161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 is best year for cryptoholders on: September 08, 2018, 06:05:37 AM
I don't think we should wait for 2020. The situation may be better, but it is too early to call it the best year
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long Crypto currency will survive? on: September 06, 2018, 05:24:49 PM
How long is crypto will survive in this world ?

What could kill Crypto?
While there will be interest from the public and investors, the crypto market will continue to develop, to prepare new innovations for development. Of course, it is difficult to predict the future - much will depend on the policies of different states and public attitudes. But I believe in the excellent potential of crypto, at least for the coming decades.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS CRYPTO TRADING ADDICTION? on: September 06, 2018, 05:24:32 PM
I heard about a guy in Moscow, who jumped out of the window, because he lost all his money in crypto investments and trading. So, do we have a new free heroin here? Is it possible to get addicted to crypto?
Indeed, working with crypto currencies in many respects resembles a game with bookmakers or poker in its sensations. The same feeling of excitement, you start to worry and worry about your business. But over time, emotions begin to return to normal, you begin to think with your head more often.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I late to the party? on: September 06, 2018, 05:24:12 PM
I feel so late to the party. Coins now are very expensive, like $5800 for Bitcoin and $345 for Ethereum... then $5 - $30 for other coins. I take a look at the blockchain explorers and see big holders of coins, for example some people have 1000+ bitcoin, a lot of people have 500,000+ ethereum. These people got the coins when they were 1 penny each, now I have to pay $500 for the same coin?

Why are the coins so expensive today? Can I go back in time and get them cheaper?

Even if I put in a lot of my money, I only get a fraction of what people were able to get 1 year ago. 1 year ago people got coins for 1 penny and stashed 100,000 coins for $1000, now I have to pay $1000 just for 1 coin?!? I feel so ripped off!

Also I knew about Bitcoin when it was $30, and I knew about Ethereum when it was $7! I was alive in these time periods and was looking online and reading about these things but it all flew by!

Am I too late to the party? Is it a good time to get buy today or should I find a way to time travel back in time?

My frustration is BIG.
Of course not! It is never too late to invest in cryptocurrency, and if you try to invest on time, then the profit for a couple of months is provided to you
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why i will invest in Crytpocurrencies and forget ICO's on: September 06, 2018, 05:23:34 PM
Everything sounds quite logical and I still prefer crypto-currencies as the main investment and in addition one of the most profitable
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Crypto market collapse on: September 04, 2018, 06:35:23 PM
In any case, the crypto market will not collapse in the near future. Even in the times of correction and temporary decline in prices, it shows its stable development. And after the restoration of the state and prices on the crypto market, new investors will definitely come here, which will encourage development.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many will regret that they do not invest in cryptocurrencies on: September 04, 2018, 06:34:55 PM
Yes, I agree that people can regret such a situation. I am absolutely sure that over time the market will begin to demonstrate its gradual growth. Therefore, many investors who have decided to leave the crypto market will return to earnings again - it will be useful for them, and for the currencies themselves crypto.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Will Kill Cash ? Is this True on: September 04, 2018, 06:34:29 PM
I am almost sure that the cryptocurrency is capable of replacing the usual money. But while that is not always possible to pay by credit card, what to speak about cryptocurrency
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How A Cryptocurrency Needs To Work on: September 04, 2018, 06:34:10 PM
The design characteristics of Bitcoin makes it more suitable for use as a store of wealth rather than as a medium of exchange. To be more suitable as a medium of exchange, an altcoin must sacrifice some of these characteristics for ones more suitable for a medium of exchange.

1. Easier/Faster Mining
2. No transaction fees
3. A Small Portable Blockchain

Easier/Faster Mining
The difficulty of solving a block is not what protects the blockchain from a 51% attack, the hash rate of the network does. The difficulty only effects the block rate, which limits coin production and minimizes race conditions that threaten to compromise consensus. But an excessive difficulty prohibits miners from working competitively, resulting in a concentration of cooperative mining power and the potential for shenanigans by pool operators. The mining difficulty should be kept as low as possible without jeopardizing consensus so as to permit and encourage miners to mine competitively using less expensive hardware.

