for the encouraging words.

I invest a lot of time in developing the exchange, so I will certainly not close it any time soon.
767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 19, 2016, 10:21:57 PM
So you're just going to ignore the fact this is not just a code re-use and is much, much more?

Classic diversion there, RS has taught you well.

I can barely ignore something which doesn't exist, can I? Or is it even the only thing I can do? I don't know.

But as it appears to me I am sure you believe that you have made your point clearly and convincingly. So let the dear readers decide I would suggest.

Best of luck to you. I'll take a look when it's up. I did some trading there it was fast and simple to use.

The closing  reopening and closing was painful. I lost money on fees. I think you are overly polite on why the exchange close but not wrong.

the chat room was informative not a lot of trolling.

Thank you very much. I am sorry you lost money on fees, but new game new luck Wink

I am looking forward to opening soon as well  Smiley

I was talking about the "dump" you predicted. But I think we have reached an impasse here. Let the future enlighten us all! The future is what matters, right? Wink

Speaking of future...

PREVIEW UPDATE: Thanks to iwillbuyall there is now a dark theme! I attached some screenshots below. He also made some good suggestions regarding UI design, many thanks for that as well!

You are migrating mcxFEE, to try to claim this is a engine and backend only transfer is total bullshit and you are proving yourself to be a liar yet again.
How does the fact I am going to migrate the FEEs support your claim that I am planning a huge dump? I can't see the logic here, sorry.

All you are doing is saying that I am a liar. OK, well that doesn't add much value to this conversation as long as you can't give a proof in any way. Just don't mistake a different view on something as a lie.

But again, you will be proven wrong about that dump. Am I then allowed to call you a liar as well? Actually you are even doing me a favor by warning about a potential dump, because that would allow me to buy back cheap fees.

To end this: all I can say is I have an absolutely clean record since 2011 and no one ever could rightfully call me a liar so far.
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 19, 2016, 11:44:10 AM
My post seems to have hit a nerve.

There are two great things about your latest post (from my standpoint):

1) I was already proved right about what I said in my previous post about you getting personal. I don't think that the smart people you wrongly believe on your side will be impressed by a big red font. So I can only hope that people are as smart as you say.
2) You will be proven wrong about the dump because I don't intend to sell any of my FEEs. And that is because I believe in the exchange and put a lot of work in it.

I know that many people have been scammed. But I have never scammed anyone.

But well, I went through that process once already: slowly earning trust.
And I am willing to go through that process again.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 18, 2016, 09:04:28 AM
What's important is you've already lied by stating mcxNOW closed down on good terms, you clearly tried to gloss over the fact that mcxNOW closed down due to lost funds - whether you want to call it a "hack" or not barely matters.

Please don't call me a liar. We clearly have a different view on some issues but that doesn't justify you accusing me of lying.
Maybe you have noticed that I never get personal here and even if that might be unusual in this forum I would very much appreciate if you could behave similarly.

Please acknowledge the fact that I was not responsible for any of the actions you mentioned and that there was no bug in the backend. That is all that matters for the future users of RAWX, because the backend is all that will be reused.
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 17, 2016, 06:58:29 PM
I understand your anger very well and I won't defend RS here.

But I want to point out that I wouldn't call that a hack of the exchange.
First of all, only one altcoin was affected. Secondly, there was no bug in the exchange code. The problem was an incorrect handling of the fork and running the node.

What's important is that I will be the new operator and the only thing I will continue to use is the backend. Not the frontend, not the choice of altcoins and not the way of operating the exchange.

Awesome to hear. Looking forward to seeing it in action! Can you also shed some light on how the FEEs will work? Like will it be the same as before, paying the appropriate portion of ALL coins every 6h, or how is it being changed?

It will pretty much stay the same. On the old exchange 75% were emitted to FEE holders and 25% were paid out as interest. Maybe the percentage of fees to go into interest will be reduced. But we will see about that.
However all coin pairs will generate fees that FEE holders will benefit from. Whether payout will happen every 6 hours or more frequently is yet to be decided.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 16, 2016, 11:11:03 AM
And with all of that, on to the RAWX topic. @Enlightened, are current FEE holders going to be invited to the closed beta?

Yes, all FEE holders qualify to take part in the closed beta.
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 13, 2016, 12:20:39 PM
Good luck with the exchange!  Smiley
Thank you Smiley

1. How far are you in the development process? When can we expect the exchange to open trading?
Frontend is 50% ready I would say. The exchange will open end of June for everyone. The closed beta will begin in early June.

