In order to register a new alphanumeric asset on the Counterparty platform you have to pay the registration fee of 0.5 XCP (creation of numeric assets is free). Those XCPs are permanently destroyed thus reducing the total amount of the XCP supply. In addition, XCP will be used for smart contract execution, but as explained in the FAQ (http://counterparty.io/docs/faq/#why-does-xcp-have-value) the cost of fuel and registration fees will adjust so that the supply never reaches 0.

I saw that page, but its just about basic broadcasts and I am looking for something about publishing a betting feed.



Here's the example feed format https://counterpartytalk.org/t/publishing-a-betting-feed/1046. I'll try to find the wiki page and put it on the forum or documentation site.

If you have any questions about the betting feed I recommend you ask them on the forum thread I pasted. The support team or forum moderators should be able to answer them.

Yes. The wiki was shut down and the documentation transferred to GitHub/Counterparty website (http://counterparty.io/docs which is hosted on https://github.com/CounterpartyXCP/Documentation).