No Transaction Fees
If the block reward stays proportional to the mining difficulty, there is no need for transaction fees.

A Small Portable Blockchain
In order to keep the blockchain within a size limit that keeps it portable, old blocks must be deleted at the trailing end as new blocks are added at the leading end. Blocks will then have a lifespan that depends on the block rate. This introduces the possibly of destroying coins. Users will need to spend or recycle their coins before they get too old or risk losing them. This is precisely why a medium of exchange is unsuitable as a store of wealth.

I'm fine with everything. And some improvements are likely to be only after a couple of years, but not now. I do not think that such messages are generally something will change
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coin do you HOLD in 2018? on: September 02, 2018, 05:59:14 PM
Hi,
I created this topic to probe: What coin do you HOLD in 2018?
HOLD from early 2018 to end of 2018.
I HOLD: BTG, ETH and BNB (Each coin about 3k USD), i hope it will be up to 9k each coin ^^
In the current market conditions, I prefer to hold my trusted coins, which have an excellent growth potential after the recovery of crypto. Now I'm mainly focused on the promising work with Eth, BTC, Ripple and LTC. Also now I look narrowly at investing in EOS and NEO.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I give up earning money from ICO on: September 02, 2018, 05:58:33 PM
I know I have responsibility for my money. It's my choice and I don't hate anybody, I just hate myself
You exaggerate. You're just out of luck so you shouldn't get killed like that. You should on the contrary be happy that you have and do not worry about it
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did I get to the crypto world. on: September 02, 2018, 05:58:14 PM
My day started as always: waking up, breakfast and work. No signs of trouble, sitting working on the computer, cruising in the world’s net. A cup of freshly brewed coffee was expecting me, as you know nothing will invigorate you as much as this magical drink.
My co-worker stoped by and accidentally I found myself talking to him about crypto currency. I didn’t know anything about it back then, he said that he made 0.8 bitcoins in a year by investing 3055 USD and by buying asics. I took it very skeptically, but looked at the currency and realized that it’s about 6111 USD. Bitcoin didn’t make much sense to me back then, so I thought like “yeah good luck fella!”.  Although something clicked in the back of my mind - I really wanted to become rich!!! But everything didn’t start right away. I came down a little, I thought that it might be sort of a trick. After a while my bro came to visit me. He bought a new phone and expensive watch, you could’ve seen he made the $ himself, he had that “fire” in his eyes. And it all started from there, I found out about “bounty”, “ bitcoin talk” etc. I started to do everything to become a Jr. Member. All that time I wanted to participate in Bitcointalk Signatures. I was counting down days, hours, minutes, even seconds.. I found out about airdrop tokens at the forum, so I was participating there. I saw myself a millionaire next week, filled out bunch of forms, registered on Twitter and FB, started to be active on the social networks. After couple of months my expectations wasn’t met but I didn’t give up. And finally I became a Jr. Member, my first subscription Bitcointalk Signatures., waiting for the “bounty”, payments to finish, I guess everyone went through that. But after all that struggle I didn’t get rich. I figured that in a month I made approximately 0.1 Ethereum, which is like 39,72 USD. Although it’s not bad but it’s far from becoming a millionaire. The question was how to get Merit, since I’m a new member, I couldn’t write something smart and useful right away, was trying to respond with jokes, was writing something that I found in google but still I didn’t get any Merit. I started checking out the forum, found the topic - « Easy and legal way to get Merit », was learning the rules of the forum, was looking for the subjects that are breaking down the rules of the forum or published in a wrong section and reporting them. But my expectations wasn’t met and I still didn’t get any Merit. I started to freak out, I’m not asking for much, just a little. Of course I understand that you can’t get all at once, you need time, effort, perseverance, work, but you want it all at once, right?!
This is my story, I hope that it will be useful for someone and wish I could read your stories how did you become a part of the crypto world. Thank you all, good luck to everyone and I wish all your dreams to come true.

