if you want to succeed, you really need a better site. In addition to problems with design and image resolution, it is not fully translated into English

I think it's risky to invest all investments in a new crypto project. even investments in bitcoin at this stage are not so risky

Also, with some people it’s better to keep secrets, otherwise they will change facts and tell the world your story.

1173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to determine if an FPGA is suitable for mining? on: February 11, 2012, 01:19:13 PM
Call it unethical but my friend from college has a 4x5970 setup running 24/7 in his office at work. He has a few more of the same rigs running 24/7 at his sister's house because she is on some low income energy program where she pays a flat rate no matter the usages.

Tapping power that is being paid for by the state/government doesn't matter to me. We are paying for it one way or another.

I don't see how you couldn't come out a head. Farmers that built their windmill here and had professionals hook it up have had their windmill running for over 10 years. My Uncle which owns land out in the country has had his for over 20 years and looking at his bill he averages 1,100KW a month. That is roughly 2,000 a year at .15 cents a KW. He built his system as something to do after retiring and spent under 10k. All he has done over the years is add and replace batteries. With the other hardware it is like buying a PSU. The higher quality and proper sized unit will save you money in the long run.

The best way to go if you have the know how is to build your own wind turbine and buy professional blades if you lack engineering skills. Build your "windmill" and then pay a company to install/setup the wiring and equipment inside your house. I have seen farmers do this and they have built 30+KW/h out of material they had lying around. Of course the only part they bought pre-built was the actual generator that the turbine spins.
+1
It makes things a lot cheaper for you in the end if you can do some of the building yourself. It is possible to do solar/wind at a lot cheaper than boxed prices if you know how to do some wiring and building yourself.

And there are designs for wind mills that give plenty of tolerance to balance, wind speed. Such as the VAWTS design.

I don't consider the green energy investment part of the cost. Why? Because it would serve as taking me off the power grid after mining is over for good, and going green is more than saving money on your bill. It is or should be about helping the earth. Not to mention depending where you live you can actually get paid for your excess energy production.
