9  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: OVERVIEW: BITCOIN HARDWARE WALLETS █████████████████ Secure your Coins on: September 05, 2016, 03:26:32 AM
Here is a misunderstanding with "lose our bitcoins on their website"

CoolWallet is a cold storage that holds your private keys inside the card. We do not hold any of your bitcoins or private keys on our website.
The recovery card is in use only when you damage/lose your CoolWallet.

Cool wallet is my choice can use it with any blue-tooth device , and just not usb devices , the only problem is that , they are asking us to keep a backup in-case we lose our bitcoins ,

on their website

Keep the recovery card in a safe place as if it gets damaged or lost, you will not be able to recover your wallet.

more here

https://blog.coolbitx.com/?isa_docs=generate-and-backup-your-wallet

but i wouldn't consider it for safekeeping my best bet would be ledger for huge amount of bitcoins and the bitcoin card / the cold wallet for daily use.

the best bet would be a card like wallet for daily use and a safe like wallet to lock it up !!!

Smiley

for safekeeping - https://www.keepkey.com/

for daily use - http://www.blochstech.com/  ,  http://www.bitcoincard.org/ and coolwallet.

recovery must be kept safe for all wallets , even for keepkey , so better to split up the bitcoins and write down your recovery key and keep it in a bank safe , thats the best way to safeguard your unused bitcoins.

10  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: OVERVIEW: BITCOIN HARDWARE WALLETS █████████████████ Secure your Coins on: September 01, 2016, 07:27:24 AM
Perhaps I should put : the most convenient hardware wallet. But that will take newbies a little bit more time to understand that it means great security as well.

CoolWallet is worth having because it gives you great convenience and mobility while not losing security. It connects with your smartphone via Bluetooth, giving you ability to make transactions on the go without having to bring a laptop for wallets that work with USB port.

CoolWallet has some interesting features but is priced at $119. You can get a Trezor for $99 or a Ledger Nano S for $65. The CoolWallet devs need to make a case, explain why someone in the market should pay more for a CoolWallet. Also the next gen hardware wallets like Trezor 2 and Ledger Blue will be coming out late this year or first quarter 2017. People who buy hardware wallets tend to buy from companies who have been around a few years with proven products.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying that CoolWallet is good or bad. My issue is people that do drive-by posts saying that something is the "best" with no other reasoning or supportive documentation behind it. Then... You click on the link and it's a referral link to the product. I'd like to say "Duff beer is the best" and then put in a referral link to "Duff Beer" but I don't. If someone says something is "the best, most secure, etc" I'd like to know why they think so.

Yes it is technically possible to use alt coin or multi coins in one card.
If you have this request please email to info@coolbitx.com.

Hello guys,

Here is the link where you can order CoolWallet.

Check out this demo video.

Introducing CoolWallet, a hardware cold storage device.
It can sign transaction offline and broadcast to the Bitcoin network via our app (free and open source).
It can also be used just as a cold storage as it is completely isolated from the internet.
Here is the link for you to see the most convenient cold storage.
http://coolbitx.com/coolwallet/index.html

How to make a transaction using CoolWallet?

1.Scan a QR code or paste an address using CoolWallet app

2.TapTap CoolWallet and press the button (optional) to authorize the transaction

3.Transaction completed

We are also working on a exchange site that will not keep users bitcoins but only fiat. The trade system is like Bitstamp where buyers/sellers post orders and deals are made when prices match. How does this sound?

The exchange site will go live in about a month. We will keep you updated.

Let's make Bitcoin easier and safer to use.  Smiley

This is cool idea. Is it possible to use alt coin, and is it possible to use multicoin in one card?

Here is one review:
https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-coolwallet-review/

There are more bloggers/reviewers ordered our CoolWallet. They should be releasing reviews soon.

A little expensive at $199 though.

My point exactly.

CoolWallet is now available on: https://coolbitx.com/coolwallet/product.html

Great news! Are there units available for review? Or any reviews out yet?

Is the CoolWallet project dead? The website is still up but the sales link is not active.

Hi,

CoolWallet is currently sold out.
Will start selling again in March.

Ok. I have received confirmation that the app will be available in November 2015 so until then I will keep the wallet in the drawer.
There is an issue with it. I don't know why but the battery is discharging SUPER FAST. I mean without using it in less than 48 hours is depleted.....

This is far from the 20 days standby time promised. Any ideas suggestions ?

Hi,

Could you please try charging the battery for three hours, and then see how long it lasts?

In our tests, after fully charged,

1. Turn on/off a few times a day, without connecting to the phone, the battery can last more than two weeks.

2. Signing transactions(sending bitcoins) four times a day, the battery lasts more than 10 days. (we are still testing and will be able to improve this with app update)

One friendly reminder:
The image in your post on 11, Sep, where you put the card on the charger, shows the card is placed in the inaccurate position for charging.
The ideal position is as suggested in the paper-manual, from the box, and as the image below:

I received discount code. Thank you very much! It won't expire, right?

When I looked Indiegogo page, I saw mBTC in CoolWallet image. Can we change it?

Below is the display pattern we design now.

12.45678754: 12.456787B
0.34698754: 346.98754mB
0.00034897: 348.97uB

How do you wish to change the pattern?

I see shipment of CoolWallet's should be happening now, have they reached that stage yet? I'm not an IndieGoGo backer so I'm not in the email list.

How long is it expected before sales are available on the main webpage?

We aim to ship your CoolWallets out before 30th May.
We already build a shopping cart that accepts Bitcoin payment.
We will start taking orders officially after we ship out all the Indiegogo order, approximately beginning of June.
