41  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.95.1 is out on: March 24, 2017, 03:53:28 PM
Thanks achow101, but although the armoryDB.exe window shows "Connected to Bitcoin node" and the Armory shows 458619 (which is the latest according to blockchain.info) the error occurs.

Seems I have to try the "broadcast raw signed tx"...sounds complicated, seems I have to read a bit for it Sad

I click sign offline then sign it and copy the raw transaction, then I pushtx on blockchain.info

One can use this link to even pick who they want to mine it (e.g. if one wants to avoid that bitcoin unlimited $@!%&^* )

http://www.preferredminer.com/
"Instead of broadcasting to the regular mempool, paste a valid raw signed Bitcoin transaction here to be mined by your preferred miner(s)."

It's been a while since I've checked back on the faucet scene. Are there really only three active faucets left?
No, not really. This is just a topic. OP might be busy and not updating.

I check it almost everyday.

There are two issues.

First, most faucets these days seem to be to be a combination of: scammy; spammy; annoying; with pop-ups & redirections; not working with ad-blockers & privacy badger etc.; paying out very little; asking for personal information; making users jump through too many hoops... I could go on, but basically a waste of time at best and a security risk at worst.

Second, if there are more good faucets that meet the criteria of this list then no one is submitting them for inclusion here.
I don't have time to go searching for them all over the net.

Another issue is that with the demise of faucetbox some faucets are moving to other systems like that which ask for personal-information registration and don't seem trustworthy. One of the big points of Bitcoin is that with it we can move beyond systems which require trusting third parties with personal information etc. Faucetbox did it right; one just needed to input their Bitcoin address, nothing more.

Given all that there are a couple faucets that I am checking out at the moment, including Moon Bitcoin which was taken off the list for popping up a new browser tab and a redirection but now seems to be acting properly again. Maybe it was the victim of some hack or something. If it continues to act properly I will re-add it to the list.

From FaucetBox on 7th November 2016:
Quote
We have a sad news to announce: FaucetBOX.com is closing. We disabled creating new accounts today. On 19 December 2016 we will disable our API, which means that faucets using FaucetBOX.com will stop working. We will continue to handle withdrawals for owners and users until 16 January 2017. You have 6 weeks to update your faucets and migrate to other micropayments services. Remember that you have to reach the payout threshold to receive a withdrawal. Faucet owners will have to manually withdraw their coins in Dashboard before 16 January 2017...
More information here: https://faucetbox.com/en/closing

Some faucets, like ChronoX.co.in and WeatherX.co.in in the OP, have started using ePay.info

In this week, I got a problem with freebitco.id, the captcha can't showed and I tried to refresh this is still happen, are you have same problem with me?

Look closely and you'll see that you can choose between 2 different ones. The Solve Media one( which I think is less annoying than the reCaptcha one ) wasn't working for a few days but I think it started working again today.

Awkward moment, when your 1070&1080 slower, than R7 370 Sad

That's the card I have. I didn't change any clock speeds or voltages; I didn't roll back the catalyst driver to 15.12; and I am getting ~30 H/s.
I suppose that is not bad for what many consider outdated tech.  Grin

hello add this to your list is a good ibrid faucet/game without captcha!

http://r4btc.eu

best regards

Wow really bad, many pop ups.

I don't see any pop-ups; probably because of the ad blocker and privacy badger etc., I have installed.
Thanks for the input... another reason not to add this.

If anyone sees any pop-ups, and similar, with any of the faucets on the list please let me know.

Thx

I will check it out but this list is for faucets that don't require jumping through hoops like game-type interfaces...

80% chance of getting only 1 satoshi?! Well I doubt very much this will be appearing on the list...

Thanks for the submission.
52  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: October 27, 2016, 07:05:35 PM
i consider moonbitcoin a scam because it uses a country filter to discriminate and filter the claim values. I don't care if poor countries does not bring any worthy incomes ,a good and honest admin will not use country filter and will set the average claim value for everybody .

That is rather rude but as long as one isn't paying anything in to it in order to receive something back I don't see how it is a scam.

Thanks for your input.

Anyone else, please feel free to offer your views on this faucet.

Thx

Hi
i had a problem with my host, and i guess that why my site was added to "discontinued" list..
Can you check : http://Captchas.rocks and see if it can be listed again?

Claims 50 to 250 every 30 mins.
Cumulative Jackpot
No pop-ups
Referral commission= 20%
Special Events every week

Thanks

I fill in a bitcoin address; do the capthcha; and then click on "get a reward!" but a new tab is opened in my browser with some seemingly random faucet site...
I don't see any bitcoin reward from you.

Are you a faucet or a rotator of other faucets?
54  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: September 20, 2016, 03:43:29 PM

This one http://bitcoinforfree.ml/ asks you for your fackbook password and e-mail login, this is surely one way for fackbook users to get hacked

Yes indeed. Both of them are like that basically. That is one reason why one should avoid faucet lists on random
websites. One has to trust that the sites listed there are actually verified to be safe. More likely the owners are
just interested in throwing up a bunch of referral links to any old faucets no matter what they are and what they
do to try and make a quick buck.

Using the list in this thread's OP, which doesn't include referral links, one is better protected by not only the
moderators of the forum, who will remove any suspicious links, but also by the feedback of the community here
in general who follows this thread about what faucet sites are worth it or not.

Of course one is never 100% protected no matter what they do( a once good faucet can all of a sudden go bad
without warning; & do let everyone here know if you find that is the case with any faucet you use on this list )
so one should always be careful, including not giving out any personal information, and using a bitcoin address
that you only use with these faucets.
55  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: September 20, 2016, 03:22:04 PM
Sites that require one to provide personal information in order to 'sign up' are not added to the list for obvious privacy/security reasons.

One of the big benefits of Bitcoin is that one doesn't need to use such unsafe and old fashioned ways of doing things anymore.

Check some of my projects out as well Smiley

www.faucetgame.com
www.gamefaucet.com
www.pokebits.com (working on a new design and a lot of new stuff)
www.blockfaucet.com

Those are gaming sites which have faucets implemented. Users can only claim if they don't want to play the games.

Thanks

Does one have to use those claimed bitcoins in your games? Does one need to register in order to withdraw those
claimed bitcoins?

Users don't need to register in order to play the games.
They have to register in order to withdraw their satoshi, yes.

They can use acquired bitcoin to play the games, or they can simply withdraw them.

Okay, thanks. I'll check it out.
