The Counterparty Foundation is announcing the start of the two-week long voting period for the election of three community directors. Since voting is starting three days later than announced, we will extend the voting period till block 352718 (in about 2 weeks). There has been a change in the voting procedure. Few months back we’ve disabled sending dividend payments based on XCP balances to avoid spam. However, since Counterparty is a decentralized system, this means we have disabled this feature for ourselves as well. Therefore, we won’t be able to implement the announced voting procedure based on dividend payment. Instead, voting will be based on broadcasting votes. I just had to re-post this (originally saw this tweeted through counterparty) but my gosh I'm reading this now and it's got to be the BEST and most COHERENT article giving an argument for Bitcoin (both the blockchain and the currency) against those who think that the blockchain and currency can or should be separated. Specifically the argument clarifies why Bitcoin's best feature is the fact that it's an alternative currency and whoever thinks it's best features are the alternative use cases of blockchain as just some kind of glorified ledger or database needs to get their facts right lmao! I'm getting an error trying to login to Counterwallet. I tried all three servers that I know about (cw01-03) but they all gave the same result which was:
"No counterparty servers are currently available. Please try again later. ERROR: The server is not fully caught up to the blockchain. Please logout and try later. (Most likely this message is due to the server being updated.)"
Devs are looking into it. Should be resolved shortly.... Counterwallet is live. |

Is there anyone able to explain to me how I sign a counterwallet 2/3 multi-signature transaction/message with Armory, Electrum and Bitcoin.info addresses? Your multisig transaction is ready to sign. To complete the transaction, please copy over and sign the text below with the necessary addresses, then you will be able to broadcast it: STRING In Armory I can select Tools > Message Signing & Verification, paste the STRING and then choose between 3 signature options: - Bare Signature
- Base64 Signature
- ClearSign Signature
All three will sign the message / transaction but then what do I do with it? Guidance would be much appreciated. Instead of copy pasting the steps, I'm going to post a link to a Counterwallet tutorial (how to work with Armory).
