1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most peoples who bash on bitcoin are just mad on: December 27, 2017, 10:07:23 PM
Mad because :
1. They can't afford bitcoin.
2. Too late to the trend, they are jelous of peoples who get into the trend long before them so that those peoples earn more than them.
3. They want to make peoples leave bitcoin and chose other digital currency which they have bought with the intention to raise its value, greed are disgusting when are too much that you do anything to get what you want.
4. Etc you can think of.

So don't mind those peoples, only sell your bitcoin or buy it when you see profit.

You've just noted the symptoms of Izabella Kaminskaitis (first seen in the medical journals circa 2013)

It's backed by everyone agreeing that it's worth something.

1000 ... cool but not shocking or even that surprising really, where to from here?

i) Consolidate around the $1k mark, some chance of rather deep dump also but eventually coming back to $1k mark.

ii) New ATH $1165 is now definitely on the top of the list for upside targets. From there $1500, $1800 and $2000 have to be good psych attractors also.

iii) Mad bullish (5th adoption wave) scenario is to keep trucking on the doubling trend, $1800 by end of March, $3600 mid-May, $7200 early June, $9588 blow-off top late June early July.

The next target is 10,000 CNY

Hi everyone. I was here in 2013 for the last run up to 1000 dollars and now I'm back.

It's been a tough three years but now I just want to hug all you bastards and sing we shall overcome   Grin
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why has this capitulation been so slow? on: February 02, 2015, 12:30:30 AM
Partly because the China bubble didn't pop all at once. As with many actions of the government of China, pressure to stop doing something was gradually increased over time. Remember all those posts on here that "nothing was changing in China"? Well, it was. It took a while for the bubble to deflate.

Bitcoin has had two major bubbles - Silk Road drugs and China exchange controls. Both are over. The question is, what is Bitcoin worth if it's no good for getting away with illegal transactions?

On your advice I've been waiting since late 2011 for bitcoins that are worth less than nothing. How much longer do I have to wait until people pay me to take their coins  Huh
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin made rich just a few but it ruined many on: January 01, 2015, 11:53:57 PM
"Bitcoin made rich just a few but it ruined many"
Look, Bitcoin is zero-sum. For every win, there must be a lose. Somebody has to put in cash and not get it back. Bitcoin needs a lot of suckers losers to keep it going.

They're called HODLrs.

Awwwh Nagle is upset that bitcoins still aren't worth less than zero. Poor Nagle. Keep the insults flying for another three years and perhaps your dreams will come true.

People who try to sell bitcoin as a way to protect one's investment from inflation should be jailed, IMHO.
Surely everybody who has a different economic opinion than yours deserves to rot in jail.....

No, just those who try to swindle others by selling them shares of dry oil wells, water-powered cars, ponzi schemes, etc..

No sane person would invest in cash, unless the money came from some illegal activity, or one is trying to evade taxes.

Real estate, and stocks of large, established and diversified companies are usually a safe investment.  Even if they are overpriced at some point, and may crash eventually, there is a limit to how much they can go down before hitting their fair price.  Since they are material property, their real value will not be affected by inflation.  For those who are too lazy or small to use those investments, there are many bonds and investment funds that are somewhat riskier and offer smaller returns, but will still protect from inflation.

I don't have much to say about gold, except that it seems to be vastly overpriced, and its price charts are not nice at all.

No one can honestly predict the future of bitcoin.  It may rise again to thousands of dollars, or it may be superseded by something else and go down to zero.   It is a big gamble, a lottery ticket with unknown odds.  People should be free to gamble, but must know that it is gambling and not investment.

Yeah real estate is a really safe investment. No bubbles or wild speculating going on in any real estate market ever. I'm going to buy a house right now. How about this one. The razor wire in the back garden is cute.

9  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm going to warn you guys one last time. on: September 26, 2014, 12:41:46 PM
Stop going all in on bitcoins, and start holding on to something that is more reliable, like fiat.  This was my post when bitcoin went OVER 1k.  A lot of you guys were at a type of high unrivaled by anyone, not even a crack head.