2. What will be the trading fees?
Similar to what they used to be. 0.2% to 0.3% on each side. But that has to be decided yet.

3. Will you offer feeshares for sale before the exchange launches? 100k is the max amount of feeshares iirc, will they all be in circulation (by previous mcxnow feeshare holders) when the exchange launches or is there a possibility for new people to buy shares?
You cannot buy any until the exchange launches. 100k will still be the maximum and they are all in circulation when the exchange launches. But of course you will be able to buy some on the exchange afterwards from other fee holders.

Make sure to subscribe to not miss any news Wink

Klar doch, es wird langfristig auf jeden Fall eine API geben Wink
776  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / [ANN] RAWX Altcoin-Börse | RELEASE AM 7. AUGUST on: May 12, 2016, 11:10:00 AM
Website: https://rawx.io

Altcoin-Börse

Beta releast! Geht auf https://beta.rawx.io - Allgemeiner Release am 7. August

Englischer Originalthread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1465315.0

Liebe Cryptowährungs-Community,

777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 12, 2016, 10:42:40 AM
are you adding new coins to the exchange?

Of course. However I am not sure about the selection process yet. Right now main focus lies on development Wink

But the community will have a say in it of course.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 11, 2016, 05:42:39 PM
Thank you callmejack for pointing that out.

I didn't tell you, Spoetnik, what callmejack just told you because you didn't ask.

All you did was saying
AKA: another centralized exchange does not help us any at all.. c++ back end or not.
..what ever that means.  Roll Eyes

Welcome back by the way. I thought you were done after saying

- Well rather than cracking jokes you could have addressed my concerns.
You chose not to.
So i am done.. good luck with your "NEW" c++ exchange.
Wanna place a wager to see how long it lasts ?

Now to your latest post:

And that other account is you OP and we can all see it clearly.
What other account do you mean? There is one single account that is under my control here on bitcointalk, which is this one. But you see, this is what I mean: baseless accusations.

How about Transparency and some assurance / insurance against the owner walking off with the funds ?
My full name and address is on the webpage, because German law requires me to do so.
I am not an anonymous forum user accusing others of wrongdoing without giving proof.

Do you know how it feels developing, spending your free time on a project and reading posts like yours?
You probably don't, because you are obviously not a developer.

Please understand that I don't want to waste my time on responding to your posts anymore which contain nothing but baseless accusations. I don't have to defend myself in any way, so I won't.

Thankfully, there is other great feedback and people who support me which keeps me going.
Thank you guys! Smiley
779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RAWX altcoin exchange (former mcxNOW) to reopen soon | see a preview here on: May 11, 2016, 10:51:06 AM
LeChatNoir, I can understand your anger. Contrary to some others here you have justified your points, so let me address some of them.

Selling a big portion of the business while promising i will do this and that and 2 weeks later closing down the exchange without reason or justification can be considered scam?
IMO it is scam!

I see what you mean. However I announced that every bit you and others owned of the old exchange will be converted to 'fee tokens' on RAWX. So you will keep your share.

And what about the DOGE haircut?
Realsolid made the users pay for HIS mistake in that case!

What about the startcoins he lost and never refund, because he was too busy traveling the world and left the exchange on autopilot for one month forgetting to update the wallet?

All I can say about that is that I would have handled it differently.

Let me give you an example:
When Realsolid announced that there will be a hard fork of Solidcoin and the project kind of split (that was when he decided to go closed source), I supported both forks (which Realsolid didn't like at all) - because I didn't want to decide for the users which fork their coins should convert to, because I didn't want to make the choice for them.

What about the promise of converting existing solidcoins into shares of a new coin, what about that promise?
He's been selling solidcoins to his users for one year and one day said fuck, you're gonna have nothing back greedy bastards!

This is nothing exchange related, so it has nothing to do with RAWX or me.

Maybe "enlightened" is not Realsolid, but who tells us he's not just a low paid figurehead and Realsolid isn't still there running is new brand scam in the background?
You seem to be someone who is not a blind hater, but who gives reasons and who is open to reason.

That's why I would ask you to simply keep to the facts. If I was Realsolid or if it is only about 'rebranding', why even announce RAWX as the successor of mcxNOW then at all?

I have always had an understanding of my community's thoughts and needs and was willing to listen to them. And I think everyone who used to trade on my exchange can confirm that. And that is what matters now, isn't it? Not how RealSolid handled things, but how I will handle them.
