322  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: FPGA Miner Design for Sale to Someone willing to Market It on: September 18, 2011, 09:27:09 PM
You should add a poll to this thread. I'd probably buy one of the high end boards when it's ready and if I'm convinced then that it's not a scam (sending a prototype to a trusted person like one of the core devs might be a simple solution to get the required trust).
I think you'd sell quite a lot as this basically would kick most gpu miners out of the game (at least those who pay for their electricity).

324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MTGox unfair business practice. on: September 18, 2011, 05:11:46 PM
Incraft, maybe you should contact mtgox in irc and ask him why he requires the documents from you. Maybe someone sent stolen funds to you which you sent to mtgox.

istar is correct, ou agree to his TOS when you created an account. He has the right to ask for these documents.
You should look at it as a good thing.

Which tos? I don't see any links to any tos on mtgox.com. What sucks isn't that mtgox requires the documents (assuming this hole story is true), it is that nobody knows about that when signing up. You sign up, deposit funds and later get your account blocked receiving an E-Mail basically saying 'oh btw if you want to access your funds, we need your id n stuff now'. Again, assuming this story is true (I don't have a clue if it is).

Are you sure it's mtgox asking for those documents? Maybe it's some phishing attempt or something.
327  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: You must sell your bitcoins! on: September 11, 2011, 06:34:09 PM
Looks like I'm not the only one who missed the cheap coins at about 5 Grin
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Massive spike to $7 sunday 3PM BST on: September 11, 2011, 02:44:22 PM
Must be invalid data, there were no trades up to almost 16 bucks.
329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $7 Mtgox on: September 11, 2011, 02:19:06 PM
The guy(s) who hacked the forum probably cleaned out the mtgox accounts of the idiots who still use the same password on multiple sites.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: September 7th - 10pm GMT on: September 06, 2011, 06:51:33 PM
What is your gui based on? Will you use some genesis block data which proves us you didn't premine blocks (like adding some lottery numbers of the day)?
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Flexcoin Payments went out today! on: September 06, 2011, 12:20:47 AM

333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in France: first legal decision directly related to Bitcoin? on: September 04, 2011, 08:09:39 PM
Btw, isn't cryptography illegal in France if you don't own some weird special permission? I mean bitcoin contains quite a bit Grin of cryptography. Huh

335  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BTCMiner - Open Source Bitcoin Miner for ZTEX FPGA Boards on: August 29, 2011, 08:24:05 PM
ztex, just to be sure, the prices you mentioned in your first post are excl. VAT? And do you accept bitcoins for payment? Grin
336  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BTCMiner - Open Source Bitcoin Miner for ZTEX FPGA Boards on: August 29, 2011, 05:19:28 PM
I've a question about the USB-FPGA Module 1.15d. Version 1.15d isn't listed as supported by the SDK and the description of the v1.15d module says that the Xilinx ISE License is required. The free edition doesn't work with this fpga and the non-free license is freaking expensive Sad. Is there a ready2go bitstream available?
337  Other / Off-topic / Re: Eligius miners aware of prayers in block headers? on: August 21, 2011, 02:46:18 AM
I'd be pissed if my hashing power would've been used for this without notifying me.

339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is it necessary to close bitcoin client before making a backup of wallet file? on: August 13, 2011, 02:52:13 AM
Good question. I wouldn't trust a wallet backup made while the client was running. I think the file could be in an inconsistent state if it was copied while the client was writing to it.
The next question is if the client can automatically fix such a wallet.dat and if only the new changes are lost or if it breaks the whole wallet.

To me it keeps saying "username/password wrong" but both are definitely correct.