This was my post:

"You guys are all FUCKED"

Bitcoin was well BELOW 1k on December 22 2013. Your trolling would be more effective if you could get your facts correct.

11  Economy / Speculation / Re: view: bitcoin has hit its full potential on: September 25, 2014, 08:30:51 PM
Bitcoin is the Segway of money.  It works, it's moderately useful, and it's not going to change the world.

But you were full certain back in 2011 that Bitcoin would be dead in a matter of weeks and the price would actually go into negative territory. Have your predictions got any better since then or are you still talking nonsense  Cheesy
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: *That* chart has made it all the way to the FT! on: September 23, 2014, 04:25:12 PM
The author Izabella Kaminska is a Bitcoin troll who's been writing garbage on the topic for a long time now. Her opinions on Bitcoin are totally discredited and she writes about the subject with a delusional confidence only matched Leah McGrath Goodman. You're better off reading r/buttcoin.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: London house prices a bubble waiting to burst? on: September 22, 2014, 05:57:30 PM
I am not an expert in the housing market, so I wanted to ask your opinions. Is this price rise in London sustainable? I look at the price declines in the USA and Japan and ask why the UK is different?

Of course prices are not sustainable. The average salary in London is approximately £30,000. If you want to live in an area that doesn't have alcoholics and gypsies defecating in your front garden a house will cost half a million pounds. Loans to income levels are ridiculous.

I know of an apartment near Mare Street, Hackney which sold for £600,000 to a Chinese investor. Totally bonkers. Mare Street is known as "murder mile" and smells of piss every morning after the vagrants have cleared off.

Prices might not be sustainable, but they still might go up further before coming down. The Chinese investor might be lucky if he exits at the right time.

I wish the Chinese investor the best of luck with his grim 3 bedroom ex council flat. I just pray that the £600,000 isn't mortgaged from a UK bank.

England is an isle so you have limited place to put house on. So is totally normal, price will go sky high. IF Scotland would independent, you would lose half of island, then would be really crisis begun. So you should be so grateful right now and not complain.

Totally incorrect about the limited space argument. Most of England is a desert of empty green fields within easy reach of local town/city centres.

Take Oxford for example, one of the most expensive places to buy a house in the country. There's loads of room to build more homes but the local land hoarder (Oxford Uni) only releases land for building when they need to top up the university coffers. A land value tax is the only way to destroy the landowner/serf way of living.

Can somebody quote me on calling the bottom?
I would like to say "told you" in the future.

Today I had a new insight which confirms my previous prediction
about the next bubble start (which you can read at the left)

Do tell?

I will, afterwards. I don't want to look like a moron if I'm wrong Smiley Smiley Smiley

Only morons are allowed to post in this thread  Wink

In a practical sense how is Amero Monero different from Darkwallet?
18  Economy / Economics / Re: UK Downgraded from LOL to LMAO on: September 18, 2014, 10:40:58 AM
Well played Westminster. You've kept running a huge deficit without sinking the pound and kept house prices astronomical whilst pushing down wages. Bonus marks for condoning zero hours contracts. Bravo.

Come on Scotland, this your chance to start a fight back. Say YES and this thread will get busy. Losing 10% of its GDP and all of its oil will have Westminster up in a heap. They don't like it up'em!

Its amazing watching the same shit play out every freaking year on this forum. I've seen the same posts by the latest noob troll over and over and over.

Ad hominem attacks just show us you don't have any arguments.

The OP didn't have any arguments either.

Also if bitcoins are beanie babies what should we call deposits in Cypriot banks?

Just take a look at huobi bid depth vs ask depth at 100%. If that doesn't scare you nothing will.

https://www.huobi.com/trade/index.php?a=depth

Bid/Ask depth is only dickwaving. If the price gets a bit of momentum going in either direction walls appear and vanish in an instant.
