I'm just wondering why no one talks about multipool.us
It seems like they've just dropped off the face off the earth despite still having ~500Th on the network.

A ticket is not going to help when no one is getting paid.
I've been getting paid regularly. Haven't had a problem.

2x 120 sockets if they're on different circuits, which for most people means different rooms.
unless you want to run it in your kitchen

@ s0br: Stop being a chicken sh*t & answer the questions like you keep saying you will, or stay the proven scammer you are.
Count me in on this too - it's about time s0br posted some explanations like he said he would. Why so quiet s0br? Answer the damn questions already. Man up FFS. He doesn't spend any time in the forums but I talk to him every day on freenode and he is readily accessible.. I can't speak for the past since I have only been with him a couple of months, nor do I understand the history and pure hatred some have toward him... However I can say without a doubt he is a solid pool operator and is a stand up guy, addressing any issues I've had personally... I'm assuming they are associated with people who run other pools and are trying to tank BAN

That's better. This thread looks so much better now.
I didn't realize we could just ignore him. What a time to be alive!

So, over two weeks have passed since Mr Transparency (s0br) posted this:
Go away already. Nobody cares about you.

I've earned 0.00071229 in 30 minutes. On slush I get approx. 0.008 per block. At this rate it will take approx. 5.5 hours to earn 0.008btc However. By entering the last 10 block durations at http://www.csgnetwork.com/timescalc.html it gives an average duration of 5 hours 24 minutes. 10 previous was average 5 hours 16 minutes. So, no real difference there. Might go looking at some other pools to compare. Unless some pool gets super lucky BAN pays the best because it is PPS with no fees and 1% bonus. Except when they don't pay or they reduce your payout PPS rate because they feel like paying you less than they should did you submit a ticket? there are quite a few on this very forum who have submitted a ticket and got paid. so, did you submit a ticket? I have always gotten what I thought I had coming, the problem is once I just happened to be on IRC chat when a problem was talked about and I had to sumit a ticket to get paid, which I didn't catch on my own. So it makes me wonder how many times I didn't catch something, which never crossed my mind until the lowered amounts in people's accounts because of the diff change that happened to everyone and they should not have to beg to be paid the right amount. This happened to all so the pool should go back and pay all the miners not just the ones that sumit a ticket. EdIt: If the pool wants to be 100% transparent then an email should have been sent out to all miners explaining what happened and what the pool was going to do to make all miners 100% whole not just the ones that sumitted tickets. now this is a good point. This is why we log every share ever submitted to have the opportunity to go back and rectify an errors. We now tag the shares with the network diff they were submitted at so it doesn't happen again. It's been fixed. When the difficulty dropped I did pay the higher PPS rate. I think only one person noticed that. I get this exact same thing at work. Staff are quick to notice is their cheque is missing hours but apparently I've never gave them extra hours.

ToastedJelly, I deeply apologize for the delay on your prize. These have been delayed for the simple fact is our prize guy has been on vacation for the last few weeks of the year. We do expect him to return this week and all prizes won/owed should be shipped / paid out.
Jshock Cryptsy Customer Service Manager
So why didn't someone fill in for him in the meantime? Many ppl have been on vacation for the holiday season. Those left are needed in more important areas. Such as making sure the site runs smoothly, withdrawals and deposits go in and out in a timely manner, and in making sure that your investments are secure. Which one should we swap prize shipments from? A little condescending there. Not very good customer service. How about, " sorry for the delay but we've had a number of people off during the holidays and have been operating with minimal staff who are working hard to keep the exchange up and running. We will do our best to fulfill your order as soon as possible." Then maybe throw in a little something extra for goodwill when actually shipping the item.

Probably prefers moaning if the BAN thread is anything to go by. It's fight club over there. lol, small price for him to pay to get to hear himself talk

Been with BAN since the day I started mining. Payments relatively regularly, no fee.
All I see is a couple specific accounts going to the end of the world to spread lies and bash this pool.
Maybe the bashers have a vested interest in another competing pool and want to sway hashrate away from their competition.
Troll Shills maybe?

Or when they have "payout bugs"... when has the orphan problem happened?

It's so funny to keep reading all these posts of people freaking out and calling scam every 2 seconds then you see a post of someone advertising 0.1W/gh for 7BTC and they get 1k preorders

mass adoption for north america won't happen until security against scams are covered for consumers. Right now if you send someone a payment with bitcoin there is no recourse (legal or otherwise) to get your money back if you don't receive what is promised. If someone hacks your account and buys things you aren't protected either.
I don't know how it is in Europe but in Canada and the US we have many established, bank backed, and well-ingrained payment systems for consumers. (credit cards and paypal)
With my mastercard I get extended warranty and extra coverages, it's accepted everywhere (anyone that would even think of accepting bitcoin would also accept MC), if my card is lost or stolen and someone maxes it out MC will refund me everything, and, best of all, if someone doesn't provide me with the service we agreed on then I request a chargeback and MC takes the money back from them.
Paypal is just as good as Visa and MC and none of them charge me as a consumer a fee.
What does bitcoin offer?
Until bitcoin can offer consumers a service that's on par with the already easy-to-use and trusted payment services then it will always just remain a toy. Something for people to play around with and talk about on the internet.
And don't waste time talking about escrow. Both consumers and merchants want an instant transaction so escrow is useless for day-to-day transactions.
Take for example my first bitcoin experience. I tried to purchase a router from tigerdirect.ca (a merchant that's been accepting bitcoin for a while now).
I made a payment but it was only a partial payment. The order got locked in the system and I couldn't access it to pay the balance. I immediately called cx service, they told me to wait till monday to have the order populate in their system. Monday came, cx service couldn't access the order. I was told to email cx support to request a refund. Well the issue has been escalated several times now and still no refund. Just today I had to make another 2 calls and sent yet another email requesting a refund. Fingers crossed that this will be the one that gets to the right place. As it stands it has been over 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten the issue resolved. What scares me is that if Tigerdirect just sent me an email that simply said, "suck it, you're not getting a refund." there would be absolutely nothing I could do.
TL:DR
Bitcoin has no protection for consumers. MC, VISA, paypal already offer a simple, trusted, and protected service that cost consumers nothing to use. There is no value that bitcoin brings to that market.

i hope we get follow up info on how many take them up on the offer...
could be a smart ploy to get staff to spend more wages in store lol like bar tenders who get one free drink after work ;p
My guess? None. The price is too volatile right now for this. This is when to buy when the crowd is scared. I wouldn't say that is true when you are dealing with people's paychecks. If you are earning a living then you want the money you receive from your work to have a stable value. It might be a good idea to have a certain portion of your paycheck be bitcoin but not the entire amount Even taking a small amount of their paycheck in btc would be great. They get the option to try out Bitcoin without opening an account anywhere and learn first hand how easy it is to use. I'm convinced that anyone using btc for an online payment, even once, will see how easy it is and be inclined to keep using it. The downside I've always seen is getting the btc in the first place. These people don't have that problem. The problem is there are already far better payment options out there for consumers. Making a payment in bitcoin is risky. The first payment I made was to tigerdirect.ca and then the order got lost in the system. I still haven't gotten my item, credit, or refund and I have absolutely zero chance or recourse. If I would have paid with any of my credit cards (which literally anyone can get) or paypal I would have already settled my chargeback/dispute. Consumers don't pay fees with CC or PP so why should I pay with anything else?