I started my way from the bottom and it was very hard for me to understand how everything works here. Judging from your story, it could have been a lot easier.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Super telegram bot - free on: September 02, 2018, 05:57:52 PM
There are a lot of crypto exchanges currently - Binance, Bitfinex, Poloniex, HitBTC and many others. And often when a new coin is being added to the new exchange, it causes a huge growth in this coin's price.

That's why we've launched a Telegram bot to keep you notified when a new coin just started trading or will start trading soon.

Bot link - https://t.me/CryptoHoundBot

The idea is simple: the bot scans API's of the main exchanges every minute and sends updates to the user as soon as sees a new coint or a pair. Often developers add a pair on API first and only then on the website.

Currently we support 25 exchanges + Coinmarketcap's "Newly added" page:

1 (Most important ones, emoji - 🔥): Binance, Bittrex, Kucoin, Bitfinex, Bibox, Poloniex, Kraken, HitBTC, Bitstamp, Gemini, Gdax, Bit-Z, Liqui, Okex, Huobi

2 (🚀): Cryptopia, Livecoin, Gate.io, Bitgrail, Quadriga, Quioinex, Tidex

3 (🌅): C-Cex, Yobit, TheRockTrading, Coinmarketcap

We also provide a simple and handy interface to select the exchanges from which you want to get notifications.

We give you a week of free trial to ensure it works and start  earning money with us. After that we're offering to purchase the bot and use it's full version. Also you can switch to a free bot version to get 10% of the signals.

A monthly subscription costs 59$
A lifetime subscription costs 249$

Do you want to earn money together? Join our referral program: distribute our service and get 10% to your wallet!

I can not say that I have great confidence in such exchangers. But so far it looks as cool and very convenient
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future marketing on: August 31, 2018, 02:14:58 PM
With Facebook, Google and Twitter crypto ad's bans where new projects will be promoted? Maybe we will see some new marketing strategies?
Bitcointalk is capable of replacing all these sites. It seems to me that here the promotion can be incredibly large and effective
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is the fastest? on: August 31, 2018, 02:14:39 PM
As Bitcoin becomes slower each day in transaction confirmation time, other alternatives could prove to become useful for everyday transactions. Cryptocurrencies like Litecoin, Dogecoin, and even Ethereum have faster transaction confirmation time allowing you to send and receive coins at a hassle-free way.

Thus, among the wide variety of altcoins, many have block times which are near instantaneous. Based on these facts, which cryptocurrencies do you consider the fastest?

I would appreciate if you would list it or them here.  Smiley
It seems to me that the absolute leader in this matter can be considered Ethereum. His transactions take place in just 10 seconds, this is an excellent result  Smiley
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin Cash will take place of Bitcoin? on: August 31, 2018, 02:14:03 PM
Bitcoin price is going down day by day..
Is bitcoin cash have that much potential to overcome the bitcoin?
I do not think so. It is not that popular and does not have most of the characteristics of bitcoin. A good copy and no more
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you think alt coin market will crash? on: August 31, 2018, 02:13:41 PM
Some people think it won't crash, other has been saying "tomorrow" for the past years.

But looking at the gains the last few months its hard to see this continuing for years to come. Can there be a long (3-6 months) bear market now to correct or is crypto too hot and will increase crazy up til implosion?

I'm thinking maybe 6-12 months of crypto craze left. Then crash (90% of coins loose 90% of value) and a few years of bear market before successful crypto projects starts making money. Pretty much .com again.

What do you think?
I don't think this market tends to collapse at one point. It seems to me that it will be possible only in 15 years not earlier
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this bear market continue? on: August 28, 2018, 05:55:08 AM
I'm just hodling since the January drop. Stupid me I didn't sell enough of my coins that time. Just wondering what are you guys doing. Still holding or you pulled out your investments in the mean time?
I don't see a continuation now. I don't know when we'll be able to get back to it. Unfortunately, all too large falls now
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will be the new king on: August 28, 2018, 05:54:53 AM
Now it seems to me no cryptocurrency will replace Ethereum or Bitcoin. While there is no worthy candidate for this purpose on the market
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be contented with what you have on: August 28, 2018, 05:54:39 AM
I agree with you completely. No need to chase something inaccessible, it is better to earn here and now. Because of this, many lose a lot of money
